My grandmother recently passed away so since Ann Art was in the neighborhood we decided to utilize them for flowers. We didn’t want anything too fancy, just a simple arrangement to place on top of the coffin.
The storefront is kind of a mess, I know it’s a florist but a little more care can be taken to making it look more presentable. We told Ronnie what we wanted and he gave us a book to look through with different arrangements and prices. We picked what we wanted, gave the name of the funeral home to him and he took care of the rest. The whole process was very seamless.
The arrangement came out lovely — we chose a red rose and white carnation arrangement and there was baby’s breath placed in between; it looked great.

I called this florist because it was close to the funeral home where I needed to send flowers. I found their website, picked an arrangement and was all set to go. But the man on the phone told me that the website is not a good place to use to buy the flowers — that it was an FTD site, not really his. (Then why have it?) I had to give him the number of the arrangement I was interested in purchasing. It took him a little while to find it and, once he did, he proceeded to tell me all the reasons why I shouldn’t order that one. He said the daisies were «labor intensive» for him. He wanted me to spend quite a bit more money for another arrangement. He wouldn’t take «no.» I nicely told him I’d have to get back to him and I hung up. I would NEVER try this florist again.

Ordered a funeral arrangement and saw it at the funeral home yesterday. Was very surprised and embarrassed at how sparse the arrangement looked. Especially since this was for our sister in law. Some of the flowers looked withered and it was not worth what we paid for it.

I went to order flowers here for my mother one morning. The old man was very miserable and grumpy. He asked how much I was planning on spending. When it wasn’t an amount he liked to hear he told me to wait he was busy. I patiently waited as he threw around boxes. After a bit he put together a pathetic arrangement of flowers and said this is what your going to get if you don’t want to spend more money. He could have been more nice about the whole thing. He was rude and maybe he was having a bad day but I will never step in there again. I live down the block so decided to go up Morris park to the flower shop where I spent more money because they were much nicer and helpful.

I ordered flowers for a patient at Montefiore. It’s tough to order over the phone from a place you don’t know. Here’s the message my friend left on my phone when the flowers arrived: «No one in the Bronx has ever seen such beautiful flowers. They are absolutely beyond pretty. They’re stunning.» She was delighted and I was relieved to have chosen well. Thanks Ann Art Florist!
