I had the savanna chopped salad and a cup of the squash soup. It was very tasty and fresh. The salad I had wonderful sweet cranberries and roasted chicken. Autumn squash soup had a hint of nutmeg or cinnamon with caramelized nuts. The waitstaff was friendly and the place is clean.

Today we went to this location for lunch, ordering two half muffulettas. What was delivered to us was one half that had most of the contents in it and a second that had less than half the contents of the other. The difference between the two was striking. Upon bringing this to the attention of a manager, the remedy was to put some cheese on the pitiful one and send it back out. I never have been impressed with this location, and this has sealed the deal… I will NEVER set foot in this Mcallisters location again! I must now add that Mcallisters’ regional management has responded to this negative review. I provided additional detail of the incident. I received a promise that it would be looked into and an offer for a free meal. I felt this positive response should be passed on to Unilocal readers

So I dunno about Deli… but defiantly one of the best sandwich shops I have ever been to. I have tired many of their sandwiches and all of them have been better than I originally thought they would be. My biggest issue is there isn’t one in Overland Park!

This place is great. No matter how busy they are they’ll greet you with pleasant voice. Their iced-tea is the best I’ve ever had. The bread is always fresh and the veggies are crisp. The only thing that would make my visit perfect would-ve been an ice cold beer

Thoroughly frustrated with this sandwich diner. I think my biggest dining pet peeve in the 21st century is offering those who visit your establishment unequal experiences. I’m especially annoyed when I feel discrimination due to age– and that’s exactly what I felt here. Long story short: a minor delay in service resulted in those ahead of us, alongside us and behind us getting something and we didn’t. Before you say to yourself«that sounds entitled” — let me clarify. I didn’t feel owed anything. It’s just the idea that the older customers were somehow more important to please. All of this would be forgotten had the food knocked it out of the park… Sadly, it was forgettable cafeteria food. The sandwiches were bland one-note concoctions. The sides were… Potato salad: good– one of the better sides. Macaroni: highly applauded… Highly overrated. Mashed potatoes: «they’re good» he says Businesses– listen up. I don’t know why you favor older generations as of late. My money spends just the same. And it’ll spend for a lot longer. Just not here.

This McAlister’s has great customer service. My hubby, Bill, is a bit of a picky eater. He only likes grilled chicken wraps! Well, he might like a few things more than that, but that is definitely one of his all-time standards. So, today, we went to McAlisters. He didn’t see anything on the menu he wanted. The only chicken wrap they had was a chicken caesar. So, I asked if they could leave off the caesar, add tomatoes and lettuce and cheese, and they did! My hubby was SO happy! I had the ½ Pot Roast baked potato and a cup of tomato bisque soup. Both were delicious, but the soup only cost me 100 calories! Awesome! I won’t say how much the potato cost in calories, but it was worth it! Excellent! And the cookies! Oh my are they good. Not dietetic. :(BUTYUMMY! Great restaurant. Great service. Delicious food. I will definitely go again.

I have been a long time fan of McAlister’s since my college days. Their ice tea is AMAZING! and their food is consistently decent here. My main complaints are the amount of food you get for the price. For 2 teas and 2 entrees you’re looking at $ 20 or more, and the portions are not too big, so you feel a little cheated. Okay, so all that being said, you have to try the tortilla soup! This place does a good job on the soup, but be warned it may be spicy. If you’re sensitive to spicy, don’t order it, but if you want a tasty soup to warm you up, go for it! Sandwich-wise, I really like their new«orange cranberry club» sandwich. Basically it’s a club sandwich, cut 4 ways and they use a sweet and delicious orange cranberry spread instead of mayo or mustard. Their iced tea is a must when you eat here. I like to order mine half and half, so it’s half sweet and half unsweet tea. It’s a nice balance, and you can really taste the richly brewed flavors of the tea.

I can’t agree with any of the positive reviews except about the tea. I’ve given Mcalister’s 3 tries, you know… like 3 strikes and you’re out… Anyways, I was disappointed with everything except the tea. that is good tea.

Fast! Good food reasonable. Very busy at lunch. I like their salads. Service is by committee and they will wear you out stopping by the table. This place could use a deep cleaning but they probably just don’t have time its that busy. They do clear and wipe off tables!

When someone mentions sweet tea, I now crave McCalister’s sweet tea. I might just have to say… it is the best sweet tea I’ve ever had! I frequent here for mainly that reason alone. Although every time I have eaten here it has been delicious! You can’t go wrong with their classic club sandwich, that is probably my favorite food item. However, the chicken noodle soup is pretty tasty! Oh, and good luck not being tempted by the cookies at the counter as big a your face! I have tried the chocolate chip, peanut butter, and the white chocolate macadamia nut(my fave).

A great place for a casual lunch or dinner. I have sampled quite a bit off of their menu. All of it was good. Today I had the McAlister’s Club today. The kids loved the cheese pizza.

Delicious sandwiches are a rarity. And by that measuring stick, McAlister’s is simply a yard past everybody. However, I left here still feeling hungry, which I don’t like to do after dropping 15 or 20 bucks on lunch. It’s a shame because the New Yorker was awesome. Even if a little dry. But that let me experience the flavor of the pastrami and corned beef. So I can’t complain on that end. And their sweet tea is outstanding. Simply put, I needed to feel satisfied, and while my taste buds were, my stomach wasn’t.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch expecting great things… eh, they’ve been better. First glance, menu has changed alot. Didn’t see as many sandwich selections and the desserts… GONE! WHY? bad, bad, bad. So after some tears, anger, and healing, we settled in to order. I got a staple I love from here, the Reuben. With it came potato salad, a pickle and their famous sweet tea. Tea always great, potato salad delicious, and the Reuben… a little soggy(not on the sauerkraut side), and bland in flavor. I had to ask for more dressing. My wife had a half n half. Half chicken salad, half panini. Panini great, chicken salad tasted at least to me.packaged. One so so trip is not going to ruin this for us. We’ll be back, the sweet tea always brings you back…

Love love love this place! They have all types of different American style food here. They have huge loaded potatoes and huge sweet ice teas. I love getting theiced teas when I go to the midwest. They also have really good vegetarian chili for the non meat eaters. Their portions are huge and you won’t leave feeling hungry.
