After 30 minutes of waiting for just an appetizer and repeated attempts to flag down our waiter (who continuously ignored us) we left. Very poor service. Not worth it. Go somewhere else.

When we first arrived, there was no hostest to greet us. After standing in the middle of this restaurant for a few mint the hostest came and showed us to a table. The table they wanted to seat us at was dirty, we wait for them to clean it. But then we notice that the chairs were dirty too. So I had ro tell of the waitress to clean that as well or change the chairs (which they did). Although they have a sign that says 21 they really weren’t checking for id. The food was extremly disapointing, the drinks were good. Although they did have amazing music, that’s mainly the only thing they have going for them.

I always ordered here for lunch yet when I sat down and went one friday night it was definitely a Phenomenal experience.
The music was great, and great mix to listen to for a spanish restaurant. The staff where very friendly and family orientated.
For drinks they had amazing mixs and strong in acceptable glass sizes.
For food i had the two types of Rellenos and the croquettes. The food was so fresh and Hot and mouth watering and succulent and savory. Definitely a place to go to on any occassion.
Would reccommend coming here anytime. A diamond in the ruff.

Been here 3 times before so it’s a staple.
1^st time for the happy hour and won’t be my last. I wish I got the bartender’s name, he was great. The food and drink menu for HH is a nice deal. I was satisfied with my food choice (pictured), considering it’s the first time I tasted it.
This will be a local go to stop in the summertime.

My sister-​in-​law took us here with great expectations since she is a regular… But what a disappointment… First of all; nobody greets you at the door. So no hostess but we found a lady and asked for a table and 30 mins. later she finally came back and was like «you still here? You could’ve been sat down» in Spanish…
We get a table, a waiter with smart ass attitude, got our drinks and food that took forever and were pretty much forced to tip a guy that brought cold food and abandoned us for awhile. Place was extremely crowded, table was «cleaned» with a strong ass windex which is an appetite pooper! Lol! Food was awful, overpriced and under seasoned… Seating booths are falling apart and you could literally hurt yourself with the damn plastic.
Anyways; what a huuuuuge disappointment… Our waiter «Manny» lacked professionalism but so did the entire staff. Bathrooms were dirty, drinks were small and pricey (see attached receipt), and establishment was dark inside (and I don’t mean «mood lit»).
I am surprised people fill up that place.

This is the worst place I ever went to !! the service was horrible! I had to ask for to many things that should have been there in the first place! For exp. the napkins and spoons! And the manager asking for our menu when we wasn’t done with it! They must had been running out! anywho won’t be going back! Well I will be going but to another location!

So I came here on a date & I must say the service here isn’t that great.
For starters, you seat yourself (which isn’t that big of a deal). Once you’re sitting it takes a while before someone comes to take your order which is annoying.
The food didn’t take very long to come & it was pretty good, but, once it did come my date’s food arrived on a dirty plate (no one knows how to wash dishes in here?). He wasn’t happy about that so he sent it back.
On a positive note, the drinks arrived pretty quickly and they were strong. Just the way I like my drinks. I had «The Green Man» and my date had «the Homerun». Drinks are good.
On another positive note, our waiter was really nice. He really held us down when it came to our drink orders .
But, this place still isn’t amazing to me. Seems like just a typical neighborhood restaurant in the Bronx.

This place gets ONE star because food is decent. Other than that placeis hORRIBLE … LOUD GHETTO RATCHET people all over the place screaming and shouting. Grinding on eachother like they werent kids around!!!. You can barely hear yourself think. My waiter had a attitude, didnt appreciate that at all. Dont recommend this place to nobody and definitely wont be back!!!

Went today for the lunch special and boy was it special!
For only 6 bucks I got a hearty portion of white rice, red beans and tilapa (made on the spot). My co worker who was with me got Pollo Guisado with white rice and red beans. She was in love! Even said it was better than Malecon’s! I don’t eat chicken anymore but from the look on her face you could tell she was thoroughly impressed with her meal.
The place itself is trendier than you would expect for being at the Target shopping center. It has a dance feel to the place and you can tell probably has one heck of a happy hour. There was a sign for the happy hour specials that definitely caught our eyes.
From 4−8pm Monday through Friday there is a special for certain drinks and appetizers. Certain (tasty) apps are reduced to $ 3.95 per plate and special cocktails are reduced to $ 4.95. I think thats a steal especially when I read options such a Cocoloso and Mimosas! Sign me Up… and that we did. A bunch of us are going over there after work today to try it out.

