Definitely your roadside Bar & Grill type establishment. Not a fancy place as is evident by a parking lot full of pick-up trucks. All the reviews talked about how good the wings are, so I had to try them. In fact, I ordered 20 wings, just so I could try 2 different flavors. The sauces choices are abundant and difficult to choose from. I had to ask the waitress for some suggestions. She suggested Al’s Concoction and a super secret sauce that wasn’t even on the menu, called Candlewood something or another. So I went with the two suggestions. I was very surprised to find that the wings were breaded. This is the first place I have ever been to in the Northeast where the wings come breaded. Of course, this is the norm if you are in the South. It never occurred to me that i would have to order the wings naked being in CT. So, although the wings were very unexpected in terms of preparation, they were cooked perfectly for what they were. The sauces were tasting with spice that was not over powering for the masses. I am more of a traditional wing person and expect the wings to be non-breaded and nicely fried. So although the flavor and cooking of the wings were good, this is not something I would order again. That said, I only had 5 wings left over to bring home.(Which I cut up and put into my omelet for breakfast the next day.) They had several craft beers on the menu, however they were out of the IPA that I ordered. Fortunately, they had another IPA on tap that was very good. I cannot remember the name, but I had 3 of them, so I must have liked it. It is a nice casual atmosphere with good service. I can see myself back here, but eating something other than the wings.

Best wings in Western Connecticut. No question. It’s not a fancy place and the food(other than absolutely delicious wings) can be inconsistent. One day the ribs are like nothing you have had before and the next day they are meh. Service has never been an issue with me. Ambiance — well… indoor picnic tables. I am not sure that’s a bad thing: It helps them keep their prices very reasonable. Bar — standard beer. They could do with introducing some popular craft beers such as Two Roads. I will go here everyday if they start carrying Two Roads. That said — come here for the wings which are always mind blowing. There’s a lot of variety and best of all, they take your suggestions on flavors. The hottest wing flavor is a true challenge for the likes of Genghis Khan — it’s the Liquid Hot Magma and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

We arrived last night night around 8 o’clock. There were only three tables to be served and each table was waiting at least 45 minutes to be served. The service was horrible. Very very slow and the food was subpar. Our nachos finally arrived and they were barely warm. When we finally paid the bill the bartender and waitress couldn’t even get the change right. First time there and only time there will never go back.

My girlfriends and I decided to hop on our bikes and take a ride to Candlewood Lake. We happened upon this place in our travels as we were all hungry. I have to say the service was great, we sat at a table in the bar area and the bartender waited on us, she was great! It was not very busy but people were in and out picking up takeout. I ordered a side tossed salad and some garlic parm wings. The salad was fresh and he wings were meaty and tasty. I would say the food is pretty average for the type of place. My only complaint is that they could most definitely take more care in the cleanliness. I have a pet peeve about dirty menus, it doesn’t take much time to wipe down the menus every evening and these menus clearly were not cleaned in a very long time, it actually almost made me leave. I was a waitress and bartender through college and many years after on a part time basis so I do know a little about cleaning a restaurant. Additionally, the bathroom was not up to par either. In fact, the whole place appeared to need a good cleaning. Obviously I did not get to go in the kitchen but with the rest of the place being a bit dirty makes me wonder. Nice people, decent food, but I don’t know that I would go back again due to the lack of cleanliness. Hopefully just some constructive criticism here. I don’t like to give bad reviews but cleanliness is so important when you are serving food.

It’s a shame that this place cannot get decent waitstaff and help as their food has been good the several times I’ve gone there. A couple mishaps here and there, but generally decent food, but terrible awful service. There is one decent waitress in the whole place, and it’s definitely not the one behind the bar. I would definitely recommend trying their wings because they are pretty good, but for the service I’d say stick to take out! And if you plan on going for wing night plan on parking about a half mile down the street and walking…

I can easily say I just completed the worst dining experience of my life. The bartender was inattentive. They were allowing for someone’s child to run rampant throughout the bar. Those were minor annoyances that only harshened the culinary nightmare that was my lunch. To start, my father and I split an order of their NY Pretzels. When we asked about the dish, it was described as just like a ball park pretzel. What came was a once frozen pub style pretzel, about the third of the size of a ball park pretzel. The thing was warmed and absolutely drenched with oil. The cheese, which they were going to charge a dollar for, came out and it was all separated. When mixed, it was all congealed and tasted horrible. I did not finish my pretzel as it was immensely unappetizing. What followed was the Al’s Almost Famous Pulled Pork Sandwich, except it was missing the key ingredient that makes it almost famous — the chili. I waited another 5 minutes or so for the chili and when i could finally dig into my complete sandwich, I discovered that the bread was hard as a rock. I decided to eat just the filling, and discovered the driest pulled pork I’ve ever had. Absolutely nasty. I probably wouldn’t have written this review if my complaints to my server weren’t met with sighs and eye rolls.

Heard the wings were great… but they ran out of them! Sunday afternoon at 4pm! Staff us friendly but we had to go up to the bar to get drinks, ask fir check, etc while 3 on duty stood talking to each other. Also, tables were dirty. That said, seems like a good neighborhood place, but…

Best wings in the greater Danbury area, hands down. Tons of different flavors and the wings themselves are massive.

The wings are really good because they are crispy. The place is big and has plenty of seating. The bar setting is nice, and they have many specials for game nights, weekdays, etc. The only thing I have to complain about is customer service. I walked in and no one greeted me. I had to find the waiter or waitress… and this has happened to me the multiple times I dined there. I would definitely try there wings if you are in the area. They do takeout and their website has all the flavors listed.

Best wings in the area!!! This is a great place to hang out with the family or with friends– separate areas for the bar and dining… Many tv’s for The games! Their wings are big and juicy! Tons of flavored… Personal faves are dry rub, jerk, honey hot, orange ginger glaze… My daughters love the honey BBQ. They have a great menu besides wings including pulled pork, burgers, some great appetizers! Don’t miss Brookfield’s hidden gem

Wing night is awesome. The amount of flavors they have is huge and the flavors are SO good! The wings are huge and packed with meat. Definitely the best wing place around. I haven’t been there other days of the week but wing night is definitely worth it. Usually packed with people so make reservations.

We drove 20 miles here to try the ribs. They were out of ribs. So we decided we would try something else. They were out of chicken breast. They out of potstickers. They were out of mac n cheese. They were out of chili mac. They were out of waffle fries. They seemed to be out of nearly every single item we ordered. It was absurd, and it ruined our evening. We Weren’t even offered so much as a soda for the situation. We will not be back.
Have always had a great time here. Wings are out of sight and the specials are new and different. Have never been disappointed
