Forman Mills

I’ve lived in the Bronx for quite some time and have never ventured into Forman Mills. I needed a pair of work pants but didn’t feel like going downtown and, more importantly, didn’t want to spend $ 65.00 at the Loft or Ann Taylor. I figured I would try my luck at Forman Mills instead. I must say, it appears to be a real junk-​hole but if you take the time to look you can find some real gems. I found a pair of Ralph Lauren grey wool slacks that were marked down to $ 5.00. I also got a cute cotton sweater with three-​quarter sleeves for $ 5.99. Three pairs of slacks and one sweater cost me $ 26.00!!! I was told by someone that works there that they always have name brand clothing deeply discounted. I will definitely go back from time to time and check out their inventory. Totally worth it.

I scored a hot pair of Nike Air glides for $ 50. There was a wide selection of colorful Nike Airs for the upcoming Spring. The prices for clothes can’t be beat. There was a pair of sneakers that seemed to have stains on it. Hmm…

I’ve always heard about Forman Mills but never ventured into their stores until now. I was in the Boogy down Bronx doing some early Xmas shopping for about 7 kids aged from 3months old to 7 years old. I was told to check out 149^th and 3^rd Avenue for some affordable clothes for the kiddies. Boy when I first walked in this warehouse like store I was overwhelmed with the clothes. I went straight to the back for their children’s section and racked up jeans, sweaters and hats and gloves. My cart was so full and I was ecstatic with the amount of clothes I bought. The store itself is packed so tight its hard to push a cart down the aisles. I would get there early because it did get crowded. I would definitely check out this store in Jersey where I heard it was a better selection.

I give the store 4 stars because when you go during their «sales» you can catch shirts that were once $ 24 for $ 10 or less, that includes, jeans, shoes, tops, etc. So I always hit the store during the changing of the seasons. Otherwise, they have good bargains, you have to take your time and shop and be prepared to stand on a long line and they no longer let you use the restrooms.

It’s okay. But the prices are not so hot. I can get a lot of the same things they sell here for less. Always shop around. Forman Mills is NOT the best lowest priced.

Well this is my second time being at this store and from what I recall they used to have a much greater selection for both men/‘young men but that was some years ago and this is today look it the level of cleanliness tells me that they have at least managed to retained the services of the very same cleaning crew they had all those years ago when I first came to the city and discovered this place honestly I noticed that some of the exact brands and style are at least double of what they actually cost at Conway just a couple of buildings down the street but of course it is a pretty clean store so in that aspect there is no comparison but I did also noticed that who ever is in charge of hiring the staff just does not care enough to train them properly in keeping their fucking mouths shut about their personal affairs/​feuds with fellow co’workers in front of the customers as well in proper manners/​respect towards a customer should they require help no need to act as if you are of such great importance that people who aren’t aware of the layout should not be asking you anything and visibly twisting up your face/​kissing your teethes as well if it were up to me you would be fired immediately as a matter of fact you would not be hired to begin with so even though it is not the greatest you are still getting paid a salary after all so no need to act disgusting is there?

The selection is boring, but you can’t beat the price. This new store is a welcome addition to the Hub.

When I heard Forman Mills was going to open near us, I was excited and when the day came I made my merry way there, no I didn’t shop till I dropped but I did get some good deals. They have a wide range of designer wear for women, men and kids at very reasonable pricing. The men’s section is pretty big, the branded jeans starts from $ 7.99 onwards, worth getting. Ladies section has a big selection and they have some cute bags too. A good place to get school clothings for the children. :o)
