I’ve been here before both when it was Sizzlers and now. The buffet is alright. The food is okay. The servers are good. It’s almost like «Applebee’s» but better.

Grab your Tupperware before you go because if you don’t finish your food they charge you $ 3.29 for a doggie bag, (a styrofoam container) Really! My nephew wanted to eat here for his birthday, I wanted to go to City Island, but it was his day. I was surprised that the food was actually good, I had grilled shrimp, baked potato and a salad from the salad bar, my nephew had grilled shrimp and bbq ribs and many fixings from the salad bar. The food was pretty tasty and trust me I know good food. They have stepped it up compared to the last time I was there about a year ago (Yuck!) All was good until we couldn’t finish our meals. I had more than half left over and I only had a little of the salad bar. I asked for our meals to be wrapped and the waitress informed me that they charge $ 3.29 each to wrap because the salad bar is complimentary. I thought this was crazy as hell, I’ve lived in nyc forever and I never heard of a restaurant doing this ITS TACKY! They should just charge a few bucks for the salad bar at the beginning instead of surprising you when you’re ready to go. You feel like wth I just paid for my meal and now you want more $ or I have to leave my food for you to just throw it the trash. So I recommend, if you go here, go on a empty stomach or bring a container or be prepared to pay to take your leftovers home. What’s next… They going to rent you the utensils? My waitress was a dear and gave me a free one for us to share but I don’t eat meat, so my nephew will have my leftovers. Unbelievable experience.

Absolutely Horrible. The all you can eat food was dry, cold and overcooked. There was fruit flies all over the fruit and salad bar and the fruits were turning white. The only good thing is that the staff was very pleasant, but the food was disgusting. The manager told me that the health department was aware of the fruit flies and that there is nothing that he can do about it. He told me that the fruit flies came from the fruit. The food was old and nasty. I will not be going back to that place ever again.

I came here a few weeks ago. When I ordered, the cashier was very rude. However, that’s not the reason why I am writing a review. They did not have the steak that I originally ordered (porterhouse), so they replaced it with something else (rib-​eye). Fine. When my food came out, my steak was COLD. It was completely cold, as if it was in the microwave for a few minutes. My boyfriend spoke to the waitress and she took care of it. Earlier when we were waiting to be served, a man that sat in front of us complained that his fish was cold also! The only good that came out of this experience was the fried corn nuggets.

Is this place closed yet??? IT IS HORRIBLE. The Salad bar had flies flying overhead. The place smelled. Don’t go to the bathroom… you’ll be sorry! Why don’t they shut this place down and start again from the ground up!!! They charge YOU to eat here… SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I feel sorry for the workers… get another job!!! This place must be reported… it’s bad…

I just came from this place and salad bar is straight trash. and they do not honor the free Pina cold a with Unilocal check in. The carpet and bathroom were both disgusting but the waitress was very nice. Thanks Shelly.

Flies flying around us as we ate, music obnoxiously loud, floor underneath our old squeaky table was dirty, waiter was nowhere to be found when we needed something, but what really made dining here a hilarious disaster was when we asked for a doggy bag we were told (after spending over $ 100 on the meal) that a to-​go container would cost us. To have to pay to take food that we ALREADY paid for out of the restaurant is ridiculous. Definitely won’t be back again.

This is the worst restaurant I ever been with. Went to get brunch today and the waitresses was already getting rid of all the waffles, omelettes like we just paid and already they was rushing us to get everything all at once. I had my kids there and they didn’t even get finish their brunch. The waitresses are often harassing you with are you done with those plates every 3 mins like are you serious? I will never step my foot in there again unless they change their ways. Don’t waste your $ 50 dollars is not worth it you better off taking your family to IHOP for the price and service. Ugh

Nice little spot you can hit up for brunch, lunch or dinner. Prices are very reasonable and if you order a meal over $ 13, complimentary buffet included which is a great deal! Buffet included pasta, desserts and lots of fruits! Only negative was the musty carpet smell from a rug that should’ve been replaced. Ask for server Eleanor, she’s great

The manager was rude and nasty as well as the restaurant no toilet paper in the ladies room. Never going back.

