Roberto Clemente State Park

The game room is a good idea and thank god for the brand spanking new playground. We’ll be back.

Eh. I haven’t visited this park in over 6 years but I can surely say the last time I went to this park was before the renovations. It was certainly odd and sketchy seeing people doing illegal things in the benches. The pool is something that I would definitely avoid since I remember it being dirty.

When it comes to certain events taking place here… it is the greatest and so much fun especially for the kids. My nephew and Godson loved this park. So much space, the pool in the summertime is great and the playground is pretty large. But agreeing with the other reviews, this park is a bit of a Beware-​Area. Before it really was dirty, but the last few times we’ve been there it has been cleaner, but I doubt it will last. The exact problems are the sketchy people that hang here, sometimes people smoking weed out in the open in front of kids talking about «being about that life» in the daylight… Girls from the area meeting other girls here to fight over nonsense and once again IN FRONT OF KIDS. It’s disgusting. I can no longer jog there in the morning and some days refuse the kids from visiting here. I’m not going to imply that the River Park Tower residents are the only issue causing the problems in this park because now the new building on/​or around Cedar is also attracting weird people to the park. SmH. I hope they see or are able to change something so they can quit polluting it.
It is the closest park to us and the reason they get 3 stars, is once all that is removed from the equation. The park is really enjoyable… but our guards will always be up. I suggest the same if your considering.

This park is garbage aka basura for my Spanish speaking peeps. This park is super dirty. I don’t like it but it’s the only one around where I used to jog at prior to my surgery. There are always sketchy looking people sitting by the benches towards the back doing shady stuff. It is definitely not the kind of park you go to after dark.

This is a state park but its not one of the better NY state Parks, but serves a purpose for the community. The element surrounding the park is a very poor, high crime area. They have activites for the KIDS which is a plus. GOOD for scheduled activities, bad for high crime area.
