The breakfast and service was very good! The owner spoke to us for quite awhile and seems to be working hard to realize his dream!

Walked in about 30 minutes before closing and the staff seemed genuinely happy to have us come in. Our server was one of the daughters of the owner. Her enthusiasm was genuine and she worked very hard to make sure all our needs were taken care of. The food came out relatively quick. My burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The meat was delicious, it was cooked perfectly, very juicy. I would make a trip to southern Oklahoma from Kansas City just to eat here again.

I wish I could leave 0 stars!!! Worst service ever!!! We sat for 45mins before we ever got a drink! We had a group of 6 people. A group of 9 people walked in AFTER us they got their food BEFORE we ever got our drinks! When we asked the manager how long it was going to be he was EXTREMELY rude and when we said the table of 9 already ate and left and we were here before them his answer was«SO»! It was ridiculous how horrible we were treated. The waitresses were dumping the drinks over the rail right next to the patio, which would explain the ants all over the patio. As a restaurant that is near such a tourist area you would think that they would be a little more courteous toward their customers. We expected great food and service due to all the 5 star reviews we saw on here but don’t be tricked into coming here by those. Since posting this review on the Whip’s Diner Facebook page the owner/manager has now told me how impatient I was for waiting for 45mins for drinks and after being there for an hour and 45 minutes without food. I guess it’s normal for his patrons to wait that long for food and drink!

Great family run diner in Hochatown. Good spot for breakfast or lunch, and prices are very reasonable. Owner is extremely friendly and very accommodating with larger groups. Give them a try next time you are up at Beavers Bend, you won’t be disappointed.

Best bacon cheeseburgers I’ve had. And the pancakes are to die for!!! Love that a whole family pitches in and runs it. What a cute place and super friendly. I am in love!!! Holy Smokes the burgers!

We went up this past weekend to try this place out. We were in the mood for a new diner experience, wow!!! The burgers that we had were truly«the best on the mountain» like their T-Shirts say. Actually best burger anywhere that I’ve ever had. The flavor of the meat was unbelievable, and the bacon on mine was crazy, it was crisp like I like but then it melted in my mouth. Amazing. The cheesecake we had for dessert was, once again, the best I’ve ever had, and I am not normally a cheesecake fan, this was light and tasty, and not tangy and dense like lots of cheesecakes are. You can tell it’s a family run diner, and feel the closeness of the family running Whip’s. If we lived closer we’d be there all the time. Great great great! Can’t say enough good things about this place!!!

My kids and I went this morning to this fantastic recently reopened diner for breakfast. The menu is simple but perfect. You can feel the pride of the family that is operating this little gem. I highly recommend dropping by for a great breakfast(served anytime) and I look forward to returning for their cheeseburgers which they brag about. Behind the diner is an attached deck with views into the woods that would be perfect for a nice lunch after fishing, hiking, or a day on the golf course.
