my girlfriend is from the bronx and she told me of this store when we went to her mom who lives 5 minutes aways so we decided to go one day and it was late evening it was a defenite wait but i liked it … the organization of how they take the customers orders and they have a ticket system and they give one on one customer service. the value of their meats are amazing it does not ever have foul oder of spoiled meat, never discolored. Nothing like the meats like my local supermarkets. I travel from bed sty brooklyn to mott haven are of the bronx just for their meats and i have taken the time out to search for other meat markets in brooklyn and they is no comparision I travel there as much as possible because I refuse to buy my meats from anywhere else
I wish they had a website where I can order in advance…

I love this place. all the staff is efficient and friendly. the price of the meat is not too bad compare to the supermarkets around the area and in this place you know what are you buying because you choose and pick you meat, unlike the supermarkets.

This was my first time at the meat market, and I must say it was very organized and clean. The wait time was a little longer than I expected, but the customer service experience was great. The quality of product was amazing and I would definitely recommend this to anybody.

The original location is on 448 E 149^th St the other location across the street and down the block on the opposite side has the same name but is smaller and is considered the second part of the same store thus it is named The Butcher’s Choice Meat Market II at 427 East 149^th Street. The number of that store is 718 665‑5556
I go here over many closer meat markets because:
*The meat is always fresh (no brown meat, buzzing flies or rank smells here)
*They have about 30 different pre-​priced «family plans» which you can substitute items on here and there without a hassle
*Each butcher is patient and LISTENS to how you’d like your cuts of meat
*They use a ticket system to avoid confusing orders or customer frustration when the place gets packed
*They work as quickly as possible.
* You can fax ahead your order 718 292‑3565
*The accept cash, charge/​debit and EBT (food stamp) cards
* They don’t mind throwing in a few extra food storage bags to help you repackage all da stuff you just brought in bulk.
*They have a life sized cow statue to amuse the kids while you wait (main location)
All in all, it is definitely worth a visit! I love the place!
TRANSPORTATION is easy as it’s located near many train and bus lines including the BX 19 and the 4 train.
Street parking or nearby hourly lot parking are your options
