Food was good, But it came out Cold. And nobody came to the table to see how the food came out. I’ll come back to try more of the menu and drinks. because I liked the place and the music, & the different activities.

Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Service is bad. Management needs to work on their wait staff. Very, very bad service.

Good food. Cool staff. UNBEARABLYNOISY caused by loud talking patrons and music way above being ambient. Challenging to converse with my friends sitting right next to me. And it was a Monday night.

I’ve visited this hidden gem several times for weekend brunch, and it’s never disappointed. They have an art gallery in the back and at times host movie screenings and other functions so I’m sure coming here in the evenings would be lovely too. Always start out with the salsa and chips. Really good sauce. I must say their chicken and waffle is incredible and would recommend to everyone. While their mimosas are great, I dare say try their mojitos. I recommend you try either their coconut or mango mojitos.

The bottomless mimosas, omelet, and French toast were all amazing! Extremely relaxed and friendly environment. Would recommend for a change-of-pace brunch spot and will absolutely be back to enjoy the delicious food again!

Delicious and tasty food… and kind of shabby chic. Each of the four times I’ve come here, I’ve never been disappointed. Excellent burgers, & great salads! Today I ordered the Bronx salad, which is their take on a cob salad with blue cheese using mixed greens. It is served with balsamic dressing. My son ordered boneless bbq chicken. I only tasted a bite, but it seemed like some fried breast patty fried, and dunked in bbq sauce. We then shared an order of French fries with parmigiana cheese and truffle oil. The server was very nice, but service was only okay because he has to take care of it all. The price came to $ 48.00. + 6.00 tip. Although The food is mostly fresh, it seems expensive. Food taste: 8 Inside décor: 6.5 Service: 7 Pricing: 7

I came here because a friend needed my ear plus alcohol. And the place i was going to take her was closed. But i am glad i came here. Upon entering the music was on a hip hop station which to me was already a sign of good things to come. It was happy hour so i ordered my jamesons as they were $ 5 a shot and my friend was enjoying her wine at half price. We sat and talked the waiter came over and didnt rush us by comtinously offering the bill. We ordered the nachos which were good. And the hamburger which had mcmuffins instead of hamburger bread, that was different. I will continue to return to this place.

Whether it’s for dinner or brunch, every time I come here it feels like home. Stopped in on Sunday for brunch with my after my daughters soccer game with her, her team mate and mom. Best idea we ever had! My daughter loves the meat ball sandwich, she orders it every time we’re there, my Lorraine omelette was perfect and so were the mimosas. Always cool people here, the portions are huge, the staff always goes above and beyond and I love Rosa and Joseph’s dedication to the community. Definitely one of my faves in the Bronx.

Came here for brunch around 11:30 right after they opened. Such a great find! My friend had visited the place about 10+ yrs ago when we suggested to go there because we were in the neighborhood. 3 of us at the table order the sweet potato waffle sliders. Unbelievable! So so good! They are pretty large as well. My only complaint is that we waited a bit long for our orders and we were starving! My other friend order the special for the day– ribs florentine which she enjoyed and also came in a pretty sweet portion too! We also had coffee, which tasted nice– also nice it was served in a glass which I liked(it was also my first cup of the morning I would’ve drinker any coffee in front of me to be honest! Ha!) But I definitely want to come back in the future.

I’ve been coming to this place for a while and it’s really starting to take off. You would think that with the increased popularity especially for brunch they would increase the wait staff but that is not the case here. They have great food and drinks but that gets over shadowed by the horrible service due to the wait staff being overwhelmed. I sat down with my coworkers and we barely got one drink throughout our lunch. The only reason i had a drink in the first place was because we went ahead and got them at the bar prior to sitting. We did not get another drink until we were done with our appetizers and entrée. They did not even put down water at the table which is standard at any restaurant. They also never gave us the chips and salsa they usually give you when you dine here. A word of advice to the management, we probably would have had about 5 drinks each and desert if we would have been able to get them and if we weren’t fuming about your service. You are cutting your sales by being cheap and under staffing. Staff you’re restaurant correctly! Unit then i don’t think i’ll be back.

My favorite thing about this bar is the Atmosphere young professionals &everyone is enjoying themselves. When it comes to the food they feed you Here the portions are massive(enough for two). There best bar specials are on sundays during brunch. Been here a few times and have no complaints thus far.

