There aren’t very many noteworthy restaurants where I live but I am so grateful that New York Gyro is close to me. I have taken my sons and my friends here. There are people on a community FB group page that always chat about this place. The food is amazing, the service wonderful and prices are fair. My favorite is the gyro platter. The portions are huge and the greek salad is wonderful! I cant say enough good things about this restaurant. I hope to visit again this weekend. :)

My husband and I had lunch there a few times. Each time we try something different. The last time we had grape leaves and the gyro salad. If I knew how good the grape leaves were before I ordered the gyro, I would have just ordered two portions of the grape leaves, they were so good. I can’t say enough about the food and it is not limited to Greek food, they have hamburgers, pasta, etc. the food is plentiful and fresh. To add to the experience was the friendly service. We plan to go back again and again.

Got the gyro plater and a burger. Split it with the guy.
Gyro good (not the best I’ve had but good)
Greek Salad on the side fresh and I liked the olive oil they use for the dressing.
Got some potatoes wedges with tomato juice or something that was gooooood.
Burger meat is thin but tasty. French fries awesome and crunchy.
Being from new York I can say it’s good for this area.
Nice new addition to this town in pa.

One of the best gyro’s I have tasted since moving out of NYC. Meat itself seasoned very well. Only 1 complaint the tzatziki sauce was on the sour note when eaten alone but paired with the saltiness of the meat paired very well. Baklava was good very sweet I think it was sitting in a simple syrup to prevent drying out the bottom which made it even more sweet. Over all was very pleasant place with very tasty meat

This was an excellent little find. I had the spinach pie and it was to die for. I have to agree with the other reviewer… my husband had the burger and said it was 100% better than the diner up the street. Definitely a must try if you haven’t already. B

We came back for dinner tonight and left satisfied and full! The place has better burgers than the diner down the street so this will continue to be our go to place for a quick dinner.
Tonight I had the cheeseburger deluxe and he again had the Gyro platter. The platter is priced at $ 10.99 and worth every penny! The burger was under 8 and certainly a fair price for the quality.
Finally something other then pizza and Chinese in the West End that’s worth a visit.

Our first time at New York Gyro and it was pretty darn good! We got wings and two Gyro platters. The wings were «eh», but then again I wasn’t expecting too much either. Down to the good stuff; the Gyro platter was HUGE! It had lots of meat, a great Greek salad, rice and came with grilled pita. The platters were delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try the Souvlaki!!!

We stopped in to try the new place and found it simply amazing. The family is warm and inviting. The food was out of this world and a lot of it.. Very affordable. We have found our new favorite spot!

I’m just happy they finally put a Greek place in the Brodheadsville area. Gyros are yummy. Platters are huge and prices are good. Greek salad ain’t too shabby either. Can’t say it’s the best Greek cuisine I’ve ever eaten but sure is filling, affordable and decently tasty.
