The Focal Point Gallery is a great venue exhibiting the work of local artists and photographers. The atmosphere is as laid back and unpretentious as City Island itself. If you are seeking an original art piece to display on your walls, Focal Point Gallery is worth a visit. In a day and age where the art scene is overtly commercialized, Focal Point Gallery is a breath of fresh ocean air!

Their installations are artistically deigned, amazingly displayed and Ron, the shop owner is extremely delightful fellow and always helpful without overwhelming visitors to make a sale.

One of the highlights to my City Island excursion–
A quaint little shop that keeps it’s door wide open, kids riding their bikes and blowing bubbles on the stoop while adults chatter casually. They have some really interesting, cool stuff here.
Paintings, photographs and handmade jewelry all at shockingly reasonable prices. The price inflation of Manhattan and Brooklyn has clearly gotten to me!