So I heard that the food was great at this establishment but was never told about the service. First off the food was not great it was thrown together and very generic. There was only one waiter who turned out to be the manager. He had no inconsistent customer service. We ordered a shrimp quesadilla and sweet potato truffle fries. The quesadilla was soggy and messy, which came with guacamole and sour cream. It was barely any sour cream on it which in turn caused my sister to ask for a side of sour cream. Which brings me to the truffle fries, they had little to no cheese on them, no parm, no parsley in sight, too much truffle oil. Smh, so when I ask the waiter to put more cheese on them I didn’t even ask for the rest of the stuff that should’ve been on it to be called truffle fries in the first place. 5 mins pass then 5 more and another 5 or so. Still waiting on sour cream and cheese. We had to ask the bust boy to tell our waiter to check on it. He comes right out and the fries look the exact same way. But taste like they were reheated. Fast forward to the bill. We get a bill for $ 30 with what we ordered. No alcoholic beverages just 1 shrimp quesadilla, 1 sweet potato truffle fry, water and lemonade. Smh, as we looked over the bill we saw an extra charge for a dollar and asked the first worker we could grab to identify it and he said it was for extra dressing and we told him the sour cream was already listed with a charge and not to mention we were never told that there was an extra charge for that as well, then he asked was there anything else we asked for extra and all that came to mind was the cheese that we never got. So I told him to tell his Manger to take it off because we never got the cheese. He then walks over to our WAITER and discuss the bill and the manager waiter walks back with the revised ticket, not with the item of but reduced to a penny. Smh, will not be supporting this place again. I suggest you shouldn’t either rude and over priced.

I am truly a fan of this establishment. Been dying to try it out since I read about it a few months ago so I met my girlfriend for lunch the day after Thanksgiving — still stuffed from the day before but excited to try it out. One thing I have to say is this restaurant is very unassuming and if you didn’t know it was there you wouldn’t know as it is literally under the Third Avenue Bridge in the Bronx, but I like the quiet atmosphere and it seems to fit right in as they have gentrified this long forgotten area of the Bronx. While waiting for my girlfriend I had a drink at the bar… I ordered a White Cosmopolitan — which I have never heard of before. It consists of Vodka, Peach Schnapps and White Cranberry Juice(I’ve never heard of that before who knew?). It was VERY pretty and VERY good. It was so good that I had another. My girlfriend had two as well. The waiter brought over some nachos and salsa while I waited. The salsa was pretty good — more on the sweet side than spicy but it not bad. When my girlfriend arrived we sat at a table. I’ve read that they have some of the best burgers so that’s what I decided to have(and so did my girlfriend). I will say they burgers were very good, served on an English muffin with lettuce, tomato and pickles and you can get either fries, onion rings or a salad with it. The menu had some pretty good selections on it from lamb to hummus to salads — definitely worth checking out again. I have to say that I really like the atmosphere at this establishment. From the black and white tiled floor(which gives it a throw-back feel) to the music that they played it has a nice vibe to it. Finally I have to say that the wait staff were the most friendly I’ve ever come across. They kept checking on us and it didn’t matter that we were their customer or not they made us feel very welcome. I would encourage you to check out this hidden gem in the Bronx — it’s definitely worth the visit or a visit back which I will be doing soon.

I’ve been a regular patron for quite sometime. last night, as my colleagues arrived we totaled seven. We ate drank and even participated in Karaōke. By the end of the evening there were four different tabs, a total of $ 200.00 combined. Interestingly each tab had an automatic gratuity tax added on, totaling $ 90.00. I asked the manager why the addition he said«due to many customers not leaving a tip» there is an added gratuity fee to parties of five or more. SMH, I am looking for another place. Now that it’s the PIANODISTRICT, they are separating the black from white keys charging for seat time.

While working one day some co-workers and I came here to eat. There’s not many places to eat in this area so we tried this place. When you walk in you see some amazing pieces of art on the exposed brick walls, I fell in love ! We were seated immediately after we came in, and taken care of right away. I only ordered an appetizer thinking it was going to be some tiny tacos, appetizers are normally small and never enough… The tacos were HUGE and overflowing with pernil. It was seasoned well and delicious. It was so filling, I couldn’t order dinner, but I’m not complaining ! I will definitely come back. The service was awesome and overall a great atmosphere. We need more businesses like this in the Bronx !

I met a friend here for lunch one afternoon… unfortunately the afternoon after the FDR was shut down for investigation to the previous night’s tragic cop shooting… traffic was horrible! the food here was good — service was great. the waitress was super friendly and checked on me while i waited for my friend stuck in traffic. it’s definitely off the beaten path… in a sketchy area — but i’m glad she suggested this restaurant — it’s very good. i had the hanger steak special with yucca and mash. definitely recommend if you are down in the bronx.

3.5 Stars to be exact. Its black and white tiles give it a classic parlour look to it! Our friend just moved into the area and drove us here for a late Sunday Brunch. Even though it is not located in a major busy area, there are plenty of customers here raising their glass of mimosas. My party and I were served a complimentary colored tortilla chips with salsa. Tortilla chips were grainy yellow, red, and purple colored. Very lively looking! It is no surprised that the homemade chips are so crispy. The brunch plates we got was the Pork Belly Benedict, Chicken & Waffles, and a Breakfast Burger. Pork Belly Eggs Benedict was quite flavorful. The meat was tender. Eggs were still that perfect golden yellow gooey. Only thing I would comment is the thickness of the pork belly — it was pretty thin. Chicken & Waffles came with two pieces of fried chicken and four pieces of waffles covered with powdered sugar. A little kid’s dream come true! Waffles were on the hard side though. I love that this dish came with a really thick syrup, hot chocolate sauce, and peanut butter sauce. Not too much of a fan of the peanut butter sauce but hot chocolate and syrup is alright. Breakfast Burger patty comes between the two slices of English muffin topped with your choice of cheese, tomato, lettuce, and onions. It comes with your choice of a side — salad, onion rings, regular fries, and sweet potato fries. Get the the sweet potato fries! The English muffin made this burger a real bruncher! A very solid spot for drinks and brunch without the need to go to the city.

