The Duane Reade store personnel are very rude, and are not aware of their legal obligations to the consumer. I strongly recommend that you shop elsewhere. This store refused to accept back my returnable bottle containers, and sent me packing with them back home. This store was happy enough to sell me the beverage containers, but when the time came to refund my container deposits, they rejected me. This is dishonest and illegal behavior.

Your garden-​variety Duane Reade, nothing to write home about. The checkout line can get a little intense at times, but several of the cashiers are super-​sweet. Plus, this is where I can find Harmless Harvest coconut water (albeit mildly overpriced) like 50 paces from my front door.
The only real negative from me is that they make me walk all the way up to the one on Kingsbridge when I need a sheet of stamps. Alright; also, the beer is rarely cold despite being in a refrigerated case. What’s that all aboot?
