Let me just say that I am very disappointed in this place, their commercials on the radio says that they take gentle used cloths. When you go in there that’s not the case at all. I have brought some nice barely worn Hollister cloths in there and they have always rejected them for silly reasons such as «that style isn’t in anymore» Well tonight I went in and gave it another shot and this time it was«we have to many of this size» I feel this place is a joke.

I understand the point of these stores is to give you a small amount of money and sell the clothing again for a larger amount of money in order to make a profit. But when I take a $ 30 leather jacket, four $ 11 dresses and a $ 44 peacoat,(all except one of these items had a tag on it) and they only offer me $ 8.85… that’s a problem.

I’m reviewing this store compared to the one I used to go to in south Louisiana and I am completely floored with the organization and neatness of this place. Clothes are going to be cramped and you will need to dig for awhile but it comes with consignment territory! They even have bins against the wall that they’ll put your name on for you to hold clothes if you can’t carry them around store. The girls also offered us advice on local attractions whenever we checked out and discovered we’re not locals. Go check it out :-)

I took some items there about a year or 2 ago and had the worst experience. I asked them if they took sunglasses and they told me no. When I returned to take back the things they did not want they handed me the bag I brought it in and the money. I then went right next door to Salvation Army to drop off the rest of the clothes. The sunglasses I had were Designer and I couldn’t find them anywhere. I thought I could give them to a friend instead of giving away $ 150 pair of sunglasses. I went back to Plato’s to see if they took them… and they did. I asked them how much they gave me for them(they never bothered to show me the items they took) they told me $ 3. I asked them for the sunglasses back because I never agreed to them taking them especially since they said they don’t take sunglasses(apparently someone there knew the value of them). The OWNER of the business told me she could not give them back unless I wanted to pay for the price they put on them. Let me remind you that not even an hour had passed since I had left there. I am not someone who makes a scene or likes confrontation but I was so mad that she even for a minute thought this was a good way to do business. Needless to say she eventually did give me the sunglasses back and I gave her back the $ 3. Just beware if you take your things there. There are many other consignment stores in Tulsa that will give you more and not be so deceitful.
