I was introduced to this place through my Yankees crew but they all come to this place cause of one person, Orga! She is amazing. Her enthusiasm is contagious that i bring everyone i know. She makes us feel like family and always gives us the low down on specials if there are any. Its a dive place but reasonable prices compared to Dug out and Billys.

Do not consume food from here! Went in to grab some food and beer. We were told only had beers, freezer/fridge is broken but they have pizza. A few minutes later they have some chicken they can make for us. Thanks but no thanks. How are you keeping any food cold if fridge/freezer is not working? Once again only go for the beer buckets, if you even come. It has a ripe cheese odor to add to the experience. To me it isn’t even worth trucking over to, unless there are no other options.

A Yankee Stadium area institution. If you want to avoid huge crowds at Stan’s or one of the other watering holes in the area, head here. Buckets of cold beer, 5 for $ 20 can’t be beat. A large slice of pizza for $ 3. They had been closed for a while but are back & better than ever. Stopped in with a buddy before yesterday’s game. Place wasn’t crowded. Beer & pizza at a fraction of what you pay inside the stadium. I will definitely be back next time.

I’ve been here a handful of times before Yankee games and it is a solid 2-star place. They do buckets of beer for what I would call normal prices, I wouldn’t say cheap, but you can spend a ton more in this part of town. The staff is pretty friendly for the most part. I’ve had more conversations with a couple of the ladies that work there than the men and the staff seems to be older for the most part. During my last visit I ordered 3 slices of pepperoni pizza off a small food menu(might have been a happy hour menu) for $ 4.00. I ordered specifically in Spanish, 3 slice of pizza, the $ 4 ones. The guy either was surprised that I spoke Spanish or didn’t buy it and was trying to charge me more than $ 4.00, I’m guessing for a cheese slice plus added pepperoni. I grabbed the menu and showed him, and he said they were out of pepperoni, so I said to make it without and charge me the same thing! The guy kept smiling and laughing, as if he couldn’t believe I knew what was going on(all in Spanish). So I asked him if all their pepperoni pizza was pre-made(sarcastically), and finally just pointed to the plain cheese slices on the menu for about $ 3 and told him I’ll just take 3 of those then. So he pops his head in the food window and lo and behold, they have pepperoni and I can have my original order. What a pain in the ass. The food itself was ok, $ 4 for a slice close to Yankee Stadium isn’t too bad, but taste-wise the pizza is about a 99 cent slice. After a game when you’re hammered and starving though… Cash only, which automatically gets a downvote from me. Jukebox is cool, no one seems to bat an eye if you load it with Metallica and Pantera, which is a slight change from the usual spanish music that is on. Despite the two stars, I still do frequent this place, pretty much before/after every Yankees game I go to. It’s not great, it’s not awful, it’s somewhat of a tradition to visit this place with my buddy’s, and there aren’t many options in the area.

Forget Stan’s and all the other frat-town brofest bars in Yankee-land. This is as good as it gets. Cheap beer? Check. Friendly, welcoming staff? Check. Rumors of said staff being EXTRA friendly and welcoming? Check. You cannot beat this place if you’re in the market for some pre-game fun. It’s always a good time and the beer is always flowing. Since discovering this oasis several years ago in a desert of popped collars and bud light chugging blowhards I haven’t even thought of venturing elsewhere before a game. Stadium Pizza, you are a local legend. Never change! Note: I cannot speak to the food. I’ve never really considered trying it as spending the 4th inning and beyond with botulism doesn’t appeal to me much. If you want food, grab some garlic fries in the Stadium. Stick to the buckets of beer here and you can’t go wrong.

Went here a maybe 6 or more years ago. The piazza was AMAZINGTHEN. we went there just last night for the Yankee game and the place was totally different. It didn’t look like a pizza place. the tables were sticky and when we first got the pizza it was doughy. We though it wasn’t cooked enough. we asked then to take it back, thinking that maybe if we had it cooked more it will be better. It was still doughy and the cheese was not real cheese. We were looking forward to having the same pizza we had last time but it was totally different.

Told ya… But still a great place for some brews before a game!

Every time I pass by on River Ave, someone is handing out cards advertising beers 3 for $ 10, and I can’t hate on a place that has the cheapest beers next to a baseball stadium. Went there once in July 2009 with a first-time visitor to the Stadium. It was my first time at this place. We were there around 11AM(for a 1PM midweek game), so the place was understandably empty. The waitress was English-deficient. I know this is the South Bronx, but if I ran a restraunt three blocks from Yankee Stadium, I’d make sure I hired someone who could more easily communicate with my targeted customers. I ordered a cheeseburger. It was horrible. The meat(god, I hope it was meat) was dry. I asked for mayonnaise and they gave me two off-brand packets. I put it on my burger, and the mayo was so clear it looked like someone jizzed on it. I was so disgusted I stopped eating after that. My friend ordered a Cuban sandwich and he said it was pretty good. I don’t have standards for Cuban sandwiches, so I’ll take his word for it. I would have to give this place another visit(and try their Cuban sandwiches) before I can give a more definitive review. But for now, this place gets one star for serving cheap beers and another for supposedly having good Cuban sandwiches.
