I’ve been to Jiffy Lube Live several times but last night’s Dixie Chicks concert was THEWORST ever. The sound was so loud and distorted you could hardy hear what songs they were playing and the crowd was OBNOXIOUS! People talking loudly the entire time, standing up the whole time, and literally THROWINGUP over the seat next to us. We left early… so disappointed.

My one star is for the venue and not the artists. Parking is a nightmare! Poorly planned out. We left before the encore to make sure we could get out. Also, food is wayyyyyyyy over priced and horrible! $ 6 for a bottle of filtered water! Outrageous! We paid $ 60 for crummy stale corn chips with runny cheese they called nachos, tough chicken and undercooked cold fries and two beers. The venue is pretty once you get in but if I have the choice to see an artist elsewhere I will. Very sad.

First review I’ve ever written. Normally not one to complain, but the parking was an utter disaster. Left before the encore to escape traffic backups. Did not work. We sat in a line of cars that DIDNOTMOVEANINCH for an hour, although we saw cars leaving across the gate that they refused to open the whole time. Absolutely unacceptable. One exit for thousands of people… seriously guys? So unhappy. Almost bad enough to ruin the GREAT mood Weezer had put us in. Jiffy Lube should be ashamed of themselves.

There are a couple of reviews that have already noted this venue’s issues. But my hope is that more negative reviews will knock the venue’s reputation down enough that they care enough to fix its issues! I was actually in traffic for nearly 2 hours to go down a 1.5 mile road to see a concert last night. This is absurd!!! I almost ran out of gas. When I complained to guest services and told them my issue, they were very nonchalant and blamed it on the number of people. No. That is not a fair excuse by any stretch of the imagination. We also had a very rude parking attendant who cursed at us when we complained about the very poor directions for parking. The venue itself is standard. It is plagued a bit by ugly yellow color and a big advertisement for Mattress Discounters or something. The screens were not that great of a resolution. We actually left a little early to avoid the onslaught of traffic which is also disappointing. I loved the band I saw(Weezer!) but I don’t think any band is worth going back into this mess of a venue.

My partner and I attended the Dixie Chicks concert tonight. It was a great place for a concert. Parking was simple but we had planned on arriving only about 30 minutes prior to the main act. We had reserved seats so that made it easy but not so much if we would have had lawn seats. It was a beautiful night and I was pleasantly surprised that we didnt overheat. We sat in sec 201 row N and we really enjoyed ourselves. We could see the main stage and lucked out with mot too tall people in front of us. We also had a good view of the big screen to the right. Bathrooms were easily accessible and concert staff were friendly. We parked at the backrow of section C10 failed to take note where we had parked. The parking attendants were able to figure out where we were based on the explaination we gave them. They were spot on and we found our car. Knowing that exiting the venue is a major issue, we were content to sit in our car and wait about 45 minutes until the are we were in started moving. I think that keeping the aisles and rows distinguished would help traffic control/flow. Also, we hoped that the police would have allowed us to turn right onto Wellington, which could have helped also. We brought in two water bottles and snacks in a sealed ziplock container so no need to worry about pricey snacks. Merch was great. Overall, we really had a good time and I would recommend coming here again.

Traffic in and out not terrible, police did good job getting us out. Had premier parking pass — for a mud pit. Food and beer prices way beyond ridiculous made for short vendor lines. Music sounds better up on the lawn.

I have to agree with all the reviews here. The parking is bad. It’s all over the place. And when you are walking to the lower parking lot you have cars that are traveling with you trying to get out. Very poor planning for sure. If you have to park in lower lot wear really good shoes. You will be walking on gravel for a long time and then you have to scale long and very steep steps to get to the venue. Crowd control… well there is none. If you stay until the end of the concert there is a surge to one stairwell going back down unless you want to chance it and try and manage the steep hill on the grass. At one point I thought I was going to get crushed trying to get to the stairs. I’ve never seen crowd control this poor. Tail gate at the end of the show not before. It will take you up to 1.5 hours to get out of there unless you leave mid show. And watch the broke glass in the parking lots. I doubt I would chose this venue again. Too risky in too many areas. This venue can do better.

