I don’t like pizza but I like this pizza! Every time my out out of town friends come to visit they know to ask for a slice here and they are not let down. The folks who work here are great and I actually prefer to pick up my order and say hello.

this place is not bad, pizza always tastes good, the kitchen food is edible, the only negative is that the owners have an attitude sometimes, if your going to deal with the public, then learn to relax.

This authentic pizza place is the epitome of what a New York style pizza should be. Their pizza is simply crafted in a timely manner that demonstrates the exquisiteness this place has to offer. I have been coming here for many years and I can definitely attest to how much detail and effort they put into making their food. I highly recommend their chicken and tomato pizza which they usually have already made and ready to serve. It’s definitely a must try for anyone new in the area.

One of the best New York style pizza I have ever tried. I tried the chicken as well as the tomato one. Both were delicious and one slice was enough to fill me up. I’m glad I bought it by slice and not the whole pie. I saw the guy making the pizza from scratch including the dough, it was amazing. I have had their calzones, they are worth every bite and calorie. I even froze a few of them, had it a few days later and it still tasted great. The staff is really friendly and the cost is reasonable as well.

Hands down the best Sicilian pizza anywhere. I know they have a very big menu but in 30 years I don’t remember eating anything else. Their Sicilian is that good. The pizza is very thick with an incredible sauce and plenty of cheese. Family owned you will always find one of the brothers behind the counter making pies. Just go if you like Sicilian. You won’t be disappointed.

Love Sorrentos! Neighborhood favorite. Sicilian pizzas here are delicious but don’t sleep on their chicken fingers or calzones I’ve been going there for a few years and will have to dismiss a previous review as a misunderstanding because all the guys who work there are gentlemen. When I pick up they are always accommodating. I never felt treated differently or imperfectly for being hispanic so I was surprised to read those comments. My last delivery was on time and fresh. Love this place and there’s plenty of seats.

What i love about this place is that, everything here is fresh. Starting from the dough to the sauce to the everything and it taste’s amazing. Ignore any one star review you encounter on the reviewing list as they have no idea what there talking about. This is one of the greatest place’s to grab a pizza slice. There costumer service is pretty good as well. Overall great experience! Totally recommend this place!

TL;DR version: The food is delicious, but one of the employees went on a loud, illogical, hate-filled racist rant in the middle of the shop. We won’t be going back. It began as some of the most amazing pizza I have ever had in New York City. This spot was suggested by some lifelong New Yorkers. Unfortunately, it was quickly overshadowed by a horrible employee and a manager who couldn’t care less. An older gentleman working as a busboy engaged a young white man(his race is important to the rest of the story) on politics but the conversation quickly devolved into the busboy making a flurry of hateful, ignorant, and exceedingly racist comments. I do not write this to get this man fired. Have your racist and ignorant opinions but understand that it is unacceptable to unleash them during your work hours in a restaurant filled with diverse people. The busboy was speaking with a young white man, I was there with a friend and we are both latino, and just minutes before the restaurant was full of young kids of all ethnicities. This man called folks of African descent«savages,» Latinos are«barbarians,» and he told the young man they need to keep Italian and French heritage pure or else everyone will just be «beige.» Instead of engaging the busboy in what would obviously have been a pointless argument(since I am a barbarian), I told his manager that this behavior was unacceptable and that their inaction has caused them to lose us, our families, and our friends as customers. The manager was disinterested. He didn’t stop his employee and he didn’t offer us any condolence that he would even speak to the busboy regarding his behavior. This is a restaurant in the Bronx, in New York City, one of the most diverse places in the country. I would hope that this manager and this owner at least understand that offending your customers with ignorant and racist remarks will hurt your business(this includes white customers as the young white man was very bothered by all of this). I hope these folks explain to their busboy that being a racist jerk is inappropriate during work hours. I’m never going back. P. S. Your busboy said«Americans built America.» Italians were discriminated against as immigrants too, tell him to pick up a damn book sometime.

This pizza was really good considering the place. We got the plain, it was great. The people there got the Sicilian corner slice. Everyone raves about it, but we did not know(we were doofuses) and got the plain. The service was average, and although I enjoyed the pizza I only gave it four stars because I got bloated afterwards.

I remember coming here in elementary school, and now that I’m an adult, coming to Sorrento is still such a pleasant experience. Great pizza and great customer service. What more could I ask for?

Guy who took my order looked like he wanted to kill me as soon as I walked in the door. Sicilian was good. Chicken Parmesan Sandwich is what you’d expect.

Very good pizza! I’ve never been to Italy, but this is what I imagine real Italian pizza to taste like. Amazing sauce, fresh cheese, and perfectly baked crust. The guys who work there are also really nice and friendly. I live in the area and go here a lot. Highly recommended!

I tried them for the first time this week. I ordered a meatball pie. Our pie may have been an anomaly, but they were quite generous with the cheese. Seriously generous. You may want to grind that beano into a fine powder and snort to ensure quick and adequate uptake. Four stars, totally satisfied.

Unless you’re planning a trip to Sicily in the near future, Sorrentos is the ABSOLUTEBEST Sicilian pizza you’ll ever have. Hands down freshest gravy, dough, and cheese you can find in New York.

Terrible experience trying to get a delivery. The phone guy got mad cause he demand to know in how many slices we want the pie, ridiculos. Sudenly start screaming to my wife in an unrespectful and cowardly manners behind the phone, and finally hangout . So sad this kind of aptitude happens in a well name pizza place wich we love. I never going to call again, thanks to great ny, we have choices

Thinly sliced, fresh tomato sauce and delicious pies are served here. The grandma slice is tomatoey, cheesy and semolina breaded perfection. Turnaround is fast in fresh pies because this place has a steady stream of pizza heads coming in and out. Do yourself a flavor and get a Sicilian slice. Best tasting Bronx pizza in the area.

Real NYC pizza here. Thin sliced, real cheese, semolina crust. When we have a pizza party at the office/medical center, this is our go to place. It can get crazy busy in the afternoon, so be clear when you place a phone order and check your order before you head out. This is not a large venue but they are always busy, the kind of pizza joint that makes pies all day long and the delicious aroma wafts through the neighborhood. It can quickly get packed inside as passers by are entranced from blocks away by the aroma of pizza pulling at ones nostrils with the Bugs Bunnyesque fragrant fog fingers, until you find yourself at the doorstep, stomach growling, wallet in hand.
