I’ve been reviewing the Bristol Amish Market and the Newtown Farmer’s Market over the years and I keep getting away from finishing my reviews and no farmer’s market would be complete without fresh produce, at the Bristol Amish Market, Ike’s Garden fills these shoes. The space is no where as large as the produce areas inside the Reading Terminal Market, but they make good use of what they have, filled with fresh fruits and veggies, selling their own home grown products and that of locals when in season. I’ve never had a bad experience here, they supply the stand with what they think they will sell in three days and it’s always fresh, firm and in great shape. Ha, we are talking about fruits and veggies here. I bought some of the best sweet corn here this summer and their blackberries were so huge and sweet. Squash and Brussels sprout season is coming up and I will go crazy over buying, because I love the stuff. I’ve never met a fruit or veggie that I did not like and there is always a wide variety here to choose from. Oh and they have a cooler filled with fresh squeezed orange juice, it’s so cold and sweet and it’s nearly impossible to pass up. Their prices are fair and they are open year ’round, but only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Can you say Ratatouille!
