I had my hair cut and layered here about 8 months ago and had a good experience. That’s why this review gets 2 stars – because it’s about to get a lot more negative below due to my experience last night. I went in about 5:10 last night and signed in. There was no one waiting ahead of me, and the two ladies cutting were both about done with their current clients. So I should have been seated within 10 – 15 minutes. A mother and daughter came in about 5 minutes after me, signed in, and sat down. After the first lady was done cutting her client, she called the mother/daughter after me. I thought it was odd, but I assumed they had made an appointment(I had not), and so I would need to wait until after. I’m fine with that and understand it, so I said nothing. A gentleman came in about 10 minutes later, signed in, sat down. The other lady finished cutting her client and then called the gentleman who had just signed in. We looked at each other and he said, «Are you waiting for someone? You were here before me.» I asked him if he had an appointment, which he confirmed he did not, so I asked the lady if I had been skipped. Yep, sure enough. Twice. By this time, I had been waiting for about 35 minutes, but no big deal. Accidents happen. So I sit down and tell her that I want about an inch taken off the ends(to get rid of dead ends) and then layers put in. I held my hand to my ear and said I wanted the layers to start there, «pretty high up.» She starts cutting, taking half an inch to an inch off the ends. After about 20 minutes, she says, «Ok you’re done.» I said, «My layers?» She said, «They’re there.» I picked up the top layer and held it out; it was below my shoulders – certainly not ear-length like I had requested. She said, «Oh ok, well, we can make it shorter.» I confirmed that and showed her again – with my hand at my ear – where I wanted the layers to start(and felt like a villain in the process). About 10 minutes later, she says she’s done again. She puts her hand at the nape of my neck and says that’s where they start. GIRL. I SAIDANDSHOWEDYOUEAR-LENGTH. TWICE. By that time, I had been there for over an hour and had somewhere to be. Plus, there were three people waiting. I just said it was fine. I was irritated, but I still gave her an 18% tip, although she most certainly did not deserve it. I didn’t think to ask for her name, which would be helpful in this review. She was probably mid-20s, African American, straight long hair, and a labret piercing. It’s not that she did a bad job at cutting my hair; it doesn’t look bad. She simply wasn’t able to follow my(very simple) instructions that were given to her twice. As I mentioned at the beginning of my review, I have had a good experience before. I simply would not allow the lady from last night to ever cut my hair again.

I was in a tizzy this morning because I needed a haircut. Also, my grey hair is peeking through so I needed a color. I have Always colored my own hair, but now that it’s grey, it’s becoming a problem. Last time I did it, it came out too red. So, I decided to take a chance at Supercuts. I was just going to get a cut, then come home and try coloring again. I got in immediately and received Courtney as my stylist. She did such an amazing job on my cut, that I decided to have her give me some recommendations for color. She suggested we do a highlighting on the top to blend in the gray and blonde. So that’s what we are doing. Waiting now. In the meantime, I will say this about Courtney. She is efficient. Not a Chatty Cathy which I like. She’s fast and extremely precise. I am more than satisfied with my cut and her service. Now we’ll see how well she colors! All done. I like it! It lifted out a lot of the red that I put in and will be easy to grow out. I am 100% pleased with her work. I will go back and have her do additional work as the grey grows out.
