I am an employee of AHS Caring Communities in Astoria, NY. This place deserves 5 stars all the way. The facility is beautiful, clean, and easily accessible. My fellow coworkers are engaging and truly care about the well being of all the participants. The participants love all the programs offered here during the week such as arts and crafts, Zumba, and the computer lab. This week our goal is to help the participants make email and social media accounts. AHS Astoria also offers physically frail programs, memory loss programs, and mental health programs. There is an open house every other Thursday 10 am– 12 pm, Stop in and check us out!

This place isn’t a retirement home. It’s an adult day center, a place for people to go to for socializing, improving cognitive and physical mobility. My grandmother loves this place, especially when they play Wii Bowling (shes probably better than me!) and the cooking class’ those are her favorite! Would recommend it to someone who lives with or has a senior with them and wants to get them out of the house for a few hours to socialize !
