I went back to Ruby Tuesday After over a year. Why did I go back. Why?! I won’t make this mistake again. It’s a weeknight. Moderately late @ 7 pm-ish. There are 3 people seated, one man eating and another couple patiently waiting. I’m quickly seated and … Wait. And wait and wait and wait. At this point I’m searching for a waiter to get some water. A bus-boy(girl, rather) who’s super nice and apoplectic informs me that the waiter is busy with a party of 20 and that she will help out with drinks. Ok… Go for it. She comes back with drinks and… Waiting. She returns and tells me she will just take my order.(I should mention the other couple who has been there for God knows how long is STILL waiting for drinks). I get a sandwich and salad bar. Arrive to salad bar and it’s a hot freaking mess… Out of the salad dressing I’m looking for and some veggies look nasty and no croutons. «That’ll be another 5 minutes to make.» Followed by «there’s supposed to be someone taking care of and refreshing the salad bar until we close.» Oh, well that’s special. Food finally comes out, delivered by Bus-girl, and were missing mayo but at this point whatever. Trying to keep my steadily increasing agitation to a minimum. By this time the other couple get their drinks and they are incorrect, to be sent back and made properly. Folks, this is a HOT mess. The supposed waiter finally drifts by and doesn’t introduce himself, or apologize but aka if I want a refill. He returns with a cup filled with ice and two sips of tea. I’m so very done and ready to go at this point… Past 8 pm. I flag someone down, get the check and for the first time in my life do NOT leave a tip for this«waiter.» I did however find the Bus-girl and hand her a cash tip since she did most of the work and deserved it. And that, my friends, is the story of my final trip to Ruby Tuesdays, ever.

Ruby Tuesday is one of those places where you go there and think to yourself, wow, what’s going on with my life that led me to a place like this? Unless you happen to have a gift card, know someone who works there, or are just REALLY into the make-your-own salad bar, I can’t think of one good reason to eat at a place like this. I know Bristol doesn’t really have a whole lot of good sit-down options(if you need one — Barley Vine), but there is at the very least a Chili’s literally right across the street. The couple times I’ve had to go to a Ruby Tuesday(not by choice), nothing stood out whatsoever but nothing was inedible, either. Ruby is the prototypical bland, American restaurant with nothing too splashy or exciting on the menu. If your idea of a good restaurant is «I don’t want to try anything new, new things are scary. I want my food to be American» then Ruby Tuesday could be the place for you(and there’s nothing wrong if that’s the case, but… boring!). If you put even a minute’s worth of thought into your food destination, I guarantee you’ll find a place more exciting than Ruby Tuesday. And this really goes for all locations, but I’ll just leave this right here on the Bristol one since it’s my home town and I’ve actually been to it before.

This place is a typical chain restaurant. The food tastes like it was previously cooked and frozen and thrown in a fryer. The menu is expansive but everything seems to be just mediocre. It’s what you would expect from a chain and this location is clean with fast service.

I have been to this Ruby Tuesdays many times over the years and had mediocre-terrible service, at best(including one evening when our waitress was noticeably inebriated), but last night was the final straw as far as Im concerned. We were seated in the practically empty restaurant and our waitress came over and took our drink orders. Our drinks were then brought over to us by a different member of the staff after a few minutes. We then waited for about 5 – 7 minutes before a 3rd waiter came over and said to us, «Uh, I know Im not your waiter but Im here to take your order.» Even though we were confused as to where our waitress had disappeared to after she took our drink order, we gave our appetizer & dinner orders to this new waiter. As a side note we also ordered an additional side of broccoli with our sons«kids meal» that is not included with it. After another 15 minutes or so, the manager and ANOTHER member of the staff appears with our appetizer and drink refills. We enjoyed those until our original waitress came by the table and just took the ¾ eaten spinach & artichoke dip off the table without even asking if we were done with it. At this point, we are getting a little annoyed at this(lack of) service. Our dinners were then brought out by the manager(again) and another waiter(not our original waitress) and there was no side of broccoli with my sons meal as we had ordered. After a few minutes, our original waitress(FINALLY) comes back to the table and asks how everything is. I tell her that we never got our sons broccoli that we had ordered, and she replies with, «Just so you know the kids meals do not come with a side, so thats probably why they forgot to include it.» To which my husband responded, «We know, we ordered it separate, but I guess thats what happens when you have 5 different people taking care of a table.» She then tells us the reason why she hasnt been attending to our table is that another one of her tables asked HERTOCOOKTHEIRFOODFORTHEM, so she had to go do that instead.” AREYOUKIDDINGME? What sort of establishment allows their customers to dictate WHO cooks their food in the restaurant at the detriment of their other tables/customers. That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Needless to say we left extremely unhappy and will NOT be returning… EVER.

