I waited a week to really write about this spot as it left me confused. I think I picked a strange day to visit, as it was Mother’s Day and the place was having a somewhat exclusive brunch. I’d made reservations online, but they’d been lost. Not a problem. Taken care of. Brought to a table. Nobody comes to the table for some time, and, seeing as it’s a buffet, we asked a busboy who was walking by if we could just start dining. The answer was yes, so my mother left her pills and a notebook on the table and we were off and running(more on this later). The spread of food was AMAZING. So many great and flavorful dishes. Based purely on the food, this would be five stars. I must have had three hearty slices of meatloaf which was among the best I’ve ever had… and I love me some meatloaf. There was also an omelette station and a salad bar which I decided to forgo. The chicken and waffle chunks were pleasant and perfectly flavored. I was suprised to see deliciously rare roast beef(which could be further cooked upon request) available at a carving station. There were bountiful amounts of bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and a few other standard breakfast expectations. The salmon was also a nice touch. While I also love ham, I was suprised(both in a good way and in a bad) at how spicy the sweet sauce on it was. I believe the cherries must have marinated in jalepeno sauce… which led to one of the more interesting sweet n’ spicy mixes I’ve had in a while. So, back to the table. Notebook and pills are gone. I guess somebody cleaned the table off unexpectedly. Really, though, it wasn’t a great loss and we sat down to dig in. Wait. No silverware. So, we get some. A waiter shows up– very professional and really tried to make the few things that were amiss right. Drink orders placed. Random drinks brought to table. Correct drinks eventually came. Neighboring table got up to refill their plates and their(alcoholic) not-so-empty beverages were cleared from the table. This was also solved. Management was kind and friendly, but the place was frantic, with servers seeming a little stressed out and gossipy. The layout of the overall buffet was also poorly conceived, as many people were running into one another and somewhat aimless. It made for an interesting way for people to interact and was once more perfectly handled by management. I can’t deny that the overall aura of Claret is 5 stars and that the food certainly is. There were more problems than I’ve ever encountered in one trip to a restaurant, but all of them were quickly and appropriately handled(well, mostly). I also have to say that I really liked the people working there and thought it was kind and professional. I’ll have to head back soon– on a normal day– and hopefully upgrade and update this review.

We had our Mother’s Day lunch at the Claret. It was set up as a buffet style and it was wonderful! A very wide variety of food that was all delicious. The manager, Art, came over to check on more than once and our waiter was very attentive as well. We had a very good experience.

My husband and I had a very pleasing dinner last weekend. The food was all very flavorful and well seasoned and cooked to the proper degree. I had salmon and asparagus and my husband had the lobster mac and cheese. It was the most lobster he’s had on the same dish at many other area restaurants… lots of lobster and shrimp. Our service was good and the waiter was very attentive. He did neglect to tell us about the specials, though, and must not have known they actually do carry domestic beer. We will be returning soon and often and we hope the new restaurant continues to do well.

This place is huge and the interior atmosphere is similar to Charleston’s. Went for brunch, they had the standard brunch fair with a southern styled twist. The place was surprisingly not all crowded. I ordered the chick friend steak, which was a good portion without being obscene. Eggs were cooked to order perfectly. But in general nothing spectacular, although I did enjoy the homemade hot sauces. A bit on the pricey side, but I’d be willing to go back again for brunch or even dinner.

This is probably our fifth time coming here. The service has always been friendly, though sometimes a bit slow, but we have never been in a hurry while here so it wasn’t that big of a heal. Our last time here was back in February. The menu has changed since then. They have added some yummy sounding items. Today we tried the prime rib and the breakfast bowl. The bowl is a given good pick. You can’t really go wrong with eggs(over easy for me), breakfast meats, and potatoes. The prime rib was good. I’m not a huge prime rib fan(except when my hubby smokes it). The potatoes and asparagus where good sides. Previously we’ve tried the meatloaf, chicken fry, pancakes, crab Benedict, and some other items. All have been good. The pancake was SOGOOD… and I don’t see it on the menu anymore. This makes my tastebuds sad. However, the other additions look sound super yummy and I’m excited to try them. I love local places and I would encourage you to visit the Claret Café for a change that had a good atmosphere and good food.

Within an hour of posting the previous review(the morning after our dinner at Claret) I was surprised to get a call from someone at the restaurant about the review. This wasn’t the first time I heard back after a review, but it was the first time I’d ever been called. I was impressed by the initiative and desire to address the concerns, and I really appreciated the way the caller/manager/owner(?) responded. I felt heard and am confident that the points raised are being addressed. Our first experience may have had mixed results but I look forward to returning for another visit. It won’t surprise me if this turns into a four star review.

We tried Claret for first time for brunch. We were greeted with a friendly face and promptly seated. The atmosphere was nice, a little more upscale than Mimi’s. The menu was simple with ample choices, not overwhelming. The waitress was great and made helpful recommendations. My husband ordered a patty melt and said it was cooked to medium and he felt was an «excellent patty melt». I have Celiac Disease and must eat gluten free. They had a simple gluten free menu and said the staff had been trained on the correct process of food preparation maintaining gluten free standards. The entrée I chose was a mixed breakfast type bowl with an over easy egg, small bites of bacon, sausage, ham and potatoes. It was good but not quite what I had hoped. The coffee was very good. The prices seemed reasonable and the portions were ample. The waitress offered me a complimentary desert which I appreciated. It was GF almond strawberry bar. I had a lengthy discussion with Ryan the manager and he voiced how interested he is in making Claret a place where folks with food allergies can relax, enjoy a delicious meal and not later become ill due to food contamination with an ingredient that causes bodily distress. Thank you, we are grateful for a made from scratch restaurant where I can eat GF.