Grosssss !!! The food is frozen. Taco meat, eggs tomatoes.. So I ask the waiter if the food is fresh. He says it’s fresh frozen. I’m like okay so it’s not fresh he’s like yeah it is. the company who sends them the food cooks it and freezes it. im like okay so it’s frozen it’s not fresh who knows how longs it’s been frozen for… the place smelled like cat piss. Just don’t do it to yourself to come here.

Everything was overcooked… The best part was the salad bar because I made my own salad and could make it taste good after I drenched it with cheese and Cesar dressing… Don’t order any of the steaks or shrimps… I couldn’t even eat the mash potatoes cuz they were nasty and not naturally made… Never coming here again unless totally wasted for brunch because I like to make terrible decisions when I’m drunk…

This spot use to be the old sizzler. Walking in it was like the restaurant that time forgot. It still looked just like sizzler with the same buffet set up and kitchen location. We went for brunch and boy we could have done better. Starting from the young lady who you paid in order to sit down. She was slow and lacked any skills as a hostess. The food looked greasy and unappealing. The best part of this experience was the fresh omelette station. This is why I gave it 2 stars and not 1 or less. The chef was kind and prepared the best tasting omelettes. My wife forgot her omelette and he bought it to out tablet.
So buyer beware you can do better than the Bronx Grill!

Worst food ever… ordered the Cuban chicken I received a chicken patty that you get from the frozen aisle in the supermarket topped with old ham and Swiss cheese. The buffet was all already cooked food. The ice cream toppings were ridiculous…1^st and last time ever going here

Worst restaurant ever. They charged for a take out container and I’m not talking about the salad bar. I wanted to take my steak home and was told that I have to pay additional $ 3.00 for a take-​out container. The manager was extremely rude. The food is disgusting. Never again!!!

Steak was ok can tell it was frozen saled bar was nasty nothing fresh canned or pre prepared won’t come here again ok value tho

The salad (buffet) bar is all canned fruits and vegetables. They put wine in the daiquiris instead of rum. I guess you get what you pay for but I will not be coming back here!

Went for brunch. Good value for $ 12.99 which includes fountain drinks & coffee. Food was plentiful, omelet, waffle & sundae stations, salad bar, standard breakfast items and a hearty lunch selection. My only gripe is the way service is set up. U pay at the counter, your handed of your plates, utensils and drinks to start, sit yourself at any table you like then serve yourself at the buffet. If you need anymore extra plates, you need to ask your waiter, in other words, it is not readily available at the buffet station. Besides that, I think it’s a good value for your buck. Also, it’s a step up a notch in terms of cleanliness when it used to be Sizzler restaurant back then. The place had an «A» rating displayed by the door in 2013 when this review was originally posted.

Very weird place. There’s a huge statue of a cow in the middle with big udders and everything. I guess that makes it a dairy cow.
Since I work in the Bronx, which is officially a food desert, my lunch choices are limited. Was brought here by a co-​worker who told me this used to be a sizzler (and had to explain to me what sizzler was — doh). We both got the salad bar, which comes with a fountain drink and is like $ 10.
Meh — is describing it very generously. It looks clean though, and there’s a guy walking around who brings you extra plates and waters and he was really friendly. Not a great selection of fresh veggies — lettuce is on the limpish side, then there are the standard canned beets and croutons and the like. There is also spaghetti and tacos with what appears to be melted cheese product as part of the salad bar, so I guess that’s a good deal.

Driving around and stomachs growling my friends and I decided to take a chance (I opened my phone and checked the Unilocal reviews before walking in)… There was hesitation but my friend said how bad can it really be?
It is the same layout and similar designs the Sizzler used to have. I ordered the Fisherman platter which was great and ate some salad from the Salad Bar/​Buffet. Everything was good and things got better with the Sangria pitcher. Not that strong but it has a little kick. Was really good and the chopped, sweet apples was a plus! Im really impressed and will consider them again in the future.
