Macca Live Poultry

This place is great.
Now, you will see, smell the «typical» live poultry scene, but the place is indoors, so right off the bat you avoid the wet mudy floor I usually see in these places.
I saw goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, roosters, hens, pigeons and a few assorted animals I didn’t recognize. They were crowded, but not overly so. No dead birds visible. No injured animals either.
The guy who helped me was VERY patient. He knew he stuff, made sure I got exactly what I wanted as far as weight (caught an weighed 3 turkeys before we found one I wanted) and told me upfront how much — NO SURPRISES.
Macca cleans and dresses your bird, so all you have to do is go home with a gorgeous fresh kill. I will definitely be back.
At $ 2.25/Lb that’s a HUGE savings over the 5.50+ /​lb you’d get at Citarella or Whole foods and it will not be as fresh, just for the fact you didn’t see it looking back at you!
This place is good. I beleive they are halal, but please double check. I don’t like going to these places in general, but it was a very good experience. Open late, I cant say enough good things.