We love outdoor venues and hanging out on the lawn during concerts. We’ve been to Wolf Trap in VA and PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ countless times and most recently BB&T Pavillion in NJ. We’ve never had an issue. We follow the rules and regulations posted. Tonight was no different. Parking was a breeze and they had a lot of employees in the parking lot to prevent people from bringing prohibited back packs, coolers, etc all the way to the gate only to be denied entry. Thank you! Except, after waiting 2 hours in what first seemed very organized which turned into a chaotic cluster after a ½ hour we were denied entry due to a personal tote size umbrella(which is still listed as an allowed item on their website). After throwing a bit of a fit as having the choice of tossing it or going back to lot F and putting it in the car and waiting in that cluster again, a nice guy offered us the chance to check it. Thank you sir, I know it’s not your fault, but the company you work for should update their website. Also, in this day and age how doesn’t a venue have regular metal detectors? That was the hold up. One person with a wand was stationed at each gate. No one to back them up when problems arose. Ugh! Hopefully the concert is worth it. Oh, and it just started to drizzle. How I wish I had my brand new umbrella!

This review is for the venue only… The layout and acoustics are very similar to some of the other amphitheater’s out there. Nothing fantastic and really big. So due to the size it’s not hard to quickly be far away from the stage. Though the sound is still good. The overall appearance is bland… Your cookie cutter absurdly overpriced food and drink(15.00 for a beer???) stands, a decent amount of bathrooms which actually aren’t horrible and a giant and I mean giant Hill you have to navigate if you get lawn seats. So why 2 stars you ask?! Well again $ 15.00 for a beer is redunk. There are other places around the DC area that are expensive but not robbery. And the PARKING… Holy Oh my… This place has been open for for over 20 years and they still can’t get you out of their lot in a reasonable time. Last time I went it took 45 minutes to move and that was because people opened a gate behind me out of desperation to leave… In that same amount of time I could have been home from Merriweather and that’s in another state!!! In closing I come here at best once a year and when I do I’m reminded how much I hate it. I would celebrate it closing because it would force bands to go to other better locations

Don’t do it– worst experience ever getting out of the parking lot and getting there and back to silver spring, MD. Then at Dead and company with always the nicest calm crowd it was like a jail ever time you left your seats to go to the bathroom Sound not great either at the concert

I felt like I was back in Pittsburgh watching DMB at Post-Gazette Pavilion(or whatever they call it these days since the name changes so often) after watching them play at Jiffy Lube Live this past weekend. The setup is exactly the same-you have a big lawn open area that’s first come first serve for your seats with the reserve seating area under the pavilion near the stage. Both charge insane prices for mediocre food and beverages, although I found both to be more mediocre in taste and selection in Pittsburgh than at Jiffy Lube. I was actually surprised by some of the varied food options here-there was a tater tot truck, a BBQ stand(pulled pork and pulled chicken only), and a fresh market option with fruit cups and cheese plates. At this fresh market you could also purchase full bottles of wine and some local craft beer from Flying Dog and Star Hill. You can actually bring outside food into the venue, which wasn’t allowed in Pittsburgh. Getting out of the parking lot here is an absolute nightmare though. We sat in the same spot for nearly 45 minutes without moving a single inch! They really need to have more than one exit point. Other than that, this is basically on par with similar venues of its style and can make for an enjoyable summer evening.

Someone should be jailed for having built that amphitheater there without adequate roads in and out. Was there last night to see Dave Matthews Band. What a mess! Every time I go there I say«never again» afterwards because of the horrific parking and entry and exit situation. The problem is that some acts ONLY seem to play there. Any Prince William County official who doesn’t fix the situation should be driven from office.

Holy hell the parking is utterly terrible. Worse than the insanely overpriced $ 15 beers. Nothing else that great about it either.

I just attended Luke Bryan’s concert here on 6÷10÷16. I thought it was a great place for a concert. It was a beautiful night out and my friends and I had tons of fun and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had lawn seats, and even though we were towards the back, you could hear everything really well and they had two huge projection screens for you to see the concert. My friends and I were standing and dancing the entire time that Luke was on. Yes, it does suck that there is only one road in, but the people working there do their best to keep things moving along. And It does take awhile to leave, but the venue is MASSIVE, so get over it folks. After the concert, take your time, go to the bathrooms(they have actual bathrooms not just porter potties if you go back down the ‘stairway to heaven’) and be prepared to sit in your car until its your turn. My friends and I brought snacks and played some games and the time flew by. We probably had to wait about 45min. Also, yes there is a massive staircase leading up to the venue, but it’s an outdoor venue people! Get over it. I’ve read other reviews where people were bashing the facility because of this. Like seriously? Get over it. Also, if you do need assistance, they do have people riding around on carts that are more than willing to bring you to where you need to go. Another review I read before going was that people were upset by the price of food and drinks… really people, really? You’re at a concert, what do you expect? Yes food and drinks are expensive, but the beers are tall boys so it’s like drinking two, and you are allowed to bring a snack in, in a sealed ziplock container so the people can see what you’re bringing in. Overall, it was my first time at JLL and my friends and I really had a good time. I think it depends on who you go see to make it worth your while but I would recommend coming here again.

