View is awesome. Service is TERRIBLE. A lady next to us was asked how her food was and she said that the bread on her sandwich was old and stale and the waitress says«Aw man! They should put me in charge of the kitchen. No old bread allowed.» And walks away… Not an «I’m sorry» or «I’ll take it back to the kitchen and fix that right away… I’m appalled at how unprofessional she acted. We also sat down and were not greeted or asked for drinks for 7 minutes… we almost walked out but stayed for the view.

We just had apps and drinks. The stuffies are a must try! Calamari was also fresh and good. Good spot to watch the sunset.

The view is the reason to come here. Went out with the family for dinner and they were out of French fries… umm ok.(while eating a few tables over sat down after we received our food and they ordered and RECEIVED French fries-that didn’t go over well at our table but we didn’t say anything) Ordered something I didn’t want but still ate it. The food wasn’t the best. the dessert is AMAZING as I will go back for drinks and dessert any day while watching the sun set.

Food is decent and the view is magnificent. The location is top notch. It’s my go to place for an «upscale» pub-like atmosphere. Some nice items on the menu and the prices are reasonable. Review is based on the past year or so.

I go here for two reasons: the people and tilapia. Ok, three: the Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay on summer night. Great local hangout. Older crowd, but I’m older, so if I fits, I sits.

Go early for your choice of the tables. The view at sunset is out of this world beautiful. It is right on the ocean and you look out onto the sunset while enjoying your meal. Perfect. The food is okay, you go here more for the view than the food. Me and my boyfriend split the nachos. The menu warns you it is a lot of food, take the warning!!! We wish we didn’t order our burger afterwards because we were so full. The nachos were good, not the best nachos that I have ever had, but definitely enjoyable. The burger was eh. I had it cooked medium because me and my boyfriend split it. He likes it medium rare and I like it well done. He couldn’t enjoy a medium well burger, so I said lets just get it cooked medium. My boyfriend loved it. I thought it was okay. The buns were so yummy! I would recommend anyone to come to this restaurant, but I would tell them to show up at 4 in the summer so you can sit and have the best view of the sunset over the ocean.

Had really high hopes for this place but it fell a bit flat. It was busy so I’ll give the slow service a pass. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but that’s all it has going for it. Our draft beers came out warm, then we got a different draft and they still weren’t that cold. The fish and chips simply were not good and my girls Falerna flatbread was okay and so was the calamari. If I give this place another shot, it will be for the view.

Great view of the water and boats but otherwise this place is horrendous. The food was terrible. We had tuna steak which was incredibly bad. The service was slow. There are much better places to eat.

I’m a BIG fan of seafood and my dish was amazing. we sat outside on the deck on a Saturday lunch date. Was busy but service was great and quick. Drinks were made well also. My boyfriend had the steak tips with mash potatoes. Was also great! Will definitely go back!

Great view no doubt about it! Spoilt by way too loud music. The food! clam cakes were inedible, tough chewing and couldn’t find clam or even a piece of one! We couldn’t eat them, my dining companion and I had the same reaction. My mussels were slightly overcooked and dried up, my plate included 3 mussels that hadn’t opened, mussels had not been washed so some sand! Come on guys, you have a great location match it with great food I won’t be back for now!, will watch for future reviews

The calamari and little necks were good. The chowder is a cross between New England and Rhode Island style. The chicken wings were dry style. The Bloody Mary needs more tomato purée and flavor. Them shrimp cocktail was expensive based on the size. $ 2.50 each for 20 size. It’s really about the views and atmosphere. Our servier was attentive and good.

It is definitely the undisputed champion for the best view of the Bristol Harbor. Thank God for the new management! The food and service quality has gone up significantly from the days of Goeff’s… If you are a Bristol local, you know what I mean. The food quality had been consistently in high 3 to 4 star range since I have been coming here on regular basis. But I have to admit that they do have off days where the food was below 3. It is tricky knowing when it is or it isn’t above 3… Sigh ;-) Although I have not tried everything on the menu, the seafood theme dishes, from the appetizers to the main dish have been very good so far. I just stick with the signature items like the fried calamari and crab cakes. If you really want a rock-star quality seafood, then go to Quito’s down the street. Come here for the view, drinks and appetizers. The pricing is also pretty decent for a water-front venue. If you are in a larger city like Boston or New York or LA, you would be paying much more. For this reason, I think this place is a relative bargain, especially with the view. The service has been very attentive also. Erin is my favorite wait staff. She is always smiling, speedy and attentive. The other regular staff are also very friendly and professional. I have, however, seen this place gets really crowded and gets understaffed easily. I try to avoid those days/time to get better service. If you are from out of town, you may get caught up in that bad time slot. But that is still does not give the management excuses to under-staff . Overall, I have no hesitation for bringing my out of town friends and my relatives here when they come to Bristol, but again I pray that it is not their«off days.»

