Bronx Speakers

This is the only behringer warranty repair store in the greater New York area. And it’s one of those places where the mediocre phone girl is laughing at some sort of joke while she answers the phone to take care of you, and had to pass the phone to some other fool who is a bit better at controlling his laughter. overall pathetic. But that’s the Bronx for ya. What an embarrassment.

Just this past Saturday I had been running around all over the Bronx looking to find last minute DJ speakers for a gig that evening. I was running out of time and especially out of patience. After trying RadioShack and PC Richards and having no luck I almost gave up! And just when I almost gave up, I decided to ask Suri to find «music stores near my area». When I saw Bronx Speakers show up in the results I honestly thought it was bogus. However, I called and asked if they in fact sell speakers and when the gentleman said «yes we do»…I put the pedal to the medal real quick! I pulled up to find this small store loaded with tons of DJ equipment, speakers, cables, controllers, you name it! I was in heaven. I walked in, explained to the guy my situation and he was very helpful. After demo’ing a few speakers I decided to ask if he would rent me the speaker instead just for the night. If I was going to buy professional speakers, I didn’t want to do it rushing. He mentioned that they no longer rented speakers, but the Manager was kind enough to rent it to me with conditions, of course. The conditions were more than fair and they even threw in a special cable I needed at no extra cost! He didn’t even charge me for Monday since it was a holiday. I was able to return their speaker, in tact and on time Tuesday. I just want to Thank these guys for their help and for bending their rules a little. My gig was a success and my sound would not have been that great had it not been for them renting me a speaker! I’m so happy I found this place. Forget Guitar Center! I rather give my business to these guys who specialize in DJ equipment and cut the commercial talk. Plus, I’m all for supporting our local Bronx businesses! I highly recommend this spot!
