Spent $ 90 for the absolute worst hairstyle of my life. I was going to a formal event and the stylist left my hair very bumpy and frizzy looking. When I asked her to fix it she was very snotty and sprayed it in hairspray… which made it even worse! I would never step foot in the salon again. Overpriced and extremely rude, lazy workers.

Wanted to do something special for my wife, so I booked an appointment for her to get her hair done, I inquired about prices for styling and received a price but when my wife was finished the price went up. I do not mind spending money however, I was not happy to be quoted one price and charged another. The blow dry was not worth the price, it came out very frizzy looking and my wife was very disappointed. Needless to say we will not be going back to this establishment.

I was so excited to come here before my bridal shower. I will never go back. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment. My stylist was in the chair getting her hair done and when she realized she had to get up and start working she was clearly not happy about it. I asked for one of the ‘mane attractions’ and was rudely told it would cost extra and that she didn’t have time for it (when the menu lists them all for $ 40). Through word of mouth I heard great things and have recommended this place to numerous people. I will never recommend it to anyone else nor will I ever go back. Very disappointing experience.

I’m new to the area and had a wedding that I wanted my hair done for. I recently cut my hair shoulder length so wanted a blow out with some beachy waves/​curls. I was about 10 minutes late due to traffic and the staff was very understanding. Cellina was my stylist and very sweet and professional. I showed her a few pics of what I wanted and she listened and was attentive. I was able to have a blowout and style with curling iron in 40 minutes from start to finish while still taking her time with me and making sure I was happy. Overall, great first experience and will definitely be back to see Cellina for more special occasions!

Just got my hair done by Autumn and must say I’m happy with the services. She gave my hair lots of body.

I stumbled upon this place on Living Social and decided to take my girlfriend there before we headed out on the town for a little Bachlorette — type night.
I called ahead of time and the voice on the other end was cheerful and helpful. She was able to let me know when appointments were available and schedule both of us at the same time.
I arrived almost 10 minutes late because I was coming from over an hour away. The ladies in the shop were very understanding and still had time for us. Everyone was professional and all of the ladies were styled beautifully — full makeup, nice hair-do’s and dressed up. The place itself was pretty — well lit and the furniture was really nice. There were big mirrors too. I loved the fact that when they washed your hair, there was a little footrest when you tilted back. Nice touch!
All in all, we were out in about 30 minutes start to finish. We both got some nice, loose curls and they stayed throughout the evening. We felt like a million dollars when we left. All in all, a good job by professional women in a relaxing environment. There is a public parking lot directly across the street, which made it easy to get in and out.

Went for a blow out today. I was really excited to find a «blow bar» in westchester. I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews but I always like to try things out for myself. My overall experience was great. Everyone that works there is extremely polite. Christina did my hair and she did a great job, she knew I had a wedding so she took care to make sure my hair would still look good in a few hours. It’s very convenient and such a cute place.

This is my first blowout. But I have to say that is it now what I expected. I was not thrilled with the blow-​out – I actually washed my hair as soon as I got home and styled myself. The stylist was nice enough but the overall vibe made me feel like I was in the movie mean girls. And they need better ventilation. The air is suffocatingly (not a true word, but you get my point) thick with all the product flying around. Stay away if you are asthmatic!

What horrible customer service. A friend and I were coming from make up appointments that ran late (out of our control). I called the salon to let them know we were running late. The reply was, «well can you get here as fast as you can because if you’re more than 10 minutes late we won’t take you.» I understand being late for an appointment, but her tone of voice and word choice was incredibly rude. We unfortunately hit some traffic and were 20 minutes late. When we asked if there was any chance they would take us, they said «we called you and told you if you were more than 10 minutes late you wouldn’t be seen.» 1) I called them. 2) there were maybe two or three people getting blowouts. They were incredibly rude and belittling in their tone of voice. We went to the salon around the corner, that was busier than Blow and Beyond, completely booked, and they even managed to squeeze us in.

Had a great experience from start to finish. Professional, welcoming and talented staff. I came in for a blow out which not only looked amazing, it actually lasted me into three days. I came in on a recommendation, and will now be a regular, as I purchased a 3 pack. Convenient parking across the street is also a plus.

