My friend and I went on a Monday night. It wasn’t very busy and we were greeted and seated righted away. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered 3 small appetizers and a side salad… all came out quickly and were absolutely delicious! We never had to wait on refills and the entrees also arrived appropriately timed but both were cooked incorrectly. My salmon was almost raw and her steak was overcook. It took us longer than it should have to track down our server and let her know, but once we told her, she hopped into action to fix it! The new owner/manager also came over to make sure we were going to be happy. He personally went back to the kitchen and cooked another steak himself. It was PERFECT! One of the best steaks I have ever eaten! Thanks for making things right. Would definitely go back again.

I was skeptical of stopping due to the two star rating. However, our server was very attentive, my glass of water was never allowed to empty. Although there was a minor mistake in the steak temp, they recooked my steak and it was perfect! The manager/owner came to the table. They’ve made some changes and are actively working at getting better and better.

Call ahead service is great if you know how to use it. Called and made reservations at 5 for expected dinner at 6. Came in Outback at 6 and was told we had a 35 minute wait that turned into a 45 minute wait. It he explained to me that that was the policy to be added when you got to the restaurant. Why do they have call ahead seating if they are not smart enough to know what the term means.

Visited at 11am on January 2, 2016. My party of 2 was the 2nd group in the door upon opening. We ordered an appetizer, salads and a simple chicken pasta entrée. The appetizer and salads came in a timely manner but the entrée took 35 minutes. After seeing others who came in after us receive their entrees and asking our server about ours, the server made excuses that they were very busy. They weren’t that busy and I mentioned that. Then the excuse was that the dish takes a long time to cook. I sure wouldn’t want to eat a chicken breast or noodles that have cooked for a half hour. I could have looked past the long time to get the entrée but the server did not once ask us if we needed anything. We had to flag him down every time and he was exceptionally rude during our entire visit. On top of that he over charged us by $ 11.48 and we had to get the manager to remove the over charges. Regardless, we still tipped him 30% of the final bill because we thought perhaps he was just having a difficult day, but most people would have withheld a tip with such rude and inattentive service

We waited about 45 minutes for our food, and the restaurant was almost empty. The ribeye was poorly seasoned and over cooked for the temperature I ordered. The service was poor, and silverware dirty. I don’t usually expect much from Outback… but this was subpar for a chain steakhouse.

Service has been terrible. So I just got my meal and all that was on the plate was the salmon. No salsa and no side.

No, please listen to the other reviews. This was the worst outback/with horrible food. We travel a lot and sometimes just need a consistent protein etc… but this restaurant had unwashed salad, over salted chicken and slippery filthy floors. Avoid,

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The bathrooms were nasty. We had an hour long wait to be seated. It took 45 minutes to get food, which was not good. At any given time there would be 4 – 5 tables on our side of the dining room empty with dishes to be cleaned off. At one point, we counted 9 tables that hadn’t been seated, and there were people waiting for tables. We heard complaints all around where we were seated. Complaints from other customers included steals not being cooked as ordered, horrible service, dirty dishes, and one gentleman was upset because he was told he would be the next seated, and he wasn’t. Manager wearing a blue shirt spent most of his time standing with the hostesses.

I give it 3 stars because my food was decent. What has happened to outback? It has really gone down hill. The host staff was so unfriendly. No smiles, no hellos. I had to just say we have 3 in order to get anything from them. Our server was alright. He kept setting nasty trays with food on tables and leaving them. Just gross. Steak was overcooked to medium but we were ready to get back on the road so I ate it. It wasn’t terrible though. The salad had more than 3 pieces of lettuce so I was impressed with that. Overall this place needs a retraining process for sure. If you want mediocre outback that’s definitely it.

I was there on 6÷4÷15. Service was very good. Food was great. I’m glad I did not pay attention to the previous bad reviews.

Service is horrible. Food is even worse and the management staff is extremely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Logan’s roadhouse.

We’ve been to this Outback at least six times, hoping that it would get better. As of now, we’re done. Without question, this is the worst outback that I’ve ever been to. The reception people are ice cold. The staff in the kitchen don’t have a clue how to cook a steak… and the steaks are the poorest quality of any other steak house. The baked potatoes must be cooked a week in advance to make them like hockey pucks. They’ve changed managers and staff, but this place needs to close and rebuild their procedures, staff, and their policies. In closing, it’s hard to believe that a successful chain like Outback could let one of their own sink to such a level.

Poor service, Also had to listen to wait staff berate the cook staff loudly which degraded into a shouting match. Not a good dinning experience.

This place wins the worst Outback award, hands down. If you’re a turtle and you like slow service, this is the place for you. Or if you like getting ripped off for terrible food, over cooked steaks, clumped up salads, and disorganized staff, then this is also the place for you! Unimpressed, unsatisfied and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Traveling through Bristol the weekend before Thanksgiving and stopped in for a quick lunch. We ordered from the lunch menu and had the Endless soup and salad. I had Potato Soup while my husband had the clam chowder. Both were excellent! The salad was fresh with great dressing. Our server was Sharon and she was very personable and served us well. We will stop in here again as we travel through.

The manager did not charge me for the raw steak or the brown avocado and sour crab appetizer I ordered, but I still feel like I must warn the fellow travelers staying at one of the neighboring hotels and expecting an acceptable meal at a national restaurant chain nearby… It was disgusting! :-((Oily plates, left-over chips with some fried residual onions on them, brown avocado with sour crab that I tried to be tolerant of(I am in Bristol after all!), and then this… A literally RAW steak!!!(I ordered medium). Check out the picture! Oh how I wish I’d also snapped one of the brown avocado — ick… Kudos to the manager for making it right by not charging me for this awful experience — he was very nice about it. But they seriously need a new chef and some quality control in the kitchen!!!

Of all the Outbacks I’ve been to this was surely the finest, and that is because of the staff. Jess was tending bar and the rapport she had with the staff separated this experience from the dozens of other Outbacks I have been to.

I usually enjoy the Outback experience but the worst ever in every aspect of the dining experience happened at this particular location.

I don’t hit Outback often, but I’m always pleasantly surprised. Steaks are good. Not Capital Grill Smith & Wollensky Morton’s good, but they aren’t trying to be. Prices acceptable. Service at this location was great. What’s not to like?

We’ve LOVED Outback Steakhouses and have visited them in just about every city we’ve traveled to(for business… a lot). Been a frequent diner with them for more than 20 years. Their food was consistently excellent and service was amazingly consistently good. We loved their Salmon, Pork Chops and Baby Back Ribs. When we moved to the Tri-Cities in 2007 we were happy to find an Outback in Bristol. After 6 or 7 visits we’ll NOT be returning again. We’ve had problems with EVERY visit to THIS location. For example: Food(salmon) not cooked properly(manager told me I ordered it wrong, but came back TWICE cooked the same way – raw!!!), food portion size MUCH smaller than in past visits(manager said, «yeah, corporate is really cutting back on portion size.») On several visits the Baked Potato has been COLD.(Now how do you serve a COLD baked potato and not know it?) During our last visit, the House Salad portion was so small it barely covered the bottom of the salad bowl.(I’m not exaggerating.) Every visit to THIS location has been a serious disappointment. Even for the two complimentary meal visits(FOUR meals free… due to the prior bad experiences) we had problems. Tired of management’s excuses and blaming me for their poor quality control. I believe it is just THIS Outback but it has soured me overall on Outback. Too many other better choices.
