Not just horrible, but also dangerous. We bought a top-of-the-line ADT system for our new house 9 years ago. We had numerous problems with false alarms that they were unable to fix despite a half dozen visits. Ultimately their technician«solved» the problem by simply disconnecting the smoke detector that was going off all the time. It remains disconnected to this day. Last night, the carbon monoxide alarm went off because of a legitimate threat. Our house was full of CO. ADT was nowhere to be found. They didn’t call to see if we were OK, nor did they call the fire department. If we hadn’t woken up on our own, I might not be writing this review today. I had to call 911 myself. I couldn’t get the alarm to silence, so I called their 800 number — I got a message about an «unusually high call volume» and spent 30MINUTES on hold with their emergency number before someone answered the phone. The agent wasn’t able to turn the alarm off(I ultimately had to pull the plug), nor could he adequately explain why they didn’t call to check on us. He said they never received notification about the alarm, despite the fact that we have redundancy built into the system via an installed cell phone that is supposed to call for help when our land line is down. Between the initial installation and years of monthly fees, we have paid nearly $ 8,000 to ADT. In return, all we have received are headaches and a false sense of security.

We have had issues in the past with adt but they worked with us to resolve those issues.
