One of they best deli’s in the county of the Bronx period. There sandwiches are always plumpy and stuffed nicely, the bread is fresh every day and they have a small buffet in the back of the deli for those of you who want hot food. The sandwiches range from $ 6 to $ 10 but are well worth every penny, they have a huge selection of different sandwiches too, they also deliver, the staff is very pleasant as well. All in all a wonderful deli, great food prepared right before your eyes, but why take my word for it go out and try them for yourselves, I’m sure you’ll love the chicken cutlet or pastrami sandwiches with soft salty mozzarella and so much more.

Everytime I call to order they never are delivering. I called once to order and after and hour I called back they choose to tell me they are not delivery. Don’t bother spending your money.

Standard deli. Standard prices. Nothing really stands out about this place other than it is en route to my gym. Would return.

This is a deli-buffet…and one of the BEST in the area! The food is DELICIOUS… almost everything on that buffet is good, fresh and sells out quick because Einstein & Jacobi Hospital staff are their best customers so turnover is HIGH… this food is NOT sitting around… I NEVER got a tummy ache from this spot… Its awesome, I even considered having them cater parties for me…

The sandwiches are HUGE! Quick service, always busy… so the food moves, everything is fresh. A block from my job, so it is where I get lunch most days.

Too bad there is not an option for 0 stars. it was a Saturday morning. not too bz and I had to wait 20 minutes for my food to be done. I ordered a healthy breakfast and a bacon and egg on a roll for my daughter and got completely the opposite. The omelet was soaked in oil and her bacon and egg had cheese in it. The toast was soaked in butter and idk what else. Looked like a piece of lettuce on my toast. Rude, Unprofessional and extremely slow.

As far as sandwiches go they are very good. Boars Head meats/cheeses and they make them so big you can have ½ for lunch & ½ for dinner. Their hot buffet is hit or miss. If you get there early(11am’ish) you get the best & freshest choices. Overall, I’d give it a strong 3.5 stars.

I used to work around the area so this is one of the places i come to get lunch! Their sandwiches are so good! They have all different kinds, almost anything u can think of!(Very interesting names btw!) they also make cold cut sandwiches/wraps. They have breakfast items like pancakes and french toast. I’ve never had those and also never had their hamburgers so i cant say much abt that. They also have buffet style lunch where u pick whatever u want to eat and they charge by weight. I really really love their salad they have every once in awhile, its avocado mixed w onions and tomatoes!!! Overall, very good spot for sandwiches and such! Hard, let me repeat. VERY hard to find parking in the area. Its super crowded during lunch time but the guys work quick!

Good humongous sandwiches. Seriously… huge sandwiches. Fresh ingredients, fresh meat. They have a hot buffet as well which I think is slightly overpriced. Ask for Frankie to make a Frankie special, or any other sandwich for that matter. He makes the best hero sandwiches.

Fresh ingredients, fast service, large sandwiches, reasonable price. I usually save half the sandwich for a later meal because they give you so much.

Their Obama sandwich is fantastic(minus the mayo). They have a small buffet area will some good choices everyday and a wide selection of drinks etc. The people that work there are always working hard and striving to give you an awesome sandwich. Gem of the neighborhood.

Beware! When getting the hot food buffet, they quickly operate the cash register and add a $ 1 surcharge on top of the tax without telling you. Look for when they first weigh the food, the amount in pounds will show up, then they charge $ 6.99/pound right now, plus tax, but then they add this $ 1 extra charge for nothing. They can’t do this for the sandwiches because they actually print the price on the sticker so it would be obvious if they did. Sneaky. I will not go there again.

This business doesn’t seem to have any knowledge of this Unilocal page. I work nearby and have come here more than a handful of times. For the area it is definitely a go to spot for a sandwich. Make sure to come with an appetite. The sandwiches that come on hero’s are huge over 12 inches in length and they do not skimp on the fillings. The menu has an array of themes hero’s and sandwiches that should cater to all. They will also ass or remove anything at your request. I know they also serve breakfast, though I have never had there breakfast. They also have many drinks and chips. During the weak there is also a buffet that can be bought by the pound. I have never tried this but it seems to be pretty popular. There is also free delivery locally and the staff is pretty cool and prompt.

Great food and sandwiches. They take pride in making their sandwiches. Very smooth operation. They are not cheap with the sandwiches at all. They give you alot in one sandwich and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Great for having parties also.

Convenient, friendly, and delicious. Sandwiches are great I especially like the eggplant parm and shach’s stack though I get mine without the grilled chicken which I hear makes it even better for non-vegetarians. The rolls are fresh and crusty and the service is quick. The deli has some non-sandwich options like knish and a tempting salad bar. No it’s not as cheap as the hospital cafeteria, but it has exciting things like stuffed grape leaves, caprese salad, and cheesy baked spinach and is on par pricewise with most deli salad bars. Enjoy!

great food! no wait, that’s an understatement, their sandwiches are a work of art! I am partial for Joe’s Special, ever since i first had it i simply couldn’t bear to order anything else. Imagine this: chicken salad, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, roasted red peppers, letttuce, toamatoes, and onions! holy cow, just describing it gets me hungry! They have a large range of designed sandwiches, all the ones i’ve tried have been phenomenal, and you can design your own to your own whims. They also have a buffet which has a pretty good selection of quite delicious options, their Mac’n’cheese, when available, is usually great! Overall, their sandwiches are worth the wait and lines that sometimes occur around lunch time, but note that they are slightly pricier than the cheaper«Star Deli» nearby, but i personally think the sandwiches are on a totally different level!

Great sandwiches, but sort of on the pricey side. Their buffet is also scaled pretty high. You’ll find everything you want here. Sandwiches are very fresh and even with the long lines at lunch time, line moves along pretty quickly.

Pretty good sandwiches, put together pretty quickly. It can get crowded around 1pm when everyone from the medical school seems to come in, but other than that there’s rarely a wait. They have a ton of menu sandwiches, including a pretty good vegetarian one, or you can just have them put one together however you want. They’ve never screwed up anything i’ve ordered. Minus one star because the quarts of milk in the drinks cooler are often frozen solid.
