The reason for the three stars is simply this : Location: Amazing for me so the convenience factor really is the only thing that keeps me coming back. Staff: Is nice and attentive, this weekend I bought something that was seven days expired and they took it right back gave me my money and then cleared the shelves of that item… that still should not of happened for such a small market but at-least they were proactive about it and next time I will be more careful about dates and quality in this place. Selection: Its limited to a certain extent but like I said it comes through in the clutch and sometimes I get surprised when they have certain things. Price: Overall I find it to be a little on the expensive side, but i know i know I’m paying for convenience.

Cold cuts are 8.99 per pound compared to 9.99 every place else. They also mark chopped sirloin as chopped sirloin instead 95 percent mystery meat. Some meat still has saddle marks on it, especially the stew beef and beef strips. avoid it. Sandwiches are great… although sometimes it depends on who is making it. Normally you would pay more anyplace else because these sandwiches are overstuffed. One problem is that the franchise owners must be Middle Eastern because they have no clue about hot dogs for instance… they don’t understand they should be pork and beef which Bore’s Head has(their supplier). Same with the cold cuts… you have to watch the thickness carefully. Pre cut fruit in a plastic container sits for a week and is horrible… avoid it.

This is a nice supermarket to have back in the neighborhood. I don’t do my main shopping here as it’s a bit more expensive, but it’s great for a quick run down the street if I ever need a certain ingredient, deli sandwich, etc. Service is always friendly at both the deli and registers. My only real complaint is the smell of whatever cleaning solution they use there. What is that!!! I have to brace myself every time I walk in the door. Anywho, overall I’ll keep going back and am glad it’s there.

I am new to the vicinity, and have to say, as a vegan, I am pretty content with the selection. I was told that I can take my list of products that I would love for them to incorporate. I am hoping that I can take these, and they they will have some more options for me. I am hoping we can open up to supporting some local products though.

I passed by this place while looking for a shovel to dig my car out. Today I decided to head over there and pick up some groceries for the week. The prices are better than A&P, but the selection doesn’t compare to a larger supermarket. The deli prices are way better except for the provolone cheese… I’ve worked in deli before and theres no reason to charge 7.99 a pound for provolone cheese! But they had the domestic ham for 3.99 and boars head turkey for 5.99 which is a good price. after coming home I noticed that a lot of the sale prices did not come off my receipt, and I got charged for 8 sodas when I only purchased 1. I had called and walked back and they refunded me the money, so no problems there. These kind of problems happen when a supermarket is new and the scanning department doesn’t change the On/Off sales… I visited on a Saturday so maybe whoever worked in scanning was confused or just the novelty of the supermarket threw them off. Upon getting my refund I bought bagels and sour cream and again at the register the sale price on the bagels did not ring up. This time, I caught it while I was there. Despite the bugs and kinks, It is a nice little market with a nice staff, but with only 3 – 4 checkout lines I can imagine it gets hectic during peak hours. The meat department has a decent selection, there was some brown in my beef chuck but I’m sure it was just oxidation and its cooking in the crock pot now, so if I get sick I’ll update. I think its just oxidation though.

Brand new! They re-opened on February 7th, 2014! Fresh produce, re-designed deli section with hot food, sandwiches, salad bar and more! Great selection of quality meats and cheeses– bakery section with fresh bread. Great to have this back in the neighborhood!

Its sad tp see a business closing just like this one in the Bronx. its the only stock up store in the Little Ireland area and there is nothing I can do but watch it close=(( Ive had good experience and bad, but I never wished them close.

This was re-opened by new management so I have to change my review. While the past C-Town was horrible, this one is as excellent as a C-Town could be. The supermarket its self is nicer than some specialty supermarkets. The management is clearly meticulous as everything is clean and very neatly arranged. The produce is fresh and plentiful. There is a great selection of prepared and specialty food items. The meat is generally pretty good, but still not as good as the butcher. For the price it’s worth it. The C-Town sales make this place still affordable though there are pricier special items available as an option. I would rate this place 4.5 stars if possible. I only take off half a star because there is always something missed priced though the staff has been very courteous with handling it each time. Once that it fixed, I will change my review to 5 stars.

Good local supermarket. I go here for small shopping & when I need to pick up stuff here & there. I usually do my big shopping at Stop & Shop but there are a few things that are cheaper here like the 5 lb bag of Idaho potatoes. I’ve noticed that some things are mis-marked. The price on the item is sometimes different than what I’m charged(& not in my favor of course).
