Yummy! Dawaat is a nice little Bangladeshi/Indian/Paki restaurant that opened in the Castle Hill/Parkchester section of the Bronx a few months ago. They serve a delicious lunch special for only 5.95 in which you get nice big serving of basmati rice and a choice of meat and vegetable. I ordered the chicken tikki masala and sag. This meal at Dawaat was different than any other Indian places in that the food was spicy but yet was also sweet at the same time. It was very savory and delicious. The veggie samosas 75 cents each and chicken patty was also not bad. The gulab jamun 6 pcs for 5 bucks was also very good. Though I had some difficulty understanding the guy behind Dawaat, he was very friendly and accomodating. They have a nice size menu, nothing expensive(def a cheap eats place), and they deliver. The restaurant is small but nice and clean. Good place to dine in. I would definitely come back!
