Montefiore Medical Center

I use to go to this facility but I always had a hard time making an appt. The staff played amateur Dr with you. If you refuse their questions about you medical complaint (in which they speak so loudly so the entire reception room knows everything about you, which is embarrassing) they denied you an appointment with the real Dr. I seen a man who was just release from the hospital just an hour ago and had to see his Dr. as suggested by an emergency staff member from the hospital he just came from with his hospital band still in place and a receptionist refuse to let him see his Dr. That did it for me… No more! The Dr’s assistant staff IS very ghetto and make you feel inadequate and not like a patient. The staff had also mixed up their paperwork and the tech was yelling at me very inappropriately for their mistake. She never apologized for her behavior. There are some really good Dr’s on staff, however, they may not be aware of how the staff treats the patients.

They just settled on a malpractice lawsuit for $ 10 Million Dollars. A women just died at Montefiore due to GROSS negligence and MALPRACTICE. They are under the same umbrella as Jacobi Medical Center (Consumer Reports state is the WORST HOSPITAL IN THE COUNTRY). The «top» people are so corrupt; it trickles down — and you get BAD care. I would go to a MANHATTAN HOSPITAL honestly. The nurses and other medical care are so ghetto; very BAD care.

I’ve been going here since I was a little kid, and I still go here now. The doctors are nice and helpful. they seem to genuinely care about you and your health. It is a nice environment and a welcoming to new and old comers. I miss getting lollipops everytime I would go there when I was a kid.
I used to dread getting a shot, but they are patient and no how to calm a scared/​«worried» child. I could still ask for a lollipops… sometimes I guess[I know, at the age that I am, I should be ashamed…]. I recommend coming here with your sickness and viruses. no DEADLY DISEASES, because I do not want to catch anything. comprende [lol.20% of the spanish I know].