Weirdest layout for venue I have ever been to. You have to walk like a day from the parking lot to get to the actual venue. I have been to many concerts and festivals in other cities like Miami and DC for example BUT the pricing for food and alcohol is extremely overpriced here. A 25oz beer is $ 15 dollars, cup of fries $ 7 dollars, a glass of wine is $ 9(a double $ 18). If you are going to have an amphitheater you need to have a sufficient way to cool people. You cant have fans going 1 mile per hour when its 90 plus degrees outside. Don’t get me started on the old big screens on the sides of the stage, it was like watching a PBS show from the 90s. The rows were too long without a split sooo you have to go back like 30 people to get out.

Avoid at all costs. Horrible sound quality, poor and expensive food/drink. The crowd, at least at recent Hall & Oats concert, didn’t seem to notice or care that there was a concert going on. Talking loudly over the music, up and down, walking around, screaming in the middle of a song. Forced to walk completely around the park from parking to entrance. Nothing like Wolftrap, other than there is a lawn and covered options. But you can’t «picnic» on the lawn or bring in alcohol like at Wolftrap. A wasted evening.

Overall, this was a good concert venue. It didn’t seem special or extraordinary or anything. If you’re coming here for a concert, I highly recommend spending the extra money and getting an actual seat relatively closer to the stage in lieu of purchasing a lawn seat. The extra money is worth it! I have to say one of the downsides is the price of concessions. Asking $ 4.50 for a bottle of water is absolutely outrageous. Don’t even get me started on prices of alcoholic beverages. Also, there is a bit of walking both uphill and downhill involved, especially if you are one of the unlucky people that has to park in the farthest parking lot. Ladies– wear comfortable shoes. Being comfortable is much more important than making sure you have the latest and greatest in shoe fashion… I promise. Overall, Jiffy Lube Live was a pretty standard concert venue. No major complaints here, really. The concert I saw there was fantastic though!

Jiffy Lube Live is like similar outdoor venues, when the weather cooperates, you have a much enjoyable experience. Went to the Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire show and the weather could not have been any better. We waiting until 45 min before the show started to leave our hotel and drive the usual 20 min it took to get here, but of course, due to the concert, there was a bit of a jam, but nothing super annoying. The police here are well organized and it was a smooth transition into the parking area and leaving(although ALL traffic has to turn LEFT when exiting the venue). A word of warning ladies… DONOT. l repeat.DONOT wear heels when coming here. The parking area is nothing but gravel and your dogs WILL be barking walking on this rocky mess. The parking opened at 5:30 and the event start time was 7:30. We observed numerous folks sitting around in their lawn chairs, drinking, eating and listening to music, just as you would at an athletic tailgating event. Upon entering, we had seats in row Q, but if you have lawn tickets, be prepared to WALK up an extensive staircase to the top of the hill(another reason for NOT wearing heels ladies). You are allowed to bring in lawn chairs, blankets, coolers(with NON alcoholic beverages), and the like. The seats we had were a bit cramped and there was a slight breeze blowing, they even have fans above the seating area, but not enough to suffice, so we strolled over to the food vendor area, where there was plenty of seating, and enjoyed hearing the remainder of the concert, along with others who probably shared the same idea. We sat in the end row and behind us was the walkway to get to seats. On the other side of that was VIP seating, which included small tables and free standing chairs around them. The price is more, but for the comfort of seating that you paid for to enjoy a show, l will consider purchasing them and let you know what that experience was. The vendors were plentiful, but, being a captured audience, the prices were ridiculous. $ 12.50 for a tall can of beer and $ 14.50 for the larger can? Really? $ 4.50 for a water? Glad l brought my own. Bathrooms were large and clean. The venue served its purpose for us and we will return next season if a show peaks our interest.
