Party City of the Bronx

Went there to get a Halloween costume, omg! The store had so many people you couldn’t even move! 2 employees on the floor with ALL these customers! With this kind of crowd they should really be prepared with enough staff. I got dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out! I left the store and will never go back during Halloween.

Came here to get a costume for my son. I understand a week and a half before Halloween it’s gonna be hectic, but this was ridiculous. Huge mess everywhere employees gave 0 f*cks. I went to an employee to ask for a costume. Before I can even say anything she tells me «I’m not helping anybody. Go find somebody else!».Picture someone saying this as if u spit on her face a few minutes prior. Another employee even mentioned to me how incredibly rude she was but tbh she wasn’t no better either. Wtf are you doing standing in the middle of the crowded store and not helping anyone. The way she spoke to me was enough to make me want to punch her face. Crazy long line. The employees were chatty and taking breaks with a line up and around the aisle and it shouldn’t be that crazy with 5 registers open. Will not ever come back to this ghetto excuse of a store. Go to another party city or the Kmart next door.

On Friday, July 24^th at 5pm the store was fillled with several customers. The manager on duty was incompetent and did not know how to service the crowd. Many of the staff were lazy. The check out line was down the aisle and there was one cashier open. After several complaints the manager opened another cashier but the girls obviously didnt know what they were doing. I had to tell the manager to open all cashiers and that he needed to even get on the register to ensure the lines goes faster. I was purchasing bridal shower items and 6 or 7 items on the shelf that i wanted were damaged. This store is horrible compared to the Party City on Central Ave. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

Longest shortest line. Too much chit chatting at 8:32 pm. Isn’t that closing time? Talking about «save me some food, guard the door!» No one guard the door.

I try to get most of my party needs from this location. But, lately I have to drive to the New Rochelle location to get my party supplies. Today, I stood on line for 10 minutes to buy candy for my kids. There were only two cashiers working. The lines were super long, yet other employees were to busy standing around gossiping with customers. I did manage to get my kids candy though.

Good place to buy for supplies I got my son thomas and friends theme and they had what I was looking for. Some of the employees are nice and polite bit some aren’t as nice it’s like they don’t want to work then why have a job of you don’t wanna work and earn money

It is the worst business ive ever encountered. Employees complain about customers there, talk very ghetto and treated me terrible. The person who rung me up had attitude, walked away immediately after telling me to sign the paper for my credit card transaction. She said «sign and just leave it there» and then walked away. The higher ups sounded aggitated over customers. They complained asking why people cant just buy online. The atmosphere is terribly uncomfortable. Im never going there again.

This store is not that bad. I’m always able to get what I need on a regular basis. I ensure that I shop early to avoid the crowds, especially for Halloween!!!
They’re adequately staffed and helpful. If I ever encounter different, I’ll update.

Employees are not trained well at all. The only one that had any common sense in the place was one guy printing banners in the back.
I ordered 5 balloons, 4 days prior, and i paid for them and even paid extra (15cents per balloon) to have the balloons treated with something that made them last longer than a day. I paid for it and we agreed on a time and date to pick up the balloons
I come back 4 days later on time to pick up the balloons. The 5 ballooons were not ready at all! 5! 5 balloons!!!
The cashier said oh well its not ready, can u just wait? No apologies, no explanation as to why it wasnt ready. She proceeds to ask the guy in the back printing banners to assists me. The guy had customers so obviously he cannot assist me in the way that i would have liked (getting my damn balloons on time and get the out of there)
I felt bad i had to assert myself towards the man who was actually helping customers, but i had to go and it was needed.
The man was actually apologetic about the situation, he asked the cashier how come the balloons arent ready, she replies i didnt know there were balloon orders, no one told me.
I ordered these 4 days ago!!! Its 5 ballooons!!! Another associate was forced to help me because i guess all staff was «busy» — and she gave me the balloons, i said thank you even after waiting for 20 min for my preordered balloons
I got home, surprised my 2 yr with balloons the next day! Balloons that were already on the floor, how nice, at least he still enjoyed them for his birthday
Needless to say i was jipped, i so want my money back, but i rather just stay out of this store and not deal with the cahiers any longer! Thanks for putting whatever special crap u put on balloons to make them last longer so that it would stay up and not be on the ground the next day! NOT! Smh! Hate this store
And ps if u dont like ur job, do all of us a favor and leave it!!!

Not really that bad on an off season… get ready to deal with madness for Halloween, etc.
The store is always stocked and the associates seem helpful.
Whatever, it is, what it is.

Get you supply on Monday, or you will have to wait a week.
