Just had an amazing pastrami and Swiss sandwich. Great food at a great price. Nice work

Just went there today. Place looks completely different. VERY nice. Very. HUGE transformation. Can’t get over how it looks nothing like it did 2 weeks ago(thank god for that though –because the worst part of it before was the way it looked and that food smell when you walked in — and that’s only something I was able to overlook because of its convenience and still it prevented me from stopping in there more often because I couldn’t stand it lol). Hence the reason I’m even bothering to write anything about it at all. Having said that, and for the sake of seriousness, I just want to add that I’ve been a customer of theirs for a few years now, and the food has always been very good, the prices very fair. Before now the décor was just awful(like I’ve said the nicest way I know how to) but can’t complain about that anymore. Staff seems ok. It’s sorta hit-or-miss depending on time of day OR day for that matter because the ones related to owner –like the son and daughter — I like and they’re very nice to me but they’re also not always there and when they’re not it’s a mess so they need to figure out how to do something about that next. Overall it’s a nice family business and the eggs & cheese on bagels, burgers, grinders, and coffee are all very good and the only inexpensive option around for me and who I work with. I’ll continue to stop in there from time to time as I’ve been since moving back to the Bronx a few years ago. Just now I won’t cringe when I walk in.

Nasty, smelly and pricey place… The minute I went in I told my husband I wasn’t eating there, the smell alone was giving me a headache. While my husband went to get me a drink before we leaved, I looked to the side to a display of bananas and they where $.75 cents each, they were fresh nice looking bananas but the price was way too much, then when I looked up the had a shelf of very ripped bananas, way too ripped… The type I would only use on a shake and not even then but instead of giving them away or selling them for at least $.5 cents they were being sold for $.50 cents. I will never walk in there again, not even for a drink…

The food is pretty good, the place it self could be better, but this is great for people looking for a quick bite to eat & Its open 24 hours.

I just moved to the Bronx and was THRILLED to see a Bagel place so close by. My boyfriend has had their everything bagel with scallion cream cheese & lox and has enjoyed it both times we’ve ordered it from them. I, on the other hand ordered(this morning) a breakfast wrap which was: Whole wheat wrap with scrambled egg whites, tomatoes, turkey and Swiss cheese. The eggs were runny, the tomatoes were NOT fresh at all and the worse part: Both the bagel & wrap cost $ 17.08!!! I get the bagel with lox is pricey. But $ 8.00 for a wrap!!!(I get a LOADED breakfast wrap from Frank & Joe’s Deli in Throggs Neck for $ 5.00!) I am going to give Bartow Bagels a shot this weekend seeing they received better reviews. Ohhh. and if you’re in the Throggs Neck area, check out Frank & Joe’s on E. Tremont. That place is awesome!

Outside of the food being disgusting, the tables not being up to standards of your average restaurant in terms of cleanliness, the attitudes from the staff were equally disgusting. I tried a platter of pancakes, sausage and eggs, and it tasted like a low-quality breakfast that may have been found in a frozen food aisle. I didn’t get a drink when I initially bought my meal, so I decided to get one before I finished my meal. I got up, got a drink, and attempted to purchase it with the same card I purchased my meal with; I had no cash on me at the time. Right here is where I was met with an unwelcoming look and a bad attitude. The lady behind the counter, made a disgruntled look on her face, looked up at me and asked, in a rude manner, «Just this?!» I couldn’t believe her audacity. She looks over at another woman working behind the counter, shakes her head and sighs. I’m sorry, forgive me for giving you my money, I promise it won’t happen again. Avoid this poor excuse of a restaurant at all costs. Every Mcdonald’s I’ve been to has better food and service than this, and that says a lot.

First of all, this place gets props just for being one of the only establishments in Co-Op City to actually be open 24 hours a day! However, points need to be taken away, because ironically, the worst thing about the place is their bagels. Their sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast are all good, but during the period when Bagels-On-Bartow was shut down by the board of health, I decided to try their bagels. They were stale and I had to throw them away! However, I would eat just about everything else here without hesitation. Especially considering the only cheaper alternative in this part of Bay Plaza is Burger King.

The ‘Bagel Café’, located in the Bay Plaza Shopping Mall at Co-Op City, is a small all-night restaurant dishing out breakfast, lunch and dinner items 24hrs a day! You can also play ‘Pick 10′ and your daily numbers, Lotto, Mega Millions & Powerball lottery tickets. While the ‘Bagel Café’ is not the worst place I’ve eaten by far, it is also not one of the best. Some of there items are okay… like there Buffalo Wing and Fries. That is one of the menu items I think they actual pull off well. But there BLT sandwich(and you think it be pretty hard to screw up a BLT sandwich) was one of the worst things I ever ate in my life! There Breakfast Sandwiches and platters are ok. But some of the other stuff they offer I would not order or eat if offered to me. There Pizza taste like cardboard and the onion toppings for their Hotdogs always looks old and over-cooked. If you’ve no place else to go then you can take your chances with ‘Bagel Café’.
