Been here 7 or 8 times now… and have been impressed every time. By far the best breakfast food around. There can be a wait, but it’s worth it!

The wait was pretty long – maybe an hour although we were quoted 30 min. That said, once we got seated, the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent as well. Definitely try the chorizo!

JJs is a must try. We went in there close to closing time(3 pm) and the place was still packed for breakfast! I got an egg white omelet. My friend got French toast which was really good as well! They had healthy options and create your own

UPDATINGMYREVIEWANDSTILLGIVINGIT5STARS! I know Brockton isn’t a place you imagine to find an amazing breakfast joint that add a gourmet spin to their dishes, but this is the place. Since my last review, Jj’s has added new items to the menu… and I think my personal favorite is the hash bombs. They are the bomb, hahahahaha. Deep fried corn beef heaven with fogo fire hot sauce(Jj’s homemade house sauce) topped with cheddar and sausage gravy. You also have the option of adding an egg, and hell ya I did. I added a nice sunny side up egg, and it looked great. I just wanted to update my review to remind people to stop by sine this place is worth it. The service is amazing too, everyone is so friendly and attentive. They treat everyone like family, and it feels like home. I’m going to be adding a photo of these hash bombs after I sum up this review, so make sure to stop by and give Jj’s a chance.

From the outside looking in you would never imagine what the food and atmosphere was like in JJs. The food was incredible and a great price for the quality and quantity relieved. We had the champions breakfast with crème brûlée French toast, the hash bombs with fried eggs added on top, banana bread French toast, and an egg white omelette with feta, spinach, and sausage. There is no way to choose a favorite, as they were all simply delightful. The I could have drank the homemade hot sauce out of the bottle. Also, the owner JJ came around and talked with each table. Very nice man and you can tell he puts the time and energy into making sure everyone’s experience is the same and amazing. If I lived in the area JJs would defiantly be a place I would go to regularly, but I’m glad we had a chance to go!

The head chef at JJs makes absolutely the best breakfast food to ever cross my pallet. He is also the owner, and very friendly. His experience is immediately apparent watching him work in the open kitchen. This restaurant may legitimately be the only draw the city’s north side has going for it. It is very cozy and the music and ever changing artwork sets a very easy-going atmosphere. To start the coffee, which is blended specially, is my favorite and for sale by the pound. The eggs are always cooked perfect. The veggies are fresh, the omelettes thick and fluffy. Best tasting steak I have ever had for breakfast. The french toast is delicious in any style and the multi-grain pancakes are great. THESEARETHEBESTHOMEFRIESAROUND. Their signature dish, steak with spinach and three poached eggs over grilled french bread called the Hangover Benedict should be experienced and attempted by everybody at least once in their lifetime. You are doing yourself a disservice by skipping over this place. The burgers are also fantastic and juicy for lunch, and they even have house made chips! Thr only bad thing I have to say about this place is sometimes, weekends especially, the wait times can get very, very long, and they do not offer call-ahead or takeout. I’m excited to see if they expand to a bigger space in the future. JJ’s is a gem, the place exudes excellence, and the secret is quickly getting out.

This restaurant has the perfect combination of excellent service, a superb menu, and great atmosphere. I saw the fantastic reviews here on Unilocal and decided to try it out for a Mother’s Day brunch. I made a reservation a few days before and they happily fit is in. I thought they’d just push a few tables together to accommodate our party of 6, but when we arrived they ushered us into a back private room with a beautifully set table, pretty lighting and intriguing art. I was super impressed with the privacy and upscale décor. We ordered the Crème brûlée French toast, eggs Benedict, salmon eggs Benedict, a few make your own omelettes, Mexican breakfast burrito, and home fries. Everything was outstanding! They have this hot sauce they make, bottle, and sell from the diner, and it is out of this world. Cannot say enough about how excellent this place is. Absolutely 100% worth the drive from Boston!

An amazing place for breakfast! The coffee is delicious, the food is creative, and the atmosphere inviting. I have been three times – it’s a bit of a drive, but worth it – and have never been disappointed. There isn’t a better breakfast in Brockton.

Unbelievably delish. Hash bombs are the bomb. Really yummy with an over easy fried egg on top, the runny yolk drips all over everything it’s ridiculously good. And FYI: they have THEBEST coffee on the entire planet. I know they have their own brew made for them but oh my word it is amazing! I tried the crème brûlée french toast, although very tasty it was a bit too sweet for me but my husband devoured it. He loved it! I am going to try the banana bread french toast next time! He got the hangover and annihilated that breakfast, didn’t leave a crumb.

I’ve never been driven to write Unilocal reviews before this place became a part of my life. If you want incredible service by an svelte, sexy waitstaff and the most delicious breakfast and lunch fare you’ve ever had in your life, then come here. I will never go anywhere else for breakfast food again. I just can’t. JJs ruined my ability to enjoy other places. I bring my friends here for hungover brunches and we get hash bombs, which are the most wonderful creations ever. I recommend getting two eggs over easy on top. I bring my picky family here, and they are now regulars too because every single time we come here, JJs is consistent. They even care about plating! Also, this place is great for kids. I bring my little cousins here and we sit at the breakfast bar. They love watching all of the food prep happening right in front of our faces. Also, their homemade hot sauce is the bomb. It’s like the veal of hot sauces. It’s almost like they took all of the hot peppers at their youthful prime and somehow captured their youthful energy inside a bottle.

Food was PHENOMENAL. The upscale food that the chef has a history of making without having to pay for the upscale atmosphere. Crazy friendly staff and owners. Will be back for sure and tell everyone we know that this is a must stop!(Salmon Benedict was to die for!)

