I’m usually not one to leave reviews, but I’m sitting here after getting home from this place & I just had to. My girlfriend recommended this place & let me just say she is SUPER picky with her nails & since she loves them I figured let me give it a shot. When I walked in everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Their selection of OPI& Essie is awesome & I found a color I loved. My pedi first: I wasn’t super excited about her not going in on my feet. She barely even touched my cuticles & barely buffed at the end. But after polishing my feet look pretty decent & I didn’t make a big deal of it. Now, my nails I have been doing my nails for YEARS. So I know more or less what to expect and what my nails should/shouldn’t look like. The man was very pleasant and sweet, but he began putting the acrylic & I was like oh no. He put so much acrylic on that I already knew they would come out thick. I told him I didn’t want them too squared(they have pictures on the wall and so I showed him what I wanted) he said no problem and continued doing his thing. Afterward I pointed out two spots that didn’t have nail or acrylic on them and he began to explain the different size tips he had to use– I told him I understood, but j def shouldn’t have any gaps as it can cause water to go in and look to fungus– again, I’ve been doing this a long time. He went ahead and added more acrylic and passed the machine over it and didn’t file– what?! THEN he began to polish without taking the dust off from the machine on my finger — - WHAT? I politely asked to him to please wipe my fingers off before putting on the nail polish. He applied the polish 3 times(I forgot to mention so did the lady for my pedi) & that’s fine considering it’s a light color, but there’s def a way to apply polish without making it look like clumps of clay on your fingers. I dried my nails and the more I looked at them the more frustrated I became. They began cleaning because it was closing time for them & I felt like I had to leave. Oh, && the lady next to me wasn’t so happy with her mani & pedi either! Again, they were all very nice & welcoming, but I highly doubt I’ll be back there.

Nice place. First time here. I got a spa pedicure for $ 35 bucks and thank God it wasn’t busy because they took their time. The name of the business is Jadeite Nails. They are open until 7pm on a Sunday. God bless the employees of this business.

I’m pretty positive the name of this salon is now called«Jadeite Nail Salon» instead of Sunshine Nails. Same phone number and I think the same people working there, just a simple name change. Let me start off by saying there are quite a few nail salons in the area, but after reading reviews I decided to give this place a try since it was closer to my apartment building. I’m happy I did, let me tell you why. The price for an Acrylic Fill is only $ 15.00 and they do a pretty decent job. I had to give them an extra star because they have the most AMAZING selection of Essie colors I have seen in the area, and that makes me oh so happy. They take their time with your nails, making sure they’re all even which is fab. They also file, shape and buff your nails with hand tools instead of using the machine which I prefer. If you’re in the mood they have a good selection of pedicure services, which start at $ 15.00. If you want a simple cleaning of the feet or a more lavish service, they have the options. The only thing that stood out to me was the fact they charge an extra $ 1 for their fast dry topcoat but it’s worth it so I do it.

I’ve finally found a place that did my nails beautifully and didn’t charge me an arm & a leg. I was truly happy with my nails. I got a new set of acrylic tips $ 20(fair price). They have a large selection of Essie nail polishes, which I love. A man did my nails. Another person on Unilocal complained about a man that did her nails. I don’t know if it was a different man or the same one who did my nails but he must have improved since then because I loved my nails. The place was clean, comfortable & the staff was very welcoming. I also got a pedicure which was $ 15(fair price). They did a good job cleaning up my toes but I saw someone getting the bottom of their feet scrapped with a metal foot file, which is what I wanted but that was extra(maybe next time). They also have Massage chairs which was great! The woman who did my feet also gave me a little massage while my feet where drying. Cool! Overall, I had a great experience. I will be going back & I highly recommend this place.

Super clean! Super Nice! They take their time with you and you never feel like your being rushed. I brought my son with me and they loved him, and it was very accommodating. And their spa deals are the best that I’ve have seen in NYC, let alone the Bronx Just don’t drive here, the parking is horrible. And the ppl in the area are super rude. But that’s no fault of the shop.

I love my nails. First time doing them in this place and I’m happy. Very welcoming and friendly unlike the other nail salons in the area. Cozy warm place.

Good job, great price! Neighborhood places are usually not as good as in the city. But the ladies here are great and prices are great too! $ 6 for a mani!

This place is really worth the money. They are affordable, have an acute attention to detail, very accommodating, and their work is amazing. Very clean. They also use quality nail products. Not the cheap stuff. This is my new nail salon. Kelly is amazing at acrylic. Best pedicure I’ve had in a very long time

Even though there are so many nails salons around here, I like this place best. They are always friendly. I walked in for the first time and they greeted me like I was a regular. They do a quality job. They also have good and cheap spa pedicures. And they’re never too busy. Some other salons are packed and you’ll be waiting forever. This place has a nice pace.

They lost a customer — 2 months ago came here to put on tips the male manicurist decided he’ll do them, well He did a horrible job! — they were uneven, too wide and just terrible in my opinion. I went to my usual spot on Westchester Sq, and got them fixed. Yesterday I took my daughter to Sunshine for mother’s day for a pedicure. He remembered me and was so excited that my nails grew nicely. So I let him take off the tips. HEDID A HORRIBLEJOBAGAIN! I grew my nails out for nothing, he cut them too short and uneven again! Definitely not going back at all! He was nasty about it too! My daughter could have done a better job! ANDDEFINITELYOVERPRICEFORHISSERVICES!

Very kind and the techs I’ve had do a great job on simple mani/pedis. $ 6 for manicures, $ 15 for pedicures, and $ 20 for both.

Got my brows done. The woman who worked on me was fastidious and did a great job. I recommend.
