Flinagans Bar & Grill

Flinagans is no longer in operation. It is under new ownership and is now called Bridges Bar and Grill. Great place.

I worked here back in the late 70’s when it was Flynn’s bar. Back then it was THE place to go for Friday night fish and Saturday night prime rib. Pretty much everything was good. It has gone through several owners in the past 30 something years and it appears the food is not the priority anymore!
About a month ago I stopped by and ate here. Service was pathetic and food was mediocre at best. It took about 45 minutes to get a burger and fries. But, I wanted to try again before I wrote a review. So…
Recently, my wife and I took some friends that wanted to get some WI cheese here for lunch after our cheese purchase. Everyone had a burger with either tots or fries as that was the daily special. The tots tasted like the Ore-Ida’s you get from the local grocery store, but that wasn’t surprising. Fries were similar. The burgers though, wow. They seemed like pre-​pattied frozen squares pseudo-​burger. On top of that, everyone’s burgers were burnt to some degree with mine and my wife’s being the most burnt. Between that and the low quality burger, it just was sad.
The positive side of this was the bartender who was also our server. She was great — funny and came around to check on us enough without being annoying.
As much as I hate to say it, it’s time to look for another place to eat whenever I’m back in Brodhead.
