The only batting cage in the Bronx. Rare that a city with so many Hispanics doesn’t have really any. But, in this case Grand Slam is a hidden gem in the city. I been there a few times with my son and really enjoyed it.

This batting cage is located above a nice catering location on East Tremont. Only a few blocks away from Frank’s sporting goods. This is a pretty frequently used batting cage by pretty much many people in upper Manhattan and the BX. The cages themselves may not be top of the line but honestly, it’s a nice cheap place you can get some hacks in. The staff is nice and quick to help you. The last time I was there, one of the pitching machines didn’t have enough balls to complete the coin cycle. I got comped the coin and went back to hacking away. Perfect for baseball and softball. It is also a good place to rent out the pitching tunnel as well. If you have a wide swing, like I do, you will learn to make it compact because the width of each cage isn’t that wide. That’s the only bad side(and it’s not really bad). On the good side, there’s usually enough people there that will help you change up your swing. I met a few batting coaches there who helped me quicken my bat and stopped my bat sway. It actually helped a lot. You’ll also meet folks looking for players for their leagues so if you’re interested in playing, keep your ears open. Also, you’ll see a few local celebs or so who sponsor some teams. Overall, a nice cheap place to get some hacks in. You get what you pay for and you also meet some cool folks.

One of the few batting cages left in NYC, and definitely the only one i know of in the Bronx. Great location, right on Tremont Ave and it’s open 7 days a week! Tunnel and batting cages are available for rent by ½ hour or by hour & Automatic Master Pitch«arm» machines for both baseball and softball at $ 1.50 a token for about 15 pitches= Awesome!!!
