I had the Frankie Frank Double. 2 fried hot dogs on an Italian roll w/peppers, onions and potatoes. I was actually er surprised at how good it tasted. Hot dogs were good quality and overall it was good. I just didn’t get a good vibe from the place. Looks like they don’t get many customers. I went on a Saturday at noon, perhaps that was the reason. But I saw the cook take the hot dog out of the fridge along with the peppers and onions and put them on the grill. He put the Italian bread in the microwave to soften it up too. The rest of the menu is a bit awkward as it had Chili dogs, Chicken wings, and other college fair. I like the idea of putting an Italian spin on a hot dog, I just think that this place is not reaching its potential and can do more.

I have seen Frankie Franks open for a little while now. I’ve never seen a crowd like any of the other Arthur Ave spots so I was pretty suspicious as to how good it was. Turns out it was actually darn good. One of the best chili dogs I’ve ever had, great cheese fries. Wasn’t a big fan of the Italian sausage — served on pizza bread with peppers and potatoes(???). Pretty messy, not great. Nice place for a cheap lunch.