I wanted to love this place. We enjoy their related restaurants so much, especially Tiamo’s. I also liked the idea of «breakfast all day» and was excited to try the crab cakes. I compromised and ordered crab cake Benedict. The crab cakes were nearly inedible, very flat, heavy, undercooked and BREADY! The poached eggs were runny(partially clear«whites») and one was broken then drenched with hollandaise sauce as a disguise. My husband had Cajun chicken pasta, hated it even though he loves a dish of the same name at Tiamo’s. I wish them success, I really do. But unless they change it to Tiamo’s we won’t be back.

Had a fantastic first experience at Claret! Our waiter, Kyle, was fantastic and very helpful. I ordered the fried tomato BLT with green beans and my fiancé had the chicken tenders and fries. My sandwich was Delicious and the green beans were a 10. And I’m pretty judgemental with green beans haha. The chicken tenders and fries were good but not super unique. We also ordered the shrimp appetizer and it was yummy and spicy but a little small for the price. Overall, great experience and we will be back and request Kyle.

I really liked this restaurant. We(hubby and I) got crabcakes as an appetizer. They weren’t that good. The wine was a Central Coast red. Superb! Hubby got Shrimp Scampi as an entrée and he loved it. So did I. I got Schnitzel. Fabulous. The manager, Karyle, checked on us twice. I told her about the crabcake appetizer’s lack luster taste and she took that off our check. Mike H. was our server. Super attentive and good. I can’t wait to try brunch.

Was totally ready to love this place but our weekday breakfast experience turned out to be a mixed bag. Winners: pleasant interior, excellent staff, hubbie said the eggs benedict were very tasty. Not winners: a breakfast menu so comprehensive and yet no waffles, no pancakes and no French toast???, empty bakery case up front makes the place appear shut down, coffee maker was out of commission(to remedy, we were offered espresso drinks at no additional charge).

Came for brunch. Bloody Mary was a pleasant surprise. Eggs Benedict was fantastic and worth the trip. The breakfast bowl was also very tasty. We will be back.

I had the best filet eggs Benedict of my life here! But now it’s off the menu!!! Please bring it back! The ambiance is great and I love the use of Brie in many of the dishes. Service has been good the three times we have been in. I also enjoyed the island heat and the bites I stole of my son’s pancake were delicious as well.

Not impressed! Had lunch here today. Food greasy & service was extremely slow. Won’t be returning. Save your $$ and go somewhere else!

This was our first time at claret café. The restaurant is incredibly clean and the atmosphere is fun. There was a band playing out on the patio and there’s a cool fire pit. The manager and staff are very helpful. Our drinks never got close to empty and we were asked several times if our food tasted good and if there was anything else we needed. Overall our experience was great.

My husband & I tried this place out for the first time this morning for brunch. I had the Green Giant smoothie($ 7) & cheeseburger($ 11) & he had the fresh squeezed OJ($ 3.75) &Tenderloin Benedict($ 14). Quick seating, clean atmosphere, great server. Only disappointment was actual food– presentation looked pretty great, but both the burger & filet were bland, left much to be desired in regards to flavor. His filet wasn’t cooked long enough either. The hollandasise English muffins & potatoes for his entrée were flavorful. My burger came w toppings & a side of shoestring style fries, which were okay. The smoothie was pretty good but in hindsight not worth $ 7. The OJ was delicious & true to description. I’ll come back probably, but it would be to the give the place a second chance w different entrees ordered.

First time! We had the crab Benedict and carrot cake waffle. Friendly greeting and quick outside seating. They were nice enough to allow our fur baby to sit with us on the patio. Already winning our vote. Carrot cake waffle: finally a waffle that doesn’t have the flavor piled on top, but mixed into the batter was a delightful twist on carrot cake meeting a waffle. They brought 3 toppings out. At first you wonder why you only get one but by the time you are finished your tummy will thank you for not trying to pack in two. Crab cake eggs Benedict: I try eggs Benedict at every new restaurant for the shear fact that every chef gets creative. I’ve never had t with crab cakes. Loved it! A nice little side of fruit paired with a generous amount of hash brown potatoes. I was most impressed as everything tasted fresh, not frozen. And the eggs tasted properly poached(seared in water) vs. most places that microwave them. Could have done without the asparagus. It wasn’t 100% cooked and some parts were very tough to bite through. And I’m just not a big fan. We will definitely be coming back to try something new and hopefully you will exceed our expectation! Couldn’t give 5 stars because it wasn’t «mind blowing» food. But you did get my husband to say he would come back-which is a big deal.

First time here for Friday night dinner. Prices are right in line with other sit down restaurants here in Broken Arrow. I had the Friday special, fish and chips. You get 3 pieces of cod with fries. This was pretty good for $ 9. My wife had the burger, same price. It looked like a pre-made patty not much flavor here. The salads that I saw looked good and well portioned. Service was a little slow but hey this place is new. We ate early, about 5 pm and it wasn’t crowded. When we left the place was full, but no waiting… yet. The décor is pretty much the same as the last two restaurants that occupied this spot. I would recommend you try this place, I’ll give them another try.