Overall:
Typical Dominican spot with good décor. Menus were dirty and ripped. They have a open view kitchen which clearly is dirty and the stainless steel is abismal dark in some spots. Food is decent, drinks do not match price at all. Would not recommend on a first date, nor lunch meeting or special occasion. Overpriced for what you are getting in return.
Service:
Server was attentive, sole reason I give two stars. Came quick, took our orders and paid attention to our needs.
Food:
Had the grilled chicken with side of sweet plantains. Chicken was a little too well cooked, seasoning barely present (²⁄₅). My date got their chicken wrapped on ham with a cheese sauce poured all over. It was decent. The chicken is breaded but does not justify it’s price at all (²⁄₅)
Drinks:
Got a French martini (³⁄₅), too much chambord was added which overpowered the pineapple juice rendering it useless. The alcohol was the only good thing in it.

Churrasco (Entraña) skirt steak is really amazing. The music is too loud though, which keeps me from wanting to go back a third time. We couldn’t hear each other talk the whole time we were there. When you sit down to have a steak, you want to have a conversation, not a party.

One thing I can say about this place is that their drinks NEVER disappoint. From their mojitos to their popola locas, they are delicious!!!
Oh, and did I mention the shrimp quesadillas and the skirt steak? AMAZING.
This place has a good happy hour program– Monday-​Friday drinks & appetizers are $ 5. For Fridays, the appetizers aren’t included in the special, but they’re only about $ 3 more, so it’s still affordable.
The only inconvenience was the waiting time. SOMETIMES they might take longer than other days, but at least the drinks and food are always good.
Oh, and they have outside seating which is nice! and hookah (which you have to pay for separately).
If I’m not mistaken, my waiter’s name was Angel. He was very attentive and cool. He’s tall and brolic, if you see him, request him, lol.
P. S. If you’re going to get drinks here, get the popola loca or the blue hawaiian!!! DELICIOUS, I TELL YOU!
I’m eager to try that drink that comes in a pineapple, looks yummy. Next time, though :)

Great seafood and great drinks. Get the Pina Exotica, exotic and delicious. Service can be slow but the food is worth the wait.

Where to start… Mother’s day!
My mother goes to church and there’s no way we were going to make it to City Island and mom wanted seafood. We ended up here not realizing the place we were recommended the one on St. Nicholas.
The food was overpriced, my moms lobster was overcooked, all dishes are served with one side.
The paella for 2 had approximately a 47% markup from the original menu. I guess they figured they’d give my sister-​in law and myself a surprise for mothers day, drum roll please… hair!
Hair in the paella! Paella Round 2, after the not so friendly manager came to our table and couldn’t be bothered to at least extend an apology, the clams & mussels in the paella were spoiled, some unopened, needless to say they shouldn’t have served this!
Hairnets people!!! Wear them — I think this is a restaurant?!
I normally Unilocal everything before going, I like to see, what other people have to say, not this day… Wont be going back! If you haven’t been here, don’t bother you won’t be missing anything!

I come today and I ask for the the steak and they give a bs food and the wine is so poor th service bad I been eating in different stake house and they do better service I speak to one of the waiter and he doesn’t have anything to said I paid 139 .just cos I was with my family but the chefs don’t know how to cook well I hope the person who owns this please put more attention to this

I went yesterday to this place 1. I go in with my boyfriend usually they have a host in restaurants & serves to get you seated … Well not in this place i had to find my own table and get ppls attention in there 2. food looked like it was precook like if they put it in the microwave or something
3. Very expensive my boyfriend order churasco alone with a side order of rice i order fries with fried shirmps nd his brother order a «10 $» special of chicken and rice the total of everything was 95 $ plus the tax and didnt even enjoying that food –_​–
I will not return to this place

I would give it 1.5 stars but it comes closer to 1 star. Here’s why!
The food is just slightly over priced, for recooked, or what appeared to be frozen or microwaved food.
Ordered food 3 tries, in store and take out (seems to be me giving them a fair chance)
First time: food took 1 hour to get here. Okay great
Second time: 2hours 30 minutes (not to mention we got the exact same thing as last time!)
Third time I ate in store, the food felt microwaved, reheated, I don’t know what it was. But it was definitely NOT FRESH. And left a bad experience overall for me

I’ve been to this restaurant on various occations. The day service is totally different from the evening. The day waitress provided an excellent customer service and the food was also great; but durong the evening the customer service is very poor, the music is loud (club loud) and is average. (In my opinion).

I usually go to the one in the heights and this pretty much settled that I will continue going to the heights.
I walked in and even though it wasn’t busy, I was not greeted. I ordered the Camarones al ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce) with mashed potatoes, they literally gave me boiled shrimp with garlic water.
My boyfriend ordered the red snapper in creole sauce and he literally spit it out after a taste. Our order was $ 60 and we didn’t even enjoy it (especially after waiting 26 minutes) to get it.
We will not be coming to this location anymore.

So far I have tried this place only twice because their prices are pretty high. The food is good However, the service here varies from time to time. I never stop here if im in a hurry because of that.
I have only had their fish dishes and I was once offered a sample of their fish soup. As restaurants in the Bronx go it is pretty classy but the level of service should be consistant. They also offer a lunch menu but those prices never seem to apply to my meals.
Overall, the food is good but the pricing could be better.
