I’ve seen this place change so much over the last 12 years or so. I appreciate that they carry fresh fruit and veggies for less prices than the supermarket next door. They also have a lot of food necessities and household items. Their flower section is inexpensive and not bad at all — a good place if you want to pick up some everyday flowers for your lady or mom. They’ll make fresh bouquets of roses for you if you can find someone. They’ve always had the 2 registers in the middle of the store which caused 2 lines forming. Now, the cashiers are in the corner and the bright customers can never figure out how to form a line or two. People are all over the place, blocking aisles, and cutting each other off.

This place is a trip. First of all, there is no front wall. Now, I’m sure commercial landlords are used to tenants asking them to rearrange window and door placements on the street front, but to pull down the front wall entirely? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. So… needless to say, this place never closes! There’s always a really huge selection of fruits and vegetables out front(hence the name of the store, I think) and they’re all really reasonably priced, if not downright cheap. Other than that, it’s just a really large bodega with an unusual selection of herbs and chilis and other such things I don’t recognize from my conservative suburban upbringing. :) Mostly I just enjoy coming here to make jokes about not being unemployed in Greenland. But that just goes to show I’ve seen The Princess Bride far too many times.
