The Bronx Zoo

Beautiful zoo, extremely well put together with an immense amount to see and do. We want on a rather sparsely attended day in early December and really enjoyed our brief meander through the zoo. A bonus is it’s close proximity to the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) so you really can make a day of your visit to the Bronx, perhaps head to Arthur Avenue afterwards for an awesome Italian meal.

The best zoo I’ve ever been too. I went with my fiancé and my parents, and the four of us had an amazing experience. We bought tickets online and saved money through a promo code, so always do your research. We bought total experience passes and wow, it was just incredible. The animals are lovely, some of them have amazing habitats and exhibits created. None of the animals seemed unhappy, I’m not sure why there is so much negativity coming from random people. The zoo is a wonderful opportunity to see wild animals that average people don’t even know they exist! To sum up our awe of the animals, we spent more than 30 minutes looking at the gorillas. My favorites were the monkeys and lemurs from Madagascar. The cutest animal had to be the red panda. This zoo is an amazing place, take your entire family! I loved it, truly a place for animal lovers.
Also, I read reviews that it’s best to pack your own lunch and beverages. I’m glad I did my research. Don’t get me wrong, there are many areas serving food, ice cream, and beverages … But the prices were high (as expected). You can bring a cooler and leave it in the car.

Absolutely amazing! I plan to visit the Bronx Zoo whenever I can again. The variety of species there is unbelievable. It literally is a whole day affair if you plan to see most of what’s on offer.
While the animals and different trails are great attractions, the experience is also informative and educating as so much facts related to different species are presented to the visitor to read either on plaques or as part wall décor. Be sure to experience the Skyfari as well. It’s simply incredible.
