I had a very good experience here. I went in on a Sunday at 12 and only waited 5 minutes to be taken care of. The young lady did a wonderful job on my hands and feet. I felt great at the end. The price was good too. $ 25 for mani/pedi. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been going to Bema Nails for years. Most times they are great when it’s NOT busy. Stay away from the weekend days after 11am — it gets extremely busy and the job is rushed. I typically go on Monday, [Tuesdays they are closed], Wednesday or Thursday afternoons, right after work. I favor the UV Manicure with Color Gel — with this combination, the manicure lasts for a month — sometimes 5 weeks. Cindy is the manicurist I prefer for this type of work. I was Maria’s first customer for a pedicure. Over the months she has perfected her craft. If you have callus on your feet — she removes it Really Good! It costs an additional $ 5 for callus removal and it’s worth it. They are a bit shy to new customers; however, once they notice you are a return customer, they make you feel like Norm in Cheers. I love my mani-peds from Bema and the pricing is reasonable for the quality of work. I typically spend $ 100 for a lower leg wax, upper lip, chin, and eyebrow wax, regular pedicure plus callus removal and my special combo manicure. That’s about 2.5 — 3 hours and add an additional 15% tip for a great job.

Excellent mani & pedi! Maria did my nails and I love her. My mani didn’t chip for 5 days!!! What the hell kind of magic glue did she pour over my nails?! The pedi lasted a while too without chipping at all. I think together it was $ 25. Definitely will go back!

For brazilians, I always go to a Uni K Wax Center. For mani/pedis, I go to spot in Kip’s Bay. I had time to do neither today, so I decided to stop in here. Biggest mistake. The woman who was waxing obviously had NO idea what she was doing. I had to ask her to stop several times until she got the point. She kept insisting, and I let her finish. Because I had no time to go somewhere else, I asked for a mani/pedi. After I already chose a color, sat, a lady started filing my nails, but had not run any water. I asked what was going on– there’s no water, so we can only change your color. What? Why didn’t you say that before? Holy crap, if it was not for the fact that I reallyyyy had to get somewhere, I would’ve rolled my eyes and left. Instead, I rolled my eyes and let the girl paint my toes. I need a pedi! I could’ve changed the color myself! Over it. Don’t come here. Change of color was decent at best. Ugh! Didn’t get the mani I needed, and I’m really aggravated right now.

My husband is a medical student at Albert Einstein College, and we live in student housing there right around the corner from Bema. A friend recommended this place, and I love it. It is clean, efficient, and I always think they do a great job. I’ve done many regular manicure and pedicures here but none of the other services. They have a great color selection and spent a lot of time making your nails look perfect. It’s also such a steal– a $ 7 manicure! an $ 18 pedicure! Not to mention, the ladies here are so welcoming and friendly. They remember you and greet you warmly when you walk in. I work in Manhattan but still prefer this place to anywhere I’ve been in the city. Go figure!

This place rocks! I got a gorgeous gel manicure here. I’ve lived in the BX for two years but was skeptical about the nail salons in my neighborhood. I was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem! The staff were very kind and gave me good advice about my polish choices! I will be back

This place was featured in a Time Out New York article listing cheap manicures in NY. I decided to check it out for the holidays and visited in the AM which was a good decision as there was only one other customer. I walked in, told them I wanted a manicure($ 7) and was motioned to pick out a color from their impressive choices on shelves on the wall. There was OPI, Essie and one other brand. The colors look authentic(no adding other colors to bottles) and once I picked my color, sat down. I don’t have much to say about the customer service as the lady doing my manicure did not converse with me at all. Instead, she was listening to the conversation to the left of her between the other customer and the woman doing her manicure. She was quick and efficient though. It’s been 6 days and my nails are still in good shape, even with a very tiny chip. Would definitely come back for the price!

Bronx prices with better than Manhattan service! I will travel the extra half mile to get my nails done here. The place is clean, bright and cute inside. The staff is super-friendly and diligent with their job. The have a good range of essie and OPI colors, but here’s what stole my heart: when you get a pedicure, they give you a parafin treatment for your heels, no extra charge! Amazing.

My manicure and pedicure did not last long, but I do agree it is the perfect place for my eyebrows!

A mixed experience. my friends and I have a tradition to come here for mani/pedis to destress after exams. Been about 5 times and had a great(and very affordable) experience each time! They have enough women on staff to work on you almost right away. I came once recently to get a Brazilian and I won’t do that again. The procedure was both more painful and time-intensive than other salons I’ve tried, although the lady was VERY thorough. $ 50 for a full Brazilian but you’re better off just getting a Groupon for somewhere. Then she had trouble running my credit card so I had to use my debit. They prefer you to tip in cash rather than on the card. It’s a great place to do your nails, though!

Clean, professional, nice, and thorough. I’m very impressed. Had a great pedicure, and the woman was very thorough. I got a scrub, some special cream for my heels, a hot steam towel, and a good massage. All for their regular pedi: $ 18. They actually spend some time on the massage and they use thick, good cream. Yeah, I found my pedicure spot! They even massage your neck while your toes dry.

My cohorts & I dropped by here by impulse during our 4 hr break. 3 of our group got their eyebrows/lips done and they all looked great! $ 7 for eyebrows — can’t beat that price. The ladies seemed nice. The inside is very pink/Korean. I think the mani/pedi is $ 25. Review revised to reflect my last visit and comments from my friends who weren’t as happy with the place.

I like this place, its clean and they do a good job. I come here for manis, pedis, eyebrow waxing and brazillian. Linda does a great job with my eyebrows! The mani/pedi is great too and they last a long time. The brazillian is slightly more expensive than most places and they don’t use the hard wax. I’m still on the lookout for a good brazillian in the city. I miss my lady in san francisco.