Look no further this dinner is amazing. A small dinner with substance. The parking is limited out front. We were lucky and got a spot right out front. There is a counter and a few tables in the dinner. We got a table for two by the door right away. I love when you can see the cooks making your food. It’s like dinner and a show. The place pretty much filled up within the next 30 minutes. There was a line out the door. The only negative was the people standing waiting for a table right by our table watching us eat. The coffee is a house blend and very tasty and hot. The staff kept on refilling we didn’t even have to ask or wait. The breakfast we ordered was absolutely perfect per our request. The potatoes were especially yummy. The eggs Benedict had a light creamy sauce with a hint of mustard. Reasonable prices, great service, fresh tasty food. Definitely will be coming back to this place.

I’m going to start with this: HOLYSMOKES P R O P E R ! My husband and I just moved to Massachusetts from the Pacific Northwest, and we’ve been looking SOHARD to find good food that resembles the kind we’ve been spoiled with in Seattle. My husband found this place on Unilocal and could not believe how great the reviews were. We’ve only gone there once so far, and I could not wait to RAVE about this place! The place is quaint and seating as well as parking is pretty limited, and based on the restaurant’s popularity, you can expect a crowd! Here’s my list of Pros and Cons, but let me preface that despite the cons, the Pros certainly outweighs them! Cons: *Note: Cons not listed as complaint. More for the aspect of being realistic. –Limited Parking –Little Seating –Hard to get some service or attention because of how busy they get(come with patience and have a little grace!) Everyone works hard! –There’s not a good waiting area so when there’s a wait list going, everyone is standing in front of the doorway so it’s hard to get in or when you’re eating you sort of feel the pressure to hurry up and give up your seat. –It can get pretty loud, but hey, it’s a diner! Pros: –FOOD. EVERYTHING. The smoothies, the chorizo, the crème brûlée french toast, the potatoes, and even their home made hot sauce! The hot sauce is SO perfect with your food esp. pairing it with ketchup. We bought a bottle to send to our friends who we KNOW will enjoy it as much as we did back home! –The extra TLC in the cooking. You get quality and quantity on your plate. These chefs definitely care about what they serve! –Even the house coffee was excellent. For coffee snobs from Seattle, it was legit. One sip and we melted ESP. when you get take that sip after a bite of the crème brûlée french toast! –The place was clean! –Family atmosphere. We sat by some regulars and it was really warming to see how the chefs and staff came and spent a little time with the customers as if they were old friends. My husband and I haven’t experienced that sort of hospitality since we’ve been in New England, so being around this sort of atmosphere was nostalgic. –MUSICFROMTHESOUL. great playlist guys! If this isn’t enough to get ya goin, go to McDonalds. Ha!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the area. Everything is made to order, the staff is friendly and attentive, definitely a family run business! I usually get the veggie omelet which comes with homefries. Their coffee is delicious and a step above most places in the area. Pro tip: Get here before 10, it gets super busy on the weekends!

Breakfast here on Sunday was nothing short of amazing. We waited about 25⁄30 minutes but damn it was worth the wait. This *Hangover* consists of sirloin steak, 3 poached eggs with spinach and sliced red peppers and home fries was just delicious. See photo. This is one of the best diners around. Really good quality and generous portions. Second time here and I suspect more in the near future. The staff are very friendly. The place isn’t big so bigger parties could be accommodated but wait would be longer too. The place was very busy and all hands were on deck.

This is a popping local restaurant in Brockton that serves the people of this town and others in neighboring towns as well. Evidently this is a family-run restaurant where everyone seems to know one and another. I’d say on a Sat afternoon, when we went, we waited for about 40 minutes for our table. We immediately got the Hangover Benedict(3 poached eggs over steak) with a side of sausage links and classic french toast. The eggs didn’t leak out and run as they should’ve, probably because they sat for a little bit before being given to us. Otherwise, the dish was good and filling. The french toast was awesome — soft and just sweet enough. I would come back again for some homey breakfast food.

I was in the area for work purposes and decided to come here for lunch with a couple of friends. I had heard about this restaurant several times through friends and television. If you’re in the area, this is definitely a spot to go for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The Ollie Burger was rather large and definitely could fill you up. The attractive combination of cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, and a fried egg gives this burger a nice comforting feel to it. The burger itself was flavorful, while the chipotle barbeque sauce was enough and didn’t overwhelm the flavors. The bun was soft, yet it had a nicely toasted exterior and held up quite well during eating. The only drawback to the burger was that the fried egg was somewhat overcooked. The fries were passable but nothing outstanding. Service was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean. The servers were rather considerate and will start a conversation if you want it. JJ’s does have a bit of a greasy spoon feel/aroma to it but not to the point where you want to douse yourself in Fabreeze. Definitely intrigued by other offerings…

Still in the parking lot and I had to review this place. Very quaint and homey vibe where the chef comes and introduces himself which is a major plus. They literally cook everything in front of you so you know it’s fresh. The service started a little rough but eventually they would come check on us. The hot chocolate is really great and comes in a cute cup but is not free refills so don’t get carried away. The home fries are ah-mah-zingg! With large pieces if perfectly cooked potatoes and just the right amount of mini veggies mixed in these are my favorite home fries to date. The duchess eggs Benedict is good but I would ask for less veggies more meat. Mine was about 90% veggie but after speaking to the staff the chef made me more seafood so that was nice, but for $ 12 it wasn’t bad. My boyfriend got the banana nut French toast and that is very creative and a great breakfast for sweet lovers. Overall, this place is good and if I find myself in Brockton again I wouldn’t object going back.
