While visiting the area, my daughter wanted me to try this restaurant. The food was very good, many vegetarian options and the manager came to our table to make sure the order was done to our specifications which helped us feel comfortable eating from the«grill». I highly recommend this restaurant and loved the dye tye shirts every one had on… even had some for sale … very eclectic … unique… so many choices on the menu as well so something for eveyone !! I will be returning.

It got one star only for the cute atmosphere… The food was mediocre at best(kinda terrible actually) and generic. It was expensive for the quality and quantity. The worst part was the up charges that were not mentioned by the waitress. Our bill came and we felt ripped off and tricked. We were charged for condiments(ranch) and sides we thought that came with the meal. Would not recommend for the food — even though it looks adorable from the outside and had really clean bathrooms

This place was ok, but nothing fabulous. It is a very eclectic atmosphere with a wide variety of food to choose from. They do have a large beer selection, which is always nice!

Great new location! Very quick service, friendly wait staff & classic Cooties Brown food quality. The restaurant feels very open with the same bright colors as the Johnson City location. Glad we decided to stop here on our way to the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion!

This was a poor dining experience from beginning to end. Had a long wait even though tables were available(when diners departed those tables were not filled). There were more empty tables than full, yet peope had to wait. Service was unacceptable. Waitress dropped off drinks, dropped the pizza and then was not seen again until we were nearly finished at which time she finally brought over plates for the pizza(a little late). The pizza was mediocre at best(I’ve had better frozen pizza). Management not very interested in customer experience.

Doris and I had lunch at Cootie Brown’s today. It has been open for only a few weeks. The service was quite adequate but we had mixed results with the food. I had an Italian sub. It was toasted and quite good. Doris had chicken taco salad. The greens were fresh and crisp. The chicken was cold and not well seasoned. The taco bowl was tough rather than crisp. The salsa was more like ketchup with hot sauce added. The chocolate turtle cake was OK

Not impressed at all. Food really wasn’t that great. Steak tasted like frozen Walmart steak. Barbecue chicken was good. Service was okay. The best thing about dinner was the atmosphere.

I got the Cootie Burger — I had 3 pieces of grizzle in the burger. The chips were okay but nothing spectacular. Service was a bit on the slow side although friendly. I will definitely try something else next time

Our server Cassie was a great introduction to one of the best restaurants in Bristol(Tennessee or Virginia, it’s all one city to us, folks). The restaurant has only been open a few weeks but features the same delicious menu as the one in Johnson City, Tennessee. EVERYTHING is made from scratch and the portions are huge! Cassie said the sauces, salad dressings(the Maytag bleu cheese is to die for), all the incredible array of desserts, everything is homemade every day — «and they don’t skimp on the portions, either!» She has worked at the two restaurants for four years so knew her stuff. My wife ordered the Mixed Seafood Grill — tuna, shrimp, and salmon — and loved it, with an upscale vegetable medley of artichokes, spinach, peppers, and melted goat cheese. Mine was a Jamaica Jerk Chicken dinner, which came out with TWO chicken breasts, perfectly seared and blackened on the outside to lock in the juicy goodness, accompanied with mango bits and a nice spicy Jerk sauce, wonderful! We wanted a house salad each in addition(upcharge of $ 1), and they were both so huge we ended up taking them home … plus we each brought home half of our lunch entrees. As we were leaving, I noticed that MOST of the folks were carrying home leftovers — a really good sign! I must also mention that extensive beer selection, 51 different kinds including everything from Guinness Stout to standard brews and local micros. This place has a huge selection of food and drinks for all tastes, we managed to eat healthy — they have a lot of really appealing salads — but if you want to carb load on pizza or the homemade potato chips, you can do that too. GREATVALUE and HIGHLYRECOMMENDED. Thanks Cassie! PS Oh, I forgot to mention, both the missus and I thought the amount of food received versus the amount of the bill represented a great buy! I told her«This is the best meal we have had in Bristol in a long time!»

We have been waiting for this location to open. We stopped by for an early dinner and had a foot time. We have never visited the Johnson City location so we didn’t know what to expect. We shared the spirial chips with blue cheese to start. Then I had the tamale platter and my wife had the oyster po-boy. Also the beer menu is extensive! They brought me a couple of samples before I found the perfect brew! Now the REAL surprise, the bill was a shock!!! The prices are VERY reasonable! I had expected it to be much more. I can’t wait to go back!

We had been to the Johnson City location a few weeks back and knew of this Bristol location. We were heading back into TN after spending a weekend in Shenandoah and wanted to stop off here for dinner. We didn’t realize it was the opening weekend. We were fearful that it would be packed and have a long wait. Obviously we wanted something quick so we could get home. With a brand new restaurant, you are also fearful of bad service while they work the ‘kinks out’. Luckily, all went well. We were told that there was a wait for the tables(out on the patio) but that there were available high tops at the bar. So we went to the bar and were served immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We even had another waiter, who appeared to show up later and take care of the new people next to us, come over to us twice to ensure we were well taken care of. Of course there were a few hiccups… Glasses were dropped/broken behind the bar. The kitchen apparently forgot to put most of my toppings on my BBQ black bean burger(namely the sauteed onions and cheese). It was brought out to me later on separate plates. Again, with apologies from our waiter. It was understandable and minimal issues. We also appreciated the acknowledgement and apologies. The food was good, the prices are right. I also appreciate the vegetarian options. We would definitely come back anytime we’re passing thru. To note differences we noticed between this location and Johnson City — This one is bigger and has a full bar area. It also has a very large parking area. They also have mist machines out on the patio area to keep you cool. It did seem to us that they didn’t have as big of a beer selection at Bristol, but assume that more beers will be added later. But that said– they still have a very large selection of beers and I enjoyed a tasty nut brown ale.

It’s definitely worth a try. atmosphere kinetic, made from scratch, can be very busy at times like any good restaurant. no boring esthetics here alive! with the sound of happy dinners chatting away enjoying their food. went the first weekend they were open 20 min wait yes please I need a black bean burger peach pie and a taco salad the service was as fast as could be, but was not terribly long our server Kayli was very good, everything was perfect and she was attentive but not overly. So very thankful one opened in Bristol never had the chance to eat at the one in Kingsport. we drive to Johnson City, TN one every few weeks now we have one closer 8 miles
