Marie’s husband is very nice and accommodating, he went out of his way to give me directions back to Westchester.

Holy crap this coffee is amazing. It is super cheap, too, and roasted right there. The people are friendly, but who cares. I am all about this coffee!

Such a nice shop and really sweet staff. Their personlized gifts that they create for special occasions look great; I snuck a peek while I was shopping for some sourvenirs during a visit. The coffee smelled fantastic, but it was right before dinner so I skipped the chance to find out, but I’m sure it would have been great.

If you go to the Bronx’s Little Italy — you might as well do «as genuine as it gets».
Ask any coffee «specialist» how to maximize your Crema and wait around indefinitely for a good answer. One of the better ones instructs you to blend some Robusta into your grind. Robusta? OMG no! Who would dare allow any mention of that lowly bean! Well its true. As any Italian espresso expert will surely tell you, a little bit of Robusto goes a long way in adding a nice flavor kick and lots of Crema.
Since I buy all of my weird Italian-​style cookware at Marie’s (gas burner, Pasatutto, gaskets… etc…etc…), and since their fresh roasted coffee is always the best of the best, i decided to mention my search for a really good Italian blend that has Robusta. She recommended one of the Italian bean bags on the shelf without making promises (since there’s nothing written on the label…) and I couldn’t wait to get back home and run it through my Giotto.
Wow! What a recommendation! Right on the dot!
So if you want Italian expertise go to Marie’s and do as genuine as it gets!