Came here about a week ago on a Saturday night, we came in thinking it was going to be super jam packed, but actually it wasn’t. At first we got seated right in front by the bar but there was too many people walking by our table. It felt like somebody was going to knock over our food and drinks, so we moved to a table in the back. Finally a bit more space and less traffic by our table. Started with some drinks. I got the uptown mojito and hubby got a stella. My mojito although refreshing, it was weak. So i was a bit disapointed. Food: Fried mac n chz balls = amazeballs!!! we had to order a second round. Buffalo Wings= I mean who can mess these up right? They were meaty and tasty! Chicken Quesadilla = Was awesome. Steak Au Poivre:(medium) Everything on the plate was deliciois. Steak cooked how we ordered. That sauce was goooood. Overall the food was great, service was a bit slow at times and our waitress kept forgetting lil things. We notice she was the only one that night so we gave her a pass. She was nice. We would def come back.

I didn’t think I was hungry until I walked into this bar. When I finally decided that I wanted a beer, wisely I thought, let me munch on something. I got the sliders without hesitation. And thank God I did. These sliders were DELICIOUS. They had actual pieces of meet, not a blah/meh patty. There was even overflowing meat on the sides, plenty of peppers and onions. And can I say that I was pleasantly full afterwards. Washed it down with a Blue Moon. I ate at the bar. Chris was patient with me and didn’t harass me to pay the bill till I kinda sorta eyed him and said that I was ready. Awesome atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

I came here for brunch today and had a great time. Located in the southwest corner of the Bronx right under the 3rd Avenue Bridge, Mott Haven Bar and Grill is part of the overall gentrification of this area of the borough. The restaurant itself has a very casual feel to it — mostly a black color scheme with tile floors, an impressive bar on the back wall, and large windows which add lots of brightness to the space. Their brunch menu wasn’t too big but has a nice variety of things to choose from — a good mix of classics and home-spun creations. They also had some brunch specials and for $ 10 unlimited mimosas. They started us with some corn chips and salsa, and for my meal I went with the Lorraine omelette(Swiss cheese, onion, and bacon) which came with home fries, mixed greens, and toast. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh — their coffee was good as was the mimosa. Awesome experience overall, the Bronx needs more places like this. The food, service, and atmosphere definitely make this place a go-to for me.

This is a great neighbourhood bar that has been carefully renovated and is clearly very popular with the locals. Friendly staff, a great selection of locally brewed beers and an extensive menu make it an easy choice when visiting the Bronx. I spent a couple of hours here with a friend while it was raining heavily outside. The experience was much friendlier and, of course, better value than many establishments I’ve tried in downtown Manhattan. An all round great establishment.

It’s great to have a place for drinks after work in this neighborhood. With not so many options around, Mott Haven Bar and Grill(formerly Bruckner Bar and Grill) does the trick! I went for lunch with a co-worker yesterday, and ordered an amazing shrimp ceviche for an appetizer. I had a cheeseburger as my meal, and my co-worker went for the lamb burger. The ceviche was served with tri-colored chips, and tossed with pico de gallo sans onions, avacado, and a mango sauce. I missed the red onion, but the mango-lemony sauce gave it a really great, fresh taste. Next came the cheeseburger served on an English muffin with a side of fries. I asked for a «medium» cooked burger, and it came out on the well done side. I also could’ve done without the soggy English muffin bun. The French fries, however, were delicious. Our server(s) [We had 2 because they each went on a break one after the other] were super attentive, and friendly!

I celebrated my husband’s 50th on Saturday. Mott Haven Bar & Grill went above and beyond with everything! About a month or so ago, my husband and I met with Joseph, he helped us at great length to make sure our party was a success. We told him we were having 40 people and wanted simple fare. He then provided us with a menu and out of that menu you choose 10 options. You can’t go wrong! The day of the party my hubby and I decided to get there a few minutes early just to make sure everything was going as planned. I mentioned to the guys that we didn’t need any dining tables because this was going to be a party with a Lot of dancing –so they were kind to remove any tables. The guys accommodated the party room. And little by little they were bringing in appetizers and soft drinks. DJ Razz came a just before 8 and right before our guests came in through the door, he started setting up his equipment. As the night wore on, Razz was doing his thing, the guys at Mott haven were doing their thing. They provided our guest with great finger licking food. Towards the very last end, at least 5 of our friends including my husband and me lingered for a bit at Mott Haven. My husband took care of the tab at the bar before we left. Jabi & Edwin were cool guys who really took care of us. They weren’t at all stuck up and were beyond helpful . This is a place(and we don’t mind coming from White Plains) that we are definitely going to keep if we were having another shindig — for sure! Thank you so much once again.
