I took it upon myself to go out of my way and review this place because it was the worst dining experience that I’ve had in recent memory. People who eat kosher food have limited options in general — I realize that. But that doesn’t excuse my awful experience with this place. I ate there with my family on a Wednesday night a few months ago. Our food took an hour and 15 minutes to come out, despite the fact that we were one of three tables present. Our appetizers came out after 30 minutes(I think they forgot we ordered appetizers). Somehow, they even brought us the wrong drinks. Another table of people started yelling at the management in Hebrew and got up and left without paying after receiving their food. Awkward. It got even more awkward when our teenage girl waitress started crying after her manager yelled at her in the kitchen area. I felt really bad for her — like I wanted to whisk her away from this place and take her out for some ice cream or something. Like — like maybe go see a movie or something, just relax. Tell her that she should just quit, that this place wasn’t worth it. The sushi was actually pretty good. The soup? Par for the course. Everything else we ordered was mediocre at best, woefully bad on average. By the time we left, leaving a good tip for our poor waitress despite the overpriced food and inflated bill, I just felt spiteful towards the owners of this place or whoever was to blame for our experience. It pains me to think that this place will still get business just because it is located in a Jewish community that has limited options when ordering food or dining.