Salad bar a little lacking comparing to others. Service a little slow.

It’s a Ruby Tuesday’s, so you can’t expect much quality. The guacamole appetizer was gross. The salad bar is lacking — they dont have nearly as much as they used to when I came to this place years ago. They’ve expanded their menu but decreased the salad bar. Heh!

Terrible food, small portions, served cold, same old same old bar food. DIrty carpets, tables, restroom. Dust pan and brooms left out in dining area. Expensive for what little you get. Skimpy seafood platter dispite high price. Cold sandwitch. Uninspired food.

My best friend and I came here for dinner. I had the turkey avocado burger with sweet potato fries & broccoli with the salad bar and my friend got crab cakes with spaghetti squash & the salad bar. I had no complaints about my food, except the steamed broccoli was kinda mushy… if it’s steamed I expect a little crunch still. My friend was thoroughly unimpressed with her crab cakes, which were too spicy, the potatoes cold, and the spaghetti squash tasteless. The waitress never checked back with us, like«how is everything», only when my plate was empty and my friend’s virtually untouched did she inquire if she liked the meal. The waitress then summoned the manager who asked her about the meal and, although to his credit, he offered an alternative, my friend politely declined. At that point the manager just kind of walked away and gave no indication that the meal would be comped(although it was). The bathrooms were disgusting — pee all over the seat of one toilet, and unflushed crap in another. I realize you can’t control the slovenliness of the customers, but you CAN periodically check and clean the bathroom. Also, when the meal was comped, they turned around and charged full $ 8.99 for the salad bar, instead of the $ 2.99 add on to a meal. Whilst technically I understand the rationale behind that, considering part of the crab cakes were consumed, the courteous thing to do would have been to only charge the $ 2.99. Fortunately Westfarms’ Ruby Tuesday is pretty good, so just keep driving on Route 6 until you run into 84 and head there instead.

After having a great meal at Ruby Tuesday’s in Harrisburg we decided to give the local one a shot. Although we were disappointed to find out the endless house salad is a test that is not in every location, the meal itself was again impressive. My salmon was cooked perfectly with adequate portions and reasonable prices. The wife got the chicken fresco and it was one of the few times I have seen her with an empty plate by time she was done. If you haven’t given them a try recently, I am now a reborn fan of Ruby’s

I’ve been there quite a few times for family get-togethers. The salad bar is pretty good, and the service has been from great to just OK. I am not a chain person, but I don’t argue when we go to this place. Usually, I find something on the menu that I like. Remember one thing, this is not fine cuisine and you won’t find much to write home about. Good food for a chain.

Salad bar is good. The rest of the food is ok. We went in about a month ago ordered salad bar and two cokes. The glasses were dirty felt grimy on the outside. I complained and got two new cokes in clean glasses. I forgot about it. We went back the other day. This time the silver ware was dirty. It had particles of food on it. I don’t think I’ll go back. I did send and email to the company complaining. They thanked me for the letter that was all. For the money Chilli’s across the street is better.

Love the salad bar but the rest of their menu can be hit or miss.
