It was a good steak, not the best or a fantastic steak. just a steak with good flavor. Had to wait a very long time to receive the food after ordering it. Really nothing special about the food we got. The house salad we one slice of cucumber, a quarter wedge of tomato na sliver of red onion, with some lettuce leaves. The rolls seem like they were pulled out of a bag and thrown on a plait. Don’t know if it was worth the money we spent our the time we invested in to going. For me it was a let down.

My dad wanted to go to Bill’s for his birthday. When I saw there was a 45+ minute wait for a table, I was hopeful that the locals were onto something, but our meal at Bill’s was mostly forgettable. The service wasn’t great, probably because the place is understaffed. Our poor server seemed to be running from table to table. I wanted to order a beer, but when I asked our server what she had available, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, «Bud Light and some other stuff». I had to walk over to the bar to order my drink. Bill’s menu boasts that the steaks are their specialty, but almost everyone in our party who ordered steaks was disappointed. I tasted a piece of my sister’s sirloin and it was like eating an overdone piece of shoe leather. Granted, sirloin is not a primo cut, but I’ve had better. Prime rib should be decadently melt-in-your-mouth, but my mother’s was gristly and chewy. If you must order steaks, I’d go for their best cuts — my dad said his filet mignon was tender and done right. On the plus side, Bill’s got the walleye right. I ordered it deep fried, and it was firm with a crispy breading. The side salad featured crispy vegetables, ripe tomatoes and a tangy homemade blue cheese dressing. I sprang for the baked sweet potato(small upcharge), which was enjoyable despite being served with«whipped spread» that was packaged to look like butter.

The food is not very good. My steak was cooked incorrectly and it took the waitress 10 minutes to come check on how the food was and they weren’t even that busy. They took the steak back and pushed all the juice out and brought it back burnt on one side. It took the waitress another ten minutes to come back and check on me. She never apologized and the manager never came to apologize. The lady never gave me or three other people at my table a refill. Needless to say I will NOT be back!

Again a hit or miss place. I either love it or hate it. Have had great food and service and have had terrible food and service. Last visit a month ago terrible on both. Will wait awhile before I return

Set your clock back at least a decade. The wood paneling and simple furniture hide a secret. Texas size portions of food and frog legs that put most Chinese buffets to shame. My hunch is most leave with a doggy bag. We arrived at 5 pm and got seated right away. But the large waiting room with parallel benches tells me there is often a wait. If you’re a meat & potatoes person, this is definitely the place for you. A table just across from us was surprise when his meal arrived. He said«that’s a big fucking steak». That’s crude language, but I think he captured the experience.

Went early to avoid a wait, great dinner. New York Strip had great flavor, I had a Perch & Shrimp Combo plate that was piled high & very good. Would definitely go again.

Ate here two days in a row while I was in Coldwater on business. This place was recommended by the Hampton Inn desk clerk. The first night I had the seared tuna which was excellent. Others in my group all had steaks, from the prime rib to the t-bone, all were amazed at the quality and price. The second day me and one other person stopped on our way out of town and each had 3 ½ pounds of crab legs each. They were on special for $ 32. What an amazing price. They were good legs, not the skinny ones. These were full clusters and very good sized. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food at good prices.

We all had the 24 oz Porterhouse as it was on special for the night. 2 were medium and one was medium well. The mediums came out perfect but the medium well was a bit over cooked with no pink. All had good seasoning on the meat this visit, our last visit had little flavor. Our dinner came with 3 dinner rolls total and 2 sides each. We all had a salad with a baked potato and a Coke for a drink totaling our 3 meals to 75 $.
