A local hardware store, not the best prices, but I can usually get what I need. They are much better than the other local options.

Second visit, when I actually needed a few things they DO keep in stock. Same great service, same professional shop-​keeping. They even had an ultra-​rare part that most skilled technicians born in either the current or previous centuries may never have seen. (Used in the complicated block, tackle and pulley rigging employed by those trying to pry a smile out of a hipster.)
Lady walks into Kredo Hardware, asks the clerk where the hinges are. He takes her to where they are and she immediately selects the one she needs. The clerk askes her if she wants a screw for the hinge; she says, «No, but I’ll blow you for the toaster on that shelf».
