Sleepy Hollow Cabins

My son had been deployed he came back to states and wanted to get away rented a cabin for 2 nights 179.00 not bad, they met Bryan paid him and he said he had a basketball game to go to, clean towels were in dryer he would bring them later and he was going to be working on fence about 10 the next morning. My son got back to cabin about 9pm the bathroom was filthy the sheets on the bed were disgusting we tried to call but voice mail was full, sent pictures by text told him they left and got another place would like a refund he finally sent a text at 2:55 pm the 28^th said he was in Dallas would give to night free no we want our money back. He said the sheets were mismatched because the others were still in washer we were not complaining about mismatched sheets they were filthy looked like a dog had been in bathtub, We will never go back to this place and I will post and tell everybody about this so either he starts cleaning his cabins or loses business.

Cabins were a fair deal; decent size with two full size beds. We had the place (has 7 – 8 cabins) to ourselves on a Tuesday night so it was quiet. Room was not that clean; guys run the place and you can tell because lots of dirt and dust in corners of counters and room. Beds were basic; no frill, average comfort, a little lumpy, but sheets and bedding were clean (I wasn’t grossed out and was able to sleep under the sheets). So, overall a good deal at $ 79 a night.
We also rented a wave runner from this guy and got totally screwed. We should have known it was not a good deal when he told us, «I only have one running right now» And that we had to «pay cash» for the rental. We got the SeaDoo for the whole day for $ 215 (which included a full tank of gas)…which was about 5 hours of use.
This would have been a great deal IF the SeaDoo had WORKED. My husband got about 15 mins of fun before it took on water and stopped working. We tried to get it running again but couldn’t, so then had to wait 30 mins for the owner to come to the lake to «work on it». He got it running again, but it only lasted about 20 minutes before it died again. We spent apx. 2.5 hours at the lake and got to spend maybe 30 minutes on the SeaDoo. We spent over $ 200 for a half hour of use. When we returned the SeaDoo and asked about a partial refund we were given a lame answer and were not given anything. Bad, bad business. We feel that we were scammed. They rented us a SeaDoo that didn’t work and then would not give a refund. DO NOT rent a SeaDoo from this guy. Go to the marina at the lake where the equipment works and the business is honorable. I wouldn’t rent a cabin from them either because of our negative experience with the SeaDoo.