We came to Bristol to check out the Fourth of July festivities. We were 5 hours early so we decided we’d grab some drinks and food! we ended up at Thames waterside bar and grill and we were very happy with our choice. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our drinks were refreshing and delicious. We got crab cakes and studies and were not disappointed. I recommend this place to anyone in the Bristol area. It’s a beautiful view with great food and service.

We went there for lunch today around 1pm and all I heard while we waited a half hour for our appetizer of buffalo chicken(that was absolutely disgusting) to come out was I’m sorry we are really busy today!!! A couple was seated next to us and sat for 15 minutes and where not greeted by a waitress they finally asked the hostess for some wasters and I watched her go directly to the front door to seat additional parties and ignored there request!!! My boyfriend ordered the Texas burger med rare … It finally came to the table and was made well done along with burned bacon and charbroiled bun!!! This restaurant has great views and ok drinks but we defiantly will not be back any time soon!!! It was very disappointing when we spent $ 75 for lunch!!!

Best view in Bristol. Come eat here every time we are in town. Prices are fair an service is always good. Took a star off because they were out of stuffies last night when we went. Grrrrr Clam cakes were awesome.

I love the location! There is a rooftop bar which Is nice for some outdoor beverages! The outdoor food deck overlooks the water as well! We got the corner table right next to the water. Couldn’t have asked for a better seat! Super intimate! Our waitress was Ayla. She was very efficient and we got everything we asked for In a timely manner. She made a few suggestion when we asked for her opinion regarding entrees and appetizers. We ordered clam cakes for an appetizer. They were seasoned and tasty. They did not have chunks of clams in them. More of consistent texture. The kettle chips were sub par. We ordered Cajun and you could hardly taste the flavor. I also got some chips that were more or less floppy(not thoroughly cooked) compared to the expected crunchy Kettle cooked profile. We had the Frutti Di Marr and the Seafood Diablo. I am pretty picky about my tomato sauce. But it very tasty! I really liked that the dishes came out piping hot. I almost burnt my mouth on my first bite! The overall experience was magical. Beautiful spring night. Unobstructed waterfront dining. Efficient service. Hot food. And most of all Great company!

I liked it. I had a great burger for lunch. Great fries, and a great waitress. I would go back. Because of the great view I am sure this place is slammed in the evenings.

Thames Waterside Bar & Grill is located basically on the end of a pier with a short inlet to one side and a fantastic view of Bristol Harbor. We visited the area and went to Thames on the recommendation of one of our vendors — this was both for a taste of the local grub and a fantastic waterfront view — the afternoon was extremely bright with blue skies and a low volume of tourists. The place to sit at this restaurant is the deck — as you can see in the many photos. The menu was simple and more of what I think a tavern or bar would produce, but the highly coveted lobster roll could be found there which was of particular interest to me, having only experienced them in places where the lobster or preparation isn’t particularly fresh. The service was very good — we actually got a bit of work done while enjoying the beautiful views and sunny day. Sidd ordered a vegetarian Caprise Panini that he thought very tasty. I went for the lobster roll with slaw and a side-salad. The roll was fantastic with lobster falling in chunks as I tried to stuff an end into my mouth. No beer for me as we had an additional vendor to visit. (much longer review in my food blog)

I’ve never come for dinner or lunch, but this is the place to go for drinks and watching the sunset over Bristol Harbor. I’ve sat inside, outside along the dock and on the roof deck and never had a bad time here. The staff is friendly and quick. The appetizers I’ve tried here were all above average and the clam cakes were really, really good I thought. Listen, you’re not coming here for some gourmet masterpiece or «the best seafood on the East Bay!». Get a drink, try and get a good seat either on the roof deck or back patio and enjoy the views and vibe,