Ive been a customer since they opened, although not a regular as some other clients. I can definitely tell the difference in the way the staff treats the regulars vs non-​regulars.
The receptionist during peak holiday was flat out rude and treated me as thought I was an imposition. Was i late, yes. could they have treated me in a more professional manner — absolutely.
they really need to have a serious attitude adjustment if they want to last in this town — there are many other options in town (Continental) or in neighboring towns (Plush)

Low quality hair products used, pretty low quality blow out.
I booked an appointment for a blow dry and it started 20 min late. The girl that worked there was not very friendly, our conversation was so forced by her, she was struggling to be nice. … and she seemed over worked and tired, her appearance was shabby and her hair was not done at all. I should have trusted my gut and left right when I saw her. Would you go to a dentist with rotten teeth? Or a fat personal trainer? NOOOOO, So why would you want to get done up by someone who doesn’t care about their own appearance? The energy of the place was very off. At one point another stylist walked into the salon, did not even speak or acknowledge me and just started doing my hair along with the original girl doing my hair. It was awkward. And my hair ended up looking a bit awkward.
I was told it would be an additional $ 20 if she had to use a curling iron on my hair… an additional $ 20!!! That’s ridiculous. I left with an ok blow out and overall C+ experience. I would not recommend this place to friends or family. There were chunks of hair at the back of my head that were not even blown out that I only noticed when I got home and my sister pointed it out. I had to straighten them myself… not what you want to be doing after just getting your hair did.
Go somewhere else!!! Curling iron use, drinks and A+ friendly experience all included in the $ 40 blow out at dry bar or dream dry instead…
Blow and beyond is trying to be high end but is really falling short. They need more staff and better trained hair stylists.

Excellent service and products! The ladies that own the shop are fantastic, warm, friendly, and sweet human beings! It was a great find and my sisters and I had a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back again (and again)!

Literally just got my hair done and it’s so beautifully blown out! Kayleigh the girl who washed my hair went to high school with me so it was great to catch up! And Sam did an amazing job blow drying and styling I’m from yonkers but ill definitely be back!

Omg how excited am I that there is a blow dry bar literally 4 blocks away from my house?!! This place is a girls’ girls’ place. Very chic and the chandelier is pretty. Right across the street from an easy accessible parking lot. Taylor did my hair. I was going to a wedding and within 45 mins magic! She pinned my hair and blow dried with 6 different brushes. My hair still had volume at 2am when the wedding was over! Oh and they have a mimosa special on Sunday when you have your hair blow dried.

I absolutely love coming here! I have been her 3 – 4 different times and each time have left feeling beautiful! When they take you in the back for your shampoo, you actually sit in a chair that reclines, which is very nice. I’ve been to a few of the stylists and each one has been very attentive and nice. The product they use is great and my blow out will usually last me a few days! Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!

I have been to blow and beyond 3 times. Every time i went the owner Christina put in my clip ins. I loved it every time! She is young sweet and has an amazing talent! Not once did I feel any of these women were rude! Every time my hair was blown out from blow and beyond I received many compliments! Thank you!!!

i just got my hair done here and they are such sweet people and asked if i wanted anything to drink as soon as i walked in! my hair looks amazing and the prices are so affordable! i am deffinitly going backk! going to tell so many people how good this place was!!!

But I left looking worse than when I came in. I have a very expensive great haircut. The products they use to shampoo and condition are cheap. The blow out was awful. Again cheap damaging products. I left my hair was frizzy, dull and I looked OLD. I had a party to go to. I left, got to the corner saw my reflection in a window and was in tears. $ 40 plus a $ 5 tip gone, plus horrible hair!!! I walked across the street to another salon, in tears, told them what happened… they took me right away… wash, condition, beautiful blow out… FREE! They felt so bad about my experience and how bad I looked… I’m going right to their Unilocal page… they know a bit about haurcare, good products and customer satisfaction… they also charge $ 40 for a blowout… but it’s worth it… sorry Sam. Good luck in Radiology School.

I’m disappointed. I had booked an appointment for a wash and blow dry several weeks in advance only for the stylist to treat me like I was inconveniencing her tremendously. I’ve been to to Plush Blow in Scarsdale several times — even as a walk-​in — and I have never been treated like what I wanted didn’t matter. «Do you want movement in the ends?» was the only question asked. When I asked what options on the menu would look good and take the least amount of time, my stylist responded, «We only have you in for 30 minutes, so we’re just going to give you a regular blow.» At Plush, if you tell them that you want a Vava Voom or a Pin-​Up or a regular blow, the response is always the same: «Ok.» ESPECIALLY when I call them a month in advance to book a «blow dry».
If these people want repeat, GOOD business, they’d better cut the attitude and explain the nuances of their services a little better. Otherwise, I’m going to go to their competitors a few miles away.
