The Float Spa

Buying a float spa from The Float Spa was a great experience. No where is that reflective than in the passion shown in how they build their spas. Throughout the entire transition they communicated with me and guided me until it was finally installed.
Thank you for an awesome job well done and my client’s truly get to experience one of the most rewarding moments of their lives.

After toying with the idea for several years, and prompted by a recent article on
, I decided I wanted to experience an hour in a sensory deprivation tank, and I found this one in Bristol, PA, not too far from Philadelphia.
Be aware that this is NOT a spa facility, so if you are looking for fluffy robes, herb tea, new age music and/​or «pampering,» this probably won’t be your kind of place. The partners who own this facility design custom float tanks for individuals and business as their primary business, and they maintain this tank at the back of their workshop, located in a residential area, in an old firehouse, for people to try out.
As one of the few people on earth, apparently, who hates to be fussed over, this arrangement was ideal for me. The one thing I DO care about is the cleanliness of the tank itself, which was both modern and pristine. The tank is housed in a fully renovated suite at the back of the building, complete with shower and bathroom facilities. The owner gave me a full rundown of how it works, answered all my questions, and even entertained my husband and allowed me some extra free time in the tank.
For me, it was a life changing experience. I highly recommend The Float Spa for anyone interested in floating, as long as you are not expecting a lot of fancy atmosphere.
