I had 2 cakes make for my granddaughter and nephew’s communion, they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Golden Glow. Their cheesecakes are to die for, their meltaways, indescribably delicious, cookies are wonderful. Mike and staff, thank you for making my granddaughter and nephew’s day complete!

Love the cookie factory. Once you pull in front you have sweet aroma of baked good penetrating your nostrils. As you enter there is always the nicest assistance behind the counter. I have been coming here for over 15 years, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my pastry needs the cookies are spectacular. Prices are affordable — but if they weren’t it wouldn’t matter anyway the cookies are worth it!

I always look for this place and finally today I found it and took loads of pictures! I tried the pignoli and almond cookie, the pignoli was so good but a few nuts were burned on top the almond cookie was a bit sweet. I bought a red velvet cupcake and black and white cookie for my daughter, she said they were good. Must say I was overwhelmed by the selection! They have coupons for discounts on cakes and such. I’ll be back to try more and keep you all in the loop! Happy Unilocaling :)

What an amazing find!!! So I own a business in South Jersey and every year we send out about 605lb cookie trays to our customers as a show of appreciation. If you are from South Jersey, you know how expensive that is. Not only is it expensive, but the cookies are not even that great. I mean my kids would rather eat the cookies I make. So I ask a good friend of mine that is from New York about cookies. He tells me he knows THEPERFECTPLACE. Golden Glow Cookie Co, or The Cookie Factory. Well, let me tell you how right he was! So, I call one of the owners, named Mike. What a gentleman!!! I told him what I needed and he was very happy to accommodate me. I was unable to send any of my employees during the week or on Saturday because my business is so busy and I honestly could not spare one guy. So Mike tells me that even though they are not open on Sunday(they are open on Sunday right before the Holiday) for pick ups that he would be there for my driver. So my guy drives to the Bronx to pick up my cookies. I have to be honest, I was a little nervous because I have never seen the cookies that they make. Well… I was totally impressed. The cookies were plated on nice silver colored tray. They were wrapped in santa cellophane and had a really nice ribbon on them. He also packaged each one in a cardboard box to make sure they were safe for the commute back home. When my driver left he texted me to say that my driver just left and that all went well. My driver called me and said what a nice man Mike was. This was a wonderful experience for us. I literally spent close to 2k on cookies. They were worth every penny!!! So if you you need some nice tasty cookies, this place is worth every penny! Golden Glow will be my go to cookie store for all of my future needs!!!

This place is amazing. From the wonderful aromas that greet you on the street as you walk in to the culinary delights inside and who could forget to mention the friendly, helpful staff. Everything is fresh, tasty and priced right. Now that I found this place I’ll never go to another bakery.

Golden Glow cookies are one of those hallmarks that’s ingrained in my memory since childhood. I’ve been to many a function where their cookies have been served for dessert, and I’ve recently visited their retail location on Givan Ave. Their actual retail location is essentially a factory; the décor and ambiance is not warm like other bakeries I’ve been to, but that’s okay because that’s not what it’s meant to be. The kitchen is semi-open and you can sometimes see the employees in the back baking. The best part about visiting their retail location in person has to be the aroma of all the baked goods. It permeates every crevice of the factory and made my nose very happy. =) They have a decent selection of desserts, though I’ve only tried their cookies. The cookies are tasty, but I’ve had higher quality at other bakeries. They have a huge variety, even offering sugar free options. However, I find that many of their cookies look/taste the same. The staff and customer service is great. They are prompt and super friendly, greeting you and making sure you’re taken care of. Overall, Golden Glow bakes tasty cookies; not the best but not the worst. The staff is super friendly and they have a large selection. However, if you’re looking for a higher quality Italian cookie I would advise you to explore bakeries in Pelham Gardens and Morris Park.

I have been eating Golden Glow’s cookies every holiday season for the past 23 years! They are reliable and delicious. Although I am a sucker for gooey, warm chocolate chip cookies, I find that these cookies taste delicious when they come out of my step-dad’s freezing cold car! He has been bringing them to his clients for 20 years and they are a staple of my holiday season. If you are looking for some great cookies, go here!

I lived around here for all my life and never step foot into this wonderful place. The aroma gets to you before you walk in. A girlfriend of mine, brought cookies to the job and I just could not resist to go the following day. I literally ate every cookie even the ones I purchased for my husband. If you live around the area, you must stop by!!! Its amazing… Oh yea a pound of cookies is 5 dollars. SOOOOAMAZING

This place is in legit CARAJOLAND. I did an urban studies project on the neighborhood, and to put the area in a planning perspective, it’s a manufacturing district. Golden Glow Cookie Co(aka the Cookie Factory) is located along the 5 line in the Baychester section of the Bronx, nestled between the Haffen Park area, and, well, I’m not sure what you call it. It’s kind of like Co-Op City, if it had a tail or something. There’s a bunch of towing shops and car washes in the area, and I’m sure you’ve passed by if your car ever died on the Thruway. Regardless of the area, Golden Glow Cookie Co lives up to its name by being the shimmering beacon amongst the sidewalk-less, puddle-ridden streets. It looks like an actual warehouse, but once you’re inside, you’re greeted with the delicious aroma of baked goods. Everything tastes as good as it smells. They have nearly everything: cookies, cupcakes, cakes, Italian pastries, Irish pastries, sugar-free cookies, gluten-free cookies, and who knows what else. The service is very friendly, and although this is a weird area of the Bronx, the clientele is charmingly diverse. When I went this afternoon, I saw an Italian couple, a Rabbi, and West Indian ladies working the register. Prices are amazing, a pound of cookies will run you from $ 4.50-$ 6.00 depending on if they’re sugar free or not. Brotip: If you’re from Manhattan or hipster Brooklyn, you may have a heart attack coming here. This is the one of the few parts of the city that has yet to be gentrified.
